It's confirmed .. no more super 7 for me ... They look nice from time to time , but the plastic feels cheap articulation sucks , and the cool accessories included almost never work with the figure , and high price point , I'm out. Lol
It’s insanity! Seeing that they originally sold these for $40 then bumped them to $55 really lit a special fire in me. Haha. Have you seen the Andre the Giant people are posting pictures of? Talk about a scam

Man, I legit thought that the plastic on Stimpy was yellowing because of that paint job.
I don’t know who is the final person to approve their products but it’s time they are fired. Especially after Andre the Giant…
I bought them when they originally came out, and had no idea they did a re-release w/altering the colours. Can't even tell what they changed, but still have mine in the boxes buried underneath a mound of figures. I'm just happier with the figurine 5-pack that was at Toys r Us right before they went under, or the ReAction versions. They definitely get the job done at a fraction of the cost. It's hard to make designs like this so big and not look toyish. But doesn't help when it's Super7 plastic, and put bare minimum articulation in.
Yeah, for real! It’s really hard to tell from photos online but I THINK it’s just the stomach of Stimpy and the overall color of Ren that is lighter
I don't like when companies give a lot of accessories with some characters and less with others. I'm looking right, at you mafex.

Personally haven’t preordered anything aside from Robin Hood, Prince John (discounted), and Fantasia Mickey ($20). The rest all come from my friend who I mention at the beginning of the video. Next Super7 is the Mummra he sent
You're spot on with these. I love ren and Stimpy but I can't bring myself to pay that kind of money for something that's so far off the mark. The combination of the colour (the 2022 version doesn't look great still), the size (shelf space is a premium I'd like these to half the size personally), qnd the lack of articulation means I know full well I wouldn't get any enjoyment out of these. And that's what it's all about right? I watched your ALF review right before this and the difference continues to be astounding in what you get for your money. IF I see these guys with a large discount I'll pick them up and keep them in the packaging because essentially that's how they display best and they look joyless to handle.

_Heeeeey,_ you got the Ren & Stimpy figures I mentioned. They're just so freakin' huge; I think even bigger than the Palisades ones I sold before getting these. Short cartoon characters just don't work well being this ginormous. I think they just make them so huge to better justify the high minimum price they set for ultimates. I only have the Palisades ones, but I like how Diamond Select did their Muppets line with each pack coming with multiple figures.
Diamond Selects sounds like they know what they’re doing. Forcing these to be so big means they can’t make the other characters that are much larger than them on the cartoon. It’s crazy. Have you seen the mess with the new Andre the Giant people are getting today?

No, but I came across those comments in your video multiple times. The only Super7 Andre I know of is the one my buddy has that's the OG one w/the afro and suede vest. Considering it's getting mentioned so much, this has gotta be something pretty damn epic, cause the other one is totally fine.

I prordered the Nendoroid Spongebob,
for the same price, the Nendoroid will be smaller but I feel will look better in scale next to other figuarts 6-7 inch figures.

both come with a Gary and a set of hands.
Super7 has 2 faces, but Nendoroid has 3 sets of eyes and 2 sets of mouths to mix and match. super7 comes with Jelly fishing stuff but Nen comes with his krabby patty, spatula and hat... which is better for a 1st figure -_-

Pretty surprised there isn't the Happy Helmet for Ren and could use a hammer when he bashes it.

I got both but my Stimpy Box is signed by his Spanish voice actor which is also the voice for Buzz Lightyear in Latino

i was excited about these figures when i saw the thumbnail, but then i got a good look at Stimpy.
i don't know how they got the colors so wrong, and those accessories are pitiable.
i actually remember where all of the props refer to in the show, but they add nothing to the sets.
They could have used so much more.
• A log
• A table with boogers underneath
• A box of powdered toast
• Ren could have had a mouse costume .. . ANYTHING would have worked.
What the heck are we supposed to do with those nipples?? They don't even work as background clutter. They're just there. For apparently no reason. i also find the scale of these figures a little disturbing.

I feel like these are awesome man. I like the matte finish for sure and the choices for alternative heads and accessories are great some are simple and I admit I don’t remember all of the accessories from the show but you can tell they are definitely from the ten and Stimpy world. Articulation is limited but I’m not expecting Spider-Man poses with these guys and it would make it look like a toy more for sure but I get it it’s a toy lol. Sorry a face came warped but I do like the face change option instead of alternate heads for stimpy. Can’t tell you how many figs I’ve broken with just trying to swap heads. Overall they have a great look and awesome for a shelf display. It would be cool if we could get more hinges without risking the look of the fig. Sorry for the novel but I love our pillow talk
But at $55 each are you still sure about everything you said? At the original $40 I would be a little more willing to let things go, but I HAVE to consider what they are charging. If they were cheaper I would be happy with them, but still dislike their size

Considering the loose joints issue of other super7 figures, I'm fine with less articulation.. Less possible poses, more stability
They should just make better joints lol

@@NostalgiaUnboxed I personally feel that’s a little steep. But it seems to be the way we are going with these figures that aren’t really marketed towards or made for kids.
But it’s also indicative of shorter and much smaller production runs. The lower numbers made and produced in China mean that the per unit cost goes up and eventually just gets passed onto the customer.

Ren is missing the Happy Helmet. That could have been in the bottom of the "plastic prison." Otherwise, I dig them.

@@NostalgiaUnboxed I was/am a big fan of the cartoon, so I do. I missed the initial $40 release, but happy for the re-release and color correction. Another issue with them being so big is that if they ever make a Mr. Horse, or Powdered Toast Man, I'd be hard pressed to find room for them.

16:59 These guys are even bigger than 1/4 scale! If they quarter scale, every 2 inches would equals 1 foot. I mean this Stimpy's like 6 inches tall...you really think he's 3 foot tall on the show? Noooooo lol. So I guess they're 1/3 scale, or simply _'whatever the fuck Super7 decided to do'_ scale 🤷🏼

To be fair, their scale in the show was all over the place. In one episode, they lived in a bird house.

All the more reason for them to be way smaller, and be in a 2-pack for $55. Then we can get properly scaled larger figures like the Shaven Yak, Powdered Toast Man & Mr. Horse.
I wanted to love these but I can't. I'm looking to get rid of mine and Super7 has slowly soured for me over my past couple purchases.

Super7 tries to give the illusion that their products are worth a premium price, but increasingly, they're failing even at that.
Yeah, too large with bad seams on these. And now they can’t add the other characters from the show because the scale is off

I definitely don't trust Super7 enough to order the figures before seeing a competent review. Any chance someone will lend you those figures for review when they finally arrive?

I feel like for $40 they could do a lot better job at hiding seam lines and such. I also don't care for the sculpts. Something feels off-model to me about both of them. Could be the plastic color, but then the new variants you showed don't look much better. When I can get a NECA TMNT figure for $30, and it has about equal levels of accessories, more paint, and better QC, you're going to find these a hard sell. Their new Power Ranger line looks atrocious outside of maybe the monsters, and those have a $55 price tag. It's sort of the Diamond Select Toys syndrome. I find DST figures terrible, usually with poor QC and poor paint quality, but if you ever dare speak up about them, their fanboys will pile on you and lambast you on the internet.
Hahaha. I have run across a handful of Super7 fans that blast NECA, but I have no percentage of my brain that can understand how they think the way they do. You’re absolutely right about the differences here. $32 for most NECA makes them a steal especially as Hasbro starts inching closer to that price.
@@NostalgiaUnboxed Honestly, by and large, the Hasbro figures look better to me than the Super7 stuff. The seem lines on modern figures are far less noticeable, for starters, and they have far more articulation. I can get 4 (an entire wave) of their Lightning Collection figures for the price of less than 2 of Super7 figures, and sure, the Super7 have more accessories and a larger scale, but they look worse and are less poseable. It’s all personal preference, I guess, but for my money I’d rather go with the Hasbro offerings.

Definitely an issue. If they were priced similarly to NECA I wouldn’t be so hard them (sometimes). The Simpsons are looking great, but Power Ranger and Andre the Giant look really bad
