My breaking point was seeing the generation before me struggling with their health all b/c they didn’t/don’t “eat right” nor exercise. I told myself if I don’t make a change, it’s going to be me but honestly, I’m struggling with lack of motivation right now

My breaking point was going into cardiac arrest after a zumba class...and it was beginner level. Prior to that I was 248 lbs. I was continuously stuck in that cycle of having intense periods of motivation, to completely falling off the tracks.
I also just found myself feeling extremely uncomfortable in every step I took, everytime i looked at myself in the mirror and felt shame for what I did to bring myself to that point. I have always loved the outdoors and hiking/kayaking/swimming, but I couldnt even bring myself outside anymore because I didnt want to be seen.
So after the emergency room visit (I was only 23 at the time it happened), I realized that the way I was feeling about life was not the way I wanted it to be, so I took things slow. I'm 25 now and I've lost 65 lbs so far and I still have about 30 more to go until my goal weight, but I have never felt more in control of my body mind and spirit in my life. Results with longevity take time

My breaking point was recognizing I’ve became complacent and I have the tools to change. There is no one or nothing stopping me from being my dream self. I can put that work in. All it takes is discipline and consistency. I want to be healthy. I recognized I don’t like how I look in pictures, my face has gotten bigger etc. I’m tired of having to wear girdles that cut into my ribs like being 100% honest. I got tired of being tired when I walk for long distances. I miss wearing high heels but I can’t right now because my knees can’t handle my weight. These are all the reasonings why I am dedicated to being better for me. Because I love me and I deserve the best version of me. So I’m going to show up as her.

I’m not sure if I’ve fully hit my breaking point but everything has just built up and i’m so done with feeling terrible. I’m in my first year of university and for most of it it was really good. I was having fun, eating well, working out. Then around January- February the guy I was talking to started dating someone else, all of his friends who were also my friends cut me off, there was drama with my best friend and our friend group, and my grandaddy was put on hospice. I felt so alone and overwhelmed. I have also been working 3 jobs while in school and just have felt so overwhelmed. I haven’t been to the gym lately and have been eating bad and have lost all my confidence. I feel like i’m just stuck in a rut and going through the motions everyday. I’m lacking in my faith and relationship with God as well. This summer i’m just ready to get away from everything and focus back on my health and start feeling good again.

I’ve never struggled with my weight so I never realized how much the food I ate affected my body, my mood, my stress levels, my anxiety, and even made my depression worse. I was going days, not knowing why I was here or what my purpose was because I would feel so tired and sluggish every moment of my life, to the point where I rarely left my bed. That was my breaking point. I looked at myself in the mirror one day and realized that I have been bloated for over a month, which has never happened to me in my life and I knew I had to get a grip. I haven’t looked back at my toxic lifestyle habits since. Thank you for making this video because there is a lot of women like me that need to hear this.

I think my breaking point was just feeling like I had enough disappointing myself. Starting and stopping and starting again has been a cycle for the last few years. I knew I lacked discipline in all areas of my life and I just had enough. I knew I was strong enough. I knew I could do it and this time I was a first time mom so I also think becoming a mom changed me and taught me how much stronger I am. I paid off my credit card debt, I have been fixing my relationship with food, being so consistent with the gym and meal prep etc. I really had enough and worked on building discipline in all areas of my life and it’s been life changing.

I'm sure I recently hit my breaking point. I have been in this constant loop of saying I'll start a new challenge, a new diet, one month glow up, and 3 month glow-up, etc., and never following through with it. For as long as I remember I've always wanted to change. A few days ago I had a full-on mental breakdown because not only do I hate my body, but also my mind and personality. I decided after that to not change myself but to better myself. I think it might seem as if it's the same, but "change" to me was full of hate and pity but to "better" is to show love daily by taking good care of myself. I am 18 years old and my main goal right now is to be healthy in every aspect, not to look pretty or glow up.

My breaking point was realising that I was becoming exactly like my mom. And I mean not her character or her looks but her outlook on life. "Something bad happens...I have to live with it. Can't change it. She feels uncomfortable in here body for more than 20 years but it can't be changed. She tore the meniscus in her knee...I'll wait until it heals on its own. Now my knee hurts every time I walk more than ten minutes...guess I just can't walk anymore. Every ache and pain in here body she just ignores and lives with it. And I was doing the same. I had chronic back pain at 20 years old. Ind for fucking 6 years I was, well guess that's just my life know. Then I reached my breaking point. If my life felt this bad at age 26 I do not want do grow old. And then I realised my mom showed my my future. And I was like...if I don't want to live a life where I can't walk more than 5 minutes I better get to changing it. And here I am two years later and pain free since 1 1/2 years.

My breaking point was when I came back home from USF and noticed that I was 140 pounds. Honestly it was the worst feeling and I had the all or nothing mindset. I always been the weight since 2022 and I wanted to lose it for my health. I also haven’t been sleeping well and eating more than usual. So I started to do intermittent fasting to help my food cravings and start walking again. I do need to put in strength training as well because it been two weeks since I was at the gym.

But thank you for this video because it resonates a lot with me. 🤍 My question would be: How do you remain focused on your goals when everything around you is falling apart? It’s a rut that I am in and it’s like I’m trying to keep my head above water to keep from drowning. Hopefully things will get better from here on out. Happy Sunday Everyone. 🤍💐
