This channel is a breath of fresh air. The way these subjects are approached without hyperbole, exaggeration, or the typical childishness of the people who typically discuss these subjects. Whereas other channels are edgelords mad at daddy and trying to find an identity, this feels like a professor giving a lesson. Nothing edgy, nothing stylized, not trying to be cool or anything, just a real, serious discussion.
Not to insult the teenaged edgelords out there, we were all there once.

This is very reminding of the 100th Monkey Effect. If you haven´t heard of it , scientists in the 1950s observing the behavior of monkeys on Kojima island Japan as monkeys on this island learned to wash sweet potatoes in water before eating them, this unprecedented behavior suddenly and inexplicably appeared in unrelated groups of monkeys in the neighbouring islands. NB: Kojima monkeys do not swim.

My mom talked about this. When I was a kid, she and I would sit on the patio with a shuffled deck of cards and try to send each other the image of the card selected. Each was random. The first few were never successful but after ten minutes of locking into the game, we'd nail 7 or 8 cards and their color in a row. Thank you for the book recommendation. In my Amazon cart :-)

😂 This is just mind blowing for a person like me, who only found out 6 months ago that people can actually visualize anything in there minds lol. For 41 years i thought that that was just a figure of speech ! I have aphantasia, so when i shut my eyes there is darkness. So the idea that someone can visualize something is mind blowing 😂 so that 2 people can see the same thing, that is going over my head!

    • @African2102
      @African2102 8 месяцев назад

Aphantasia leaves me questioning it, I mean I see black behind my eyelids too but a visualization starts abstract and with more focus, time, meditations becomes more tangible and percievable.
      You dream right?
I feel if people with aphantasia still dream, then maybe they might just not be utilizing that imagination muscle.
I could be wrong. I've never actually spoken in person to someone with it, but that's my current thinking that I'm randomly sharing.
      Stay well :)

Since I was a child I ALWAYS had such a creative imagination... as I grew up I was conditioned out of it to some extent until I started ascending consciously. I started to realize my imagination was actually a portal way through to the astral realm and there I can converse with aspects of live or deceased people. This video really helped solidify that experience for me! Really love this content... it resonates so deeply 💗

Great video and topic. In my experience, Spirit can use our imagination as a medium through which to communicate. You can project an image in your mind like a pool of water or a book and ask your guides to use that image to speak through. I find they can do this when you bring up an emotion too or a thought. You can turn the mental tap on and they will continue the thread. Also, true intuitive hits feel more multi-dimensional than our pure imagination. Inspired psychic hits will have a specific texture to them, because they’re pulling in from the timeless realms often they’ll feel beyond time. You’ll recognize they’re truly psychic when the language of the message is slightly more advanced than your personal vocabulary. Or if they contain insights you didn’t already have on a personal level. To me, inspired communication feels like it’s coming from an advanced being. Thank you for bringing up this point!

I think everyone have had weird experiences just thinking about someone and then they call you, or you meet them the following day etc.. It's weird that so many people don't believe in the collective unconcious and thinks it's crazy when it's most definitely real. Another example I like to use is the fact that the bow and arrow seemed to appear around the world in different cultures at roughly the same time. And needless to say this was before global digital communication. :P

Critics cite a lack of evidence for morphic resonance and inconsistencies between its tenets and data from genetics, embryology, neuroscience, and biochemistry. They also express concern that popular attention paid to Sheldrake's books and public appearances undermines the public's understanding of science.")

The experiment you did made me laugh out loud! but also makes me wonder how literally (for lack of a better word) the collective takes what we put into it. It also reminds me of the mantra Aham Brahmasmi, meaning I am Brahman or I am all, which explains why something learned by one aspect is available to every other even across time.

Do you know about 'Indra's net'? I think it's a beautiful analogy...

    • @rahulnair7714
      @rahulnair7714 4 года назад

@@FoolishFishBooks Indra's net is really a very beautiful analogy describing that each reflects all. Also, if you consider the net as a whole, it perfectly describes physical existence. The net is also known as mayajaal or the web of illusion for the very same reason and is a very central concept in Hinduism, which teaches that the world of the senses is fleeting and one caught up in satisfying earthly pleasures is chained to it and doomed to an endless cycle of rebirths. The whole point of Hinduism is to escape maya or the web of Indra (however beautiful it may seem). Indra and his heavenly court of demigods, interestingly, are also responsible for the everyday affairs of physical life and much of the Vedas are dedicated to pleasing them with rituals. Only the Vedanta (End of the Vedas) deals with the science of self-realization. The net also I think describes the fractal nature of the universe. Just my thoughts on the subject, it has been drilled into my head since childhood :P

I really like that you make a bridge between explored ideas and recommended books. In that way your esoteric talks tie very well in with your book reviews. Rubert Sheldrake has done some rather promising, if not convincing, experiments but I was informed through a talk by him some years ago that it was usually tough to gain financial support for these, even despite the fact that an experiment could be carried out rather cheaply. I think the phenomenon that you cover is what Sheldrake calls "morphic fields".
On a more humorous note, your video makes me associate to one of the opening scenes in Ghosbusters in which Bill Murray runs a telepathy experiment akin to the ones you described. Bill lie about the test results, just to hit on a female test participant , haha. Sexual temptation goes indeed hand in hand with esoteric and spiritual practice. History and the imagination of cultists will approve ;)

…about your question of when does our mind go from sending to receiving, from my experiences it behaves/appears like a torus field in terms of there’s always a inflow and an outflow of energy/information and learning to focus on one or the other is the real trick of it. . After we’re able to even sense such stuff. Super fun to work on :)
And the entities part, for what it’s worth, if anything lol, I’ve come to understand the animal/beast type forms we encounter or see during initial stages of initiation are actually the manifestations of our inner and usually lower mind (shameful and embarrassing thoughts/ideas/memories). But I have been taught that when you do encounter a human like entity that’s obviously outside of the usual inner reflections i mentioned above they’re usually others trying to say what’s up. lol. It’s awesome you’ve experienced that man I’m jealous

Fantastic you’re bringing this subject up (this stuff always excites me). Yes when I first started practicing I was practicing on names given to me by my mothers friend. When I was relaying to my mothers friend on what I picked up on from one of the names I was given (most of the information I was picking up on with the first few names seemed too general for me to feel I was really onto something) I remember seeing a man making bags in the reading I was doing (this was in the imagination not out and about), but I thought that sounded silly I must of just made it up so I ignored it, so when talking to her (she was on the phone) she was agreeing with the information I picked up, then she said “O by the way he makes bags”, at that moment I felt a sudden surge of excitement, and fear. One moment I’m a material atheist just playing around with this stuff, the next I’m fully blown by the possibilities of the universe that’s lying within and without. But yes this stuff is very very real, keep practicing, it’s amazing.

It is often thought that Rupert Sheldrake conducted the 'rat experiment' himself - he didn't BUT I wrote this because the true story is even more interesting. The original work goes rightback to 1920 when W McDougall at Harvard noticed, as reported above, that new rats seemed to learn the maze quicker than their predecessors. Having no standard scientific explanation, F Crew at Edinburgh took up the challenge, largely in order to debunk the experiment. To his surprise he confirmed the original findings. This was then picked up by W Agar in Melbourne who not only got the same data but collaborated with Crew in order to show that the effect worked, regardless of distance. At the time the findings were heavily critised for all kinds of 'scientific' reasons - which is what science research does and, in itself, is correct. However, Agar wwent on to iron out the experimental criticism and over several years continued to refine the experiments. Even after addressing the experimental weaknesses, he continued to confirm the original findings. Finally in 1954 a report was published which addressed all the criticism and had amassed a huge amount of data which supported the original idea. Something was definately happening - something outside of the standard scientific model and for which there was no obvious explanantion, other than there was some type of 'connection' between all the animals. (This affect has been noticed in other life forms - but that is another story). Now, to me as a physicist, here is the sad but entirely predictable point - after all the research had been carried out, critised, refined, analysed and it STILL showed the affect you would think that Agar, et al., would be on their way to their Nobel prize. But no! Instead they simply ignored and, largely, forgotten about until Rupert brought them back into the headlines. It is a wonderful story and, in itself, hints at the potential that exists for all of us - indeed for everything. Thank you FF for this video.

hello i have been watching your channel now for a few months now and i love your content keep it up! I had to just say some thing about this one lol. I am an artist i was born one i like to say i have many interests and passions i have put time in an developed my skills. Art could/would be the same but i was never a passionate about it, when someone is born with something they dont have to work so hard at it. Over the last few years i guess one could say i have been growing spiritually. I realized a couple things, as there would be times that i wouldnt create work some lasting a few months, the longest a couple years. One, now that i have been somewhat consistant for the last couple of years when i first started back up how theraputic and devine it was to sit and create as if this is what i should do. Two, the creative process, sometimes i have to think or imaginate to create, but sometimes others "vision" would pop in side my head or as i like to say my third eye. Where they come from i dont know there could be many variables....subconciouss, someone elses thoughts transfers to me, spirits? also i can tell ur an artist by ur little doodle there and ur calligraphy brush pen, maybe u understand what i mean? now that i have mentioned it maybe u can do a video about the third eye/all seeing eye etc? Cheers keep up the good work

I am very curious about these experiments! Especially the frog and the maze. Was the frequency of increasingly shorter time occurred beyond chance? Jung is always so hard to understand for me, especially when I had to tackle him independent of any guidance. But my understanding of his collective unconscious is more like a common denominator rather than icloud, but I am not too sure if I got that right. The implication though is that, I am not saying these things are not valid, but simply being devil's advocate if I may, the messages could have been communicated in other ways....and those rats in London and Sydney might have not run the maze under the same exact conditions enough to ensure that the variable under observation was indeed what you are observing.....? I am not trying to be an egg, as these are questions I often asked myself in my "quest". You know I am a "believer" and your first ever esoteric topic and personal experience was what drew me to your content "back in the day" (It was only last year!). Thanks for a topic always meaty enough worthy of sinking our collective teeth into!

My understanding of Jung's collective unconscious idea is very much analogous to an i-cloud - literally, I, as a member of the Human race, am supposed to be able (under the right conditions) to access the experiences of any human being from any era. The Akashic records if you will.
And Sheldrake's experiements were very thorough and repeated under many different conditions with the same (increaing) result. I've actually found a book in which he describes the experiments - probably more reliable than my memory of his description from a good few years ago:

@@FoolishFishBooks Ah. I need to go back to Jung's book where he first proposed the idea of the universal or collective unconscious. Because I distinctly remember thinking about icloud and finding out it is not quite that way. Will get back to you on what I can conclude! Thanks for those links!!

I know its a few months old at this point, but I just found your videos. I have had a large fascination with Terence McKenna for the last 4 years, I couldnt tell you why aside from the fact i listened to him during a psychedelic experience. But I was wondering your thoughts on him if you had any. He never striked me as a believer in much aside from the idea of love in his final days and the I-Ching. Thanks either way, the videos are great. Thank you.

Both "free will" and the "separate self" (or ego) are illusions, so therefore there really might not be a division between what we generate and what we pick up?

Of course, ultimately, you're absolutely right, I guess it depends on perspective. My words in this particular video are very much from the perspective of the local ego, informed by the times that it has been transcended.

Maybe because of their nature. Every animal specie has a nature. Food and sex are really strong forces that can push the animal to traps. Same with us, we are animals too.

  • @cognitivedissident4615

Doesn't sound crazy to me. To think that the unlearned specialized complex behaviors, that species all over the world exhibit, are the result of random genetic mutations over time is what sounds crazy. Which begs the question, why does our species not benefit from Sheldrake's theory more readily? I would venture to say that it is our egos. I also see the present crisis as breaking down many egos.

I can 100% get behing all of that :/
I think a lot of people are afraid to think at all, and it seems to me that despite their stated mission to observe and change their opinion based on evidence, the majority of the scientific community can be as dogmatic and unprepared to accept evidence as the majority of the religious community are. I don't think it's about ideology, I think it's about being human. We don't have to search very far to find genius scientists who were shunned by their peers and had their funds cut off because their line of inquiry went against received ideas of "how things are". I'm sure future generation will think of him as we now think of Tesla et al.

Researching the experiments on rats it seems that the original experiments had this effect beacause as the experiments went on each generation of rats are raised better than that of the generation before. This at least is the conclusion given to the original experiments

In a similar vein, I also recommend checking out the work of Dean Radin. He's one of the most distinguished scientist in the ESP/Psi/Paranormal research field. He has a lot of good talks and interviews on RUclips and wrote a couple of books, the last one being on scientific evidence for the reality of magic. Fascinating and mind-blowing stuff!

Telepathy is much more easier than this. Just take it easy. Don't send information. Put an intention in your mind that you will be connected to the other person. Then just imagine. They will receive it. Keep it simple like everything is carrying out by a server computer.
BTW, this universal connection is not unique to living organisms. In an experiment, scientists measured the time required for crystallizing a specific drug in their lab. They did the same procedure over and over again and the time got shorter and shorter each time.
It seems to me that memories are being stored in a cloud storage, and not our brains. We can have access to this storage whenever we need it. However, the disturbing fact is that you can have access to the other portions as well (for example, you can read my personal information. Or any other data that exist in the cloud).. Just ask for any information and wait for the answer. Trust the information. These are not your imagination. Don't dismiss anything. You can't create anything out of nothing. If you are imagining something, then it exists somewhere in the universe. Tune your receiver and see what happens.
