He definitely does respect kiryu with how many times he has been defeated by him already The katana will help with his odds of winning even if he still sees their fighting ability to be equal anyways

Yakuza 6 was a game rife with technical issue and strange decisions compared to previous installments, held aloft by incredible characters such as Someya and others. While it was at times painful playing through it, never was I bored.
