I can see Marcelito’s pain when he was telling his life story. He really turned his negative life into positive , worked his way to survive , and nurtured his heart to remain kind and accessible to music and good things like kindness, humility and hard honest work , instead of putting trash like grudges and whining , or laziness in it. Meanwhile, God never left him , because He wants Marcelito to help mankind through his talent that inspired the whole universe.
Marcelito, you are such inspiration. Thank you for being you.

According to his life story, when he was a baby, his mother left them 3 or 4 kids, so when his father went to jail, he brought 2 with him in jail to raise, and because his father shared his small ration of food with children , his father got sick.
Anyway, when he got sick, the warden got the children adopted and Marcelito was adopted by a police officer. The Cop’s mother didn’t treat Marcelito with kindness because he was just adopted so at 8 yrs old, when he found out he was adopted, he ran away from his adopted family. He would sleep in the streets. He went to church and prayed because he was so hungry at 8 yrs old after running away, and didn’t have anywhere to stay. He met someone who felt sorry fir him and offered Marcelito something to eat. After that , he worked as a pin boy at a bowling alley to feed himself with the money he would get from his job and still would sleep in the street sides.
Sometimes he would sell balut ( boiled duck eggs) as a part time job) he just completed 3rd grade because he did not have anybody from 8 yrs old until he found his mother at the age of 24 yrs old when he competed in a singing contest and the whole Philippines was looking for his family. And that was when he entered the singing contest to find his family to start with. So he found them , all
Of them and was surprised they went to the station when he was singing.
He said that
When he was just a child, one day, while selling eggs, someone from
Prison recognized him as his cellmate’s baby so he led Marcelito to meet his father . ( Before that , he looked for his father but could not find him
Because he was already out from prison.) .
When he met his father, he realized that he was one of his costumers who was buying eggs from him . So when they met, his father cried . But Marcelito could not live with him because his dad is raising another family ( Marcelito’s half siblings) so he told his father that he would look for his mother and his other brothers who were also adopted.) He did not want to impose living with his dad snd his dad’s other family.
So he went to Manila to look for his mom, working odd jobs , like spraying and cleaning large chicken coops and cleaning up and spraying the chicken feces from their coops,
just to make it and have something to eat. That’s why when he won that 2Million Pesos from PGT,
He vowed that if he would win, he would help people who needed help. That’s why, his charity is to build houses to those Filipinos whose house are almost run and run down. Every birthdays of Marcelito, every Christmas and New Year, they would buy hundreds sack of rice , diapers , baby’s food, canned goods, school supplies and would give it to the whole poor towns people who needed supplies and food. People from his Vlog (Marcelito Pomoy Blog) who donates money, he would use for building materials and food and supplies to build and give to the masses. If I’m missing some other things, I’m sorry. But that’s how Marcelito is, a kind, humble and giving gentleman.
