In this video, I will do a hotel review on my experience at the Park Hyatt Kyoto where it was the best hotel I stayed in Japan and Kyoto. It provided me the best value in all of my hotel stays in Japan as it cost over $1000 per a night. I stayed two (2) nights at the Park Hyatt Kyoto and was upgraded to a garden view as well.

Please do! Unfortunately, words dont describe the level of service i received but it is closely comparable to your Waldorf experiences. Its like they made sure to roll out the red carpet every time i came and left the property

How far in advance did you book? Was trying to book this property last year for May this year and even with all the (optional tool$, alerts, etc.) I used, not one 1 day ever showed up available to book with points! I was so bummed 😭 I ended up staying a couple of nights at the Hyatt Place (which is admittedly the nicest Hyatt Place I've ever stayed in 😅) I'm glad you got to enjoy it tho! 👏
Awww that is terrible to hear. I actually booked hyatt place first but I heard some weird stories, so, I pivoted to the Park Hyatt.
As for booking, I used alerts, and booked 1 night each.
first booking was done thru an alert thru rooms.aero and was booked on 3/11 & second alert came from maxmypt and was book on 4/9.
Stays were on 5/19 & 5/20, so I was able to book a month or two out and I actually received alerts u could have booked within a month.
