This Minecraft Bedrock slime farm is simple and efficient. I made this video on 1.16, but the farm still works on 1.20 and on all platforms of Minecraft Bedrock whether you play on mobile, console, or PC. Please like, comment, subscribe, and check out my other Minecraft videos! Thanks for watching!

IMPORTANT: You should set your simlation distance to 4 chunks. You can do that in the settings of your world.
If you make this farm in a desert biome, you will need to use iron golemns instead of snow golemns. To make iron golemn chambers, dig out a 3x3x3 block space and make the front wall a 2 block high solid block wall. You will not need a minecart chest.

i was in a mountain biome and found a half stack of emerald ores :O
I dug a 10x10 large quarry to the bedrock and didn't found any single piece of diamond

This farm is entirely too big, for the number of pistons you'll ever need.
It's almost better to camp a swamp at night and just wait.
I mean, unless you're building some insane farm, or several, you won't _NEED_ to do this. This is great for big multiplayer servers, it's not so good for smaller, or single player ones.
It's better to go get the balls when you need them, or to just build a single layer near a chunk you've already lit up.

@@madprime6769 no, you can bring this as high or low as you want... It's just not gonna make much difference. Bedrock spawning is very different than java. You _must_ build it LIKE this, so all the spawns are "cave" spawns.... Meaning eight is the max at any given time.
Again, slimeballs are nice, but you'll never need this much slime ever... and it's not worth building IMO.

A small boost to the farm: Slimes won't spawn where there are torches, so replace them with Jack'o'lanterns in the floor and it'll help spawn rates a bit!
Or place the torches on the sides...

For those who think he means your world render distance no, for most the lowest you can go is 6 or 8, he is talking about simulation distance you can only get to it if you back out of your world then go into settings and scroll down is should be below the seed option. Set that to 4 it basically makes it so any mobs past those 4 chunks wont appear hence more spawning closer to you. I had a ton of issues like no slimes spawning and etc... literally left my xbox on for 5 hours and only got 14 slimes. Once I fixed the simulation distance and not render distance I got over a stack in less than 5 minutes. Hope this helps also make sure to place torches in nearby caves and if your in a desert use iron golems instead.

For those wondering if it works in 1.19, just made it in the last 1.19 version available, I dug an L shape of 3 chunks together, adapted it and followed every step and works wonders. I dug all the way til level 5 like JC said, stayed AFK in a diagonal beyond 25 blocks and works really good in hard difficulty. After 5 minutes of AFK got like 3 stacks or so of slime balls. Will AFK for a whole hour and then I'll leave my stats.

I built this today in version 1.18.12 and it works perfectly as prescribed by Jason. The only change is that I used the iron golem method instead of snow golems. Good job, JC.

Haha I was looking for info on pe 1.18.12 the y level part. Ok I've built his simple bamboo farm it works and it's not y level sensitive like slime spawning is.

It works really well! Plus, going from 10 to 4 chunk render distance increases all spawns in the Nether, too! I was on 10 chunks for way too long.

I was literally looking for slime chunks yesterday this video came out at the perfect time!
When digging out a slime chunk to build this farm underneath my main base. I found a spider spawner and a geode near the bottom layer. I built your afk spider spawner farm and carved out the cracked blocks of the geode so that they could produce clusters in all directions. I can now sit at the spider afk spot and the slime farm runs and the geode grows clusters all at the same time. Got super lucky. I had to use iron golems since I was in a savanna. I had no idea the snow golems would immediately die until I tried them.. then returning to your comments I saw your tip. Thanks again.. I've built 3 of your farms so far and they all work on bedrock 1.19.

For some reason i cant get the minecart with the hooper in the first layer to return on its own and keep going without stopping. Mines just stop when it hit the end of the rail

When i was digging up to make the ladder above the afk spot i bumped into a cave, so since i was a bit above diamond level i decided to go exploring and found an 8 vein. So since i have a fortune III pick i got 16 diamonds :)
I have about a dozen farms in my world and I only use JCs farms. I used his creeper farm to make TNT to save on a lot of the digging for this slime farm. Thanks again Jason, not one of your farms has failed me!

@@carolinemorgan4208 you probably can and just get less but I recommend not mining out the floors from the start so there is less to mine and less to place.
However if you just don’t need as much slime it would be fine with less slime. My farm started working before I was even done mining it all

Legit thought it wouldn't work at first. Works amazingly (even tho i had this massive 1.18 cave right next to it.). Thank you man, keep the good work up. (Also for the people who keep asking, it does work on 1.18 and no, there's no need to go deeper than y level 5. But like some people have already pointed out, slimes are no longer hostile towards snow golems so just use iron golems instead. You also don't have to put minecart chests. Yes, it takes some iron but it is deffinetly worth it.)
I just finished the iron farm and are AFKing at it right now and this comes out of nowhere! I can't keep up with these farms lol!

Works in 1.18. Snow golems are no longer attracting slimes. (at least for me) I switched them out for iron golems instead and it works flawlessly. Just make your hole big enough to accommodate your iron golems and then use fences instead of a minecart w/chest to keep it contained. Thanks JC! another great farm with some tweaks.

Quick tips: You can keep a lot of the blocks instead of mining them out just make sure they are the right ones, also light it up as you mine it so you dont have to deal with mobs.
Works great in 1.18. At first it was only getting me like 1-2 slime balls for every ten minutes, but I checked the nearby chunks and filled up all the caves in them, now it's getting me about a stack every ten minutes
I think nearby chunks shouldn't affect it?
(Only if they are not slime ones)

I love this farm I play on bedrock realms and this farm 100% works. It will be hard to dig out the whole chunk but it’s totally worth it. Also, the slime chunk finder for bedrock works. 😃

Tip: get haste 2 and a efficiency 4 netherite pickaxe/efficiency 5 diamond pickaxe to mine this out, remember to bring a shovel for dirt and gravel.
Tip if your on a server find players and enslave them so they can dig it out for you

I can confirm that changing the setting to 4 chunks worked, at the moment when I lost all hopes with so many hours of digging and filling caves. I didn’t put the system for auto killing. Just needed to be sure for slime generation before setting the auto killing. After setting 4 chunk I was overwhelmed by the number of slimes generated and manually killing them. Able to get 140-150 slime balls in five minutes + some xp. I am thinking of keeping this farm manual, as I can get some xp also.

Tip when your mining out the chunk use tnt then just clean up the walls and floor it’s much easier

this took forever but, totally worth it
As of now...1.20 it doesnt matter what biome youre in...you need to use iron golems, snow golems no longer attract slimes. This farm still works....it works well enough i found the nearest 4 chunk slime chunk and blew out the entire 4 chunk box and made this farm cover all 4....dont need as many layers due to spawn mechanics and it increased spawn rates exponentially. New afk spot ..in the middle of the 4 chunks floating above the spawning platforms
Edit... yes i still blew out the entire chunk to help eliminate any caves above...and exposed any caves nearby and just torched them and then covered them up. This farm is plenty for any single player if made correctly and will produce way more slime then what you need. I play on a smp so larger scale projects for better rates are needed.
If I made this by my iron farm and use iron golems will it break my iron farm?

Thatnk you you always have to best tutorials and are straight to the point.
When making the farm, I reccomend adding mending, efficiency, and unbreaking on your pickaxe because it takes a long time to mine the chunk and if you don't want your pickaxe to break, then you also need a xp farm to mend your pickaxe

Are the coordinates still the same or do you go down to -59 instead of 5 since it’s the new bedrock level
I just made this today (again) and it still works! I had to add another powered rail in the middle with a lever under the block it was on though, mine stopped for some reason. But it works and is awesome I got like 2 stacks of slime blocks in like 15-20 minutes

I built my JC Creeper farm over the ocean..which also happened to be over a slime chunk...so now I have a Creeper Farm above Sea Level and a Magma/Soul Elevator to my Slime Farm below sea level.
