And I think Ellie Minibot was a nominee too, and she's just about finished building Neurodog; probably the largest robot dog not owned by a government or a robotics company. I didn't recognise the other nominee, but they probably have some tech gravitas too.

The thing I love about neuro amd vedal interactions is when vedal will say normal programmer things that we've all said to our programs pounding on a keyboard in the dark. And vedals program can talk back. To date my favorite neuro/evil bit is them falsifying errors for attention.
Being honest I hope that next year Vedal wouldn't be a candidate for this specific reward, he has become way to big to lose, up to the point that even if he says not to vote for him he would still win. This makes the awards be way less interesting since people already know who would win and these same creators will get hate for it. I don't want Vedal to get hate just like Ironmouse does.
Successful people get haters, always. And awards are also popularity& connections contests. In the end, it doesn't matter, as long as it can be argued that there are objective reasons for the winner getting the award and it is not full-on favouritism.

I mean imagine if Disney, Warner Brothers, Sony etc...could create their own version of Neurosama. ESPN would be drastically different with AI sport hosts, Cartoons like Dora the Explorer with Dora being an interactive AI model etc... Vedal has created Pandora's Box with Neuro.
