I made this cheesecake yesterday. My parents and sister couldn’t come to terms with the fact that I made it because I’m a mediocre cook and baker and I’ve had so many failures. But weirdly this one was very easy maybe because you manage to dumb all your recipes down to my level. Thank you so much Gemma!!! 😭❤️

That looks like a delicious recipe. I used to sell my cheesecakes to restaurant here in town and I totally believe in adding a little flour. I love that New York cheesecake Style. Also what helps with alleviating your cheesecake cracking its letting it cool in the oven slowly. Helps tremendously

I just popped this into the oven! Thank you for the video! I only had 1 2/3 Cups of graham crackers so I used some crushed Acai cereal flakes to make up the difference. It made a little sweet aroma in the crust. I can NOT wait to taste this. The filling was so fluffy and delicious from my finger! YUM!

@@biggerbolderbaking Made it a few times since my comment and I am making it again next time my brother and his partner come over to celebrate the new year and her birthday since she turns 27 the 4th of January ❤ the only change I have to apply is using the creamcheese out of the plastic tubs since they don’t sell creamcheese bricks rapped in foil/paper here in Belgium…

note for any cheesecake: air bubbles as well as lumps can cause cracked cheesecakes as the air bubbles expand in the oven. those two things will also give your cheesecake a texture that’s not as smooth as a cheesecake that’s made perfectly. or, almost perfectly. to avoid air bubbles, don’t go past medium speed for long periods of time when mixing. to avoid lumps, any time you scrape the bowl, make sure your tool has no cream cheese lumps on it, and also make sure your cream cheese is not cold / hard. also, sift your flour.
and scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl once in a while too.

Just an update: I used this recipe and used biscoff base instead and added a thin layer of white chocolate ganache on top of the cheese filling and omg it was amazing 😍😍😭 even the people in my family who don’t like cheesecake loved it and want more!

I baked it yesterday! I didn't have any vanilla and used soft quark instead of cream cheese, but it turned out pretty tasty nevertheless. It was literally the first time I've ever baked a cheesecake and I'm really surprised I didn't ruin it. I love how simple this recipe is. I like cheesecakes, but I'm not good at baking, so I was too intimidated by other recipes to even try it.

I'm definitely one of those people who has never found any of the cheesecakes I've tried at the Cheesecake Factory good. They are either overtly sweet, or lack depth or more flavor. More flavors or options doesn't always mean better.

They felt daunting to make before but the instructions in your video was super easy to follow and it tasted exactly like the samosas I've had at restaurants or parties! Note: for this type of recipe, which is really a custard, will be different to the norm. What will work for this is a thickening agent, such as cornflour/cornstarch. 1/4 cup/1oz/28g of cornstarch. Slake it (that is blend it until you can pour it) with a little cream or milk, then add it to the batter, mix it through, and bake. The egg in this recipe is to set it, and the cornflour/cornstarch will do that too.
