Another great video guys. Mike I’m sorry to see Bradford City FC not making it to the play offs. Yvonne sorry to hear about your Toe I hope it’s on the mend now. Great watching your videos as always it gives me allot of hope that one day I’ll have a little pad out there as well 😊
Hi Mike and Yvonne. Hope you are keeping well and Yvonne is on the mend. Unrelated to this video but to your previous video on the port in torrevieja. We've had our place in Playa Flamenca for nearly 20 years and never ventured down there until today. What a lovely place, and lots of restaurants offering menu del dia. Keep up the good work. Hi Pete and Anne, Yvonne is almost fully back to normal now so that's good. We are glad you've discovered that area, it certainly is worth the visit. The other side is also great with a few more good places to eat and drink....see it here: ruclips.net/video/An4JRFbZiLI/видео.html and also: ruclips.net/video/N5kAsdUrJsU/видео.html The harbour does have three areas and they all have their merits. Evening Yvonne & Mike, thanks for sharing your homeward bound video. Our hols to Quesada were just what we needed, we got very lucky with the weather from may 30th to 10th June.....only a days rain last Wednesday......otherwise, lovely weather 😊.......going back in September 👌really looking forward to episode 100 ! 🥳......hope, your majorca trip has gone well ! Adios for now, from a sunny morpeth 👋
Hi Graham, glad you enjoyed our trip home. Yes, we are looking forward to Majorca on Friday for 4 days, there will be a video, so stay tuned for that. It will be after our episode 100 about the price comparison between Spain and UK. The weather here (in the UK) is great at the moment, hope it's good in Morpeth, I'm sure it will be. Thanks for watching and for your comment, best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
@BetweentheLakes Beunos Dias Mike & Yvonne, thank you for your reply 🧡.......yes it was a great holiday and cannot wait to return in September. Very much looking forward to episode 100 & mallorca's video, too 🙂. So from a sunny morpeth, it's 3 2 1 ping ! 🍻. I hope your toe, Yvonne, makes a full and healthy recovery! 🤞
Hi Sven, yes you are right, it's a godsend for the farmers and much appreciated by them. Thanks for watching and for your comments. All the best, Mike and Yvonne.
Hi Mark, no you don’t need a computer to set them up, they will just work out of the box. But you can modify some settings on your computer using the rode software like internal recording options and dimming the indicator lights.
hi mike yvonne, poor yvonne and her toe ,she did look tired and fed up in spain when you were leaving, what an amazing shot of her sitting on plane smiling looking at camera, and she seem to cheer up and smile more getting closer to home, btw mike get them conifers trimmed there nearly blocking out the sunlight, also noticed the gentleman in you letting yvonne in the house first , to deal with the burglars, ha ha
Thanks for another interesting video, but the start watching you put your bikes away reminded me of what happened when I left Thursday, usually put my bikes up the night before but because I had evening flight left them downstairs, went to put them up when getting ready to leave for airport and gone😢😮, some toe rag had taken advantage of a broken security gate and pinched them both 😢😢
Hi Brian, Oh wow, that's bad news. We have become more careful after a couple of our subscribers had theirs pinched on the front. We chain them up wherever we go now, even at home we chain them to our gate. I don't think Torrevieja is worse than any other town in Spain but there will always be bad people everywhere. Anyway, thanks for watching and keeping us up to speed with events. Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Yeah, my own fault, I was the same always chaining them everywhere, so back onto Facebook marketplace when I get back trying to find replacements, oh well will keep me busy 😆
Yvonne, I wish you speedy recovery! 🍀 How about that weather, so odd! Looking forward to #100 ☀ We are off to the south of Spain (Malaga) for a couple of weeks of relaxation 🏖
Hi Janny, Thank you, my toe is a lot better now. Looks like the weather is back to normal now, Spain is hotter than the UK. We are setting off to Majorca later today for 4 days for my niece's wedding and they tell us it's quite hot there now after all the thunderstorms and rain. Thanks for watching, best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Good evening you two 😊Sorry to hear Yvonne has broken her toe with lots of sympathy from Mike lol 😆 We sold up last October and miss our trips out to our Casa in Sucina 😢 But watching you two makes happy memories 😊 Hopefully we’ll get out next year as our friends have an apartment in Roda in Los Alcazares where it all started for us 10 years ago. Get better soon Yvonne love Stevie x
Hi Stevie, thanks for watching and for your comment. Yes, Mike always comes across as a little sparse with his sympathy....preferring to ease the pain with laughter as opposed to empathy, but that's Mike and the laughter usually works fine. Hope you enjoy your trip to Roda soon. Best wishes, Mike and Yvonne.
Hi Mike and Yvonne, hadn't seen anything from you both for a while, nice to see you back. We've had torrential rain with an odd day of sunshine thrown in for the past month in Antalya Turkey, spitting cats and dogs outside now. Still it's welcome compared to last year with all the wild fires all over the med. Look forward to your UK/Torrevieja living costs comparison. Turkey prices have shot up last couple of years, most things are almost the same as in UK now, or even pricier
Hi Yutubis, We had a property in Turkey before we bought in Spain. It was in Didim / Altinkum. We sold it in 2017 and came to Spain the same year. It was cheaper than Spain to live there and of course lots cheaper than the UK at the time, but things did change and prices started to go up. We did love Turkey, the countryside was beautiful and the people were great. The main reason we left were the flight times, the car rental prices and the ease of coming to Spain instead of Turkey as it was in the EU then. Yes, we will do a price comparison video next and hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching and for your comment. All the best Mike and Yvonne.
@@BetweenTheLakes Looking forward to the comparison 😀 Didim would be too quiet for me, prefer the coastal big city Antalya with all amenities, we've got an Ikea, 5x MediaMarkts, 3x decathlons, even several B&Q's running under the "Koctas" name with same stuff as UK. But with the living costs probably as high as Spain now, and flight distances and high ticket prices, seriously considering a move closer to UK where my kids and their families might visit more often. And you're right about car hire prices, at least double that of Spain. I'm having some older family members here next week and car hire starts from minimum £35 a day with very limited insurance cover. Wish you both all the best 🙂
Thanks to both of you for another entertainining video, i look forward to the next one on the cost of living as i will be buying around the Montesinos area shortly i hope. I always drive over via the ferry to either Santander or Bilbao but i did fly last october from Manchester and got diverted to Ibeza due to the runway being under water but we did eventually get to Alicante gone 1 am . Like you i use ninety /180 and do try to get the 180 in sschengen , wold like to hear how you manage your schengen days . Pete
Hi Pete, we nearly bought in La Harrada in Los Montesinos before we finally decided on where we are now. We really like the town and always pay a visit when we are over. The ninty180.com website is great and the one we always use, it's great the way it always remembers your trips so you don't have to re-input them to work things out. Thanks for watching, all the best Mike and Yvonne.
Hi, loving the channel. Can I please ask Mike about his drone? Does my operator ID cover me in Spain as well? I want to take my drone to Spain so my husband and I can fly it but someone has said I need to register it with EASA or something in Spain as UK is no longer EU state. I don't want to be fined or get in trouble so wondered how you manage with yours? Thanks
Hi WelcomeinWrexham, looking forward to Bradford City playing Wrexham in League 2 next season, congratulations on your promotion. Yes, drones, you will need to register in Spain with EASA to fly there. If you go to this site, all the info there is good. www.grupooneair.com/spanish-drones-laws/ I passed my A1 and A3 using the Luxemburg site but you can do it with the Eire site also as they are in English and it makes it a bit easier. It's a similar test to the UK one, the rules are very much the same, 400 ft max height, visual line of sight, no more than 500 metres away. Privacy laws in Spain are a little stricter. More info on that web site. Thanks for watching and for your inquiry. All the best Mike and Yvonne.
Thanks so much for the help. I’m looking at the Eire site. Last thing I’d want is to go to our home in Spain and get fined or worse! Yeah Wrexham did well and Bradford will be a hard match. It’s crazy here the last two years. The cameras will follow the team again this year as well as I heard there will be a season 3 of welcome to Wrexham. Fingers crossed we both do well! 😊
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone We enjoyed watching the Wrexham series and will watch last seasons when we can. As for the drone, I have been flying mine now for a long time in Spain and have never been approached by anyone either public or police, but as I said, I fly when its quiet and I know I won't disturb or upset anyone, very low key and not too low unless it's just for us two out in the open countryside. I make sure I carry all my paperwork and I have ID cards with registration numbers etc to show any interested parties. Make sure you have the id numbers on your drone as well. Have a look at joining fpvuk.org/ for their public liability insurance which covers you for Europe at only 19.99 per year plus other benefits. All the best Mike and Yvonne.
Brilliant advice, thanks so much for taking the time. I do have my uK operator ID and flyer ID on my drone so will add the other one when I get it too. I have the Dji refresh plan but will get the third party insurance you suggested too. I did my first flight last night which went well, until my husband panicked it wasn’t landing! 😂 He thought it would land like a plane lol not vertically. I have always been a keen photographer but decided to branch out and get a GoPro and drone. We haven’t been to our house in Spain yet since buying it but will go in September so plenty of time for me to practice with the drone and video editing. I think the next season of welcome to Wrexham is in august. Your drone work in Spain is always stunning and inspired me to get into it myself so thanks 😃
