Does using piping for seats make the seam where used stronger than no piping? I saw a YT post by a boat maker say they use some kind of piping on all of their seat and sun deck covers to prevent seams from failing and splitting with age and humidity and people getting in and out of the boat. What is your experience?

Thx for the tip I have question when you are using real leather for seats what once should I use
I wrap the cord with leather, I usually glue it and then sew it, takes time but makes for a better job imho
I try my best to not use piping, it just looks too 1960s to me. But when I do, that’s how I do it as well
Again so generous of you to share, number 3 looks daunting but will give it a try 🫡
