Once, when between jobs in the 1980s, i worked with my uncle Tom, he did odd jobs, d.i.y. , running repairs and general maintainance. We turned up outside a small mixed goods shops. The old woman who owned the shop, came out shouting that we cannot park there. Tom, looked at me and said, just wait. She carried on screaming, to not park there ,she had someone coming who needed that spot. After about five minutes, Tom got out and said to her, Yeah, we had been called to her shop to mend some shelving, but due to the curtious greeting we had received, decided he didn't want the job any more. The look on her face as we drove off was priceless.
I had a pace tell me they didn’t deliver and we argued for a while before I asked for a manager. Yep, I know but but but… I told him since they were denying delivering to my area could they please stop putting hang tags on my door that said they did! He sputtered and said they sometimes mail to zip codes which have areas they don’t deliver to. That someone there knew the street and knew it was too far, it wasn’t but the short road had been cut in too and each part was a different zip code and city. After he finished I pointed out none of that explained why there was a hangtag on my door! After a few more confused response including that I had called the wrong number, he agreed that if I had a hangtag with their number then they did deliver there. Geez
Meat Delivery Story: If I were OP, I'd be calling the Ministry of Labour, OSHA, the Ministry of Health, the Fire Marshal and Code Enforcement to report both my Boss AND each of the DISGUSTING places I'm delivering to for multiple Code, Health, Safety, Labor and Fire Code Violations... I'd screw EVERYONE all at the same time...THEN Sue my Boss for the Danger he deliberately put me in...

Story 1: Glad your mother liked the turtle candle OP. Coupon story: Amazing, a manager that didn't cave to a Karen. And she left without her food too. I hope she didn't treat the McDonald's employees too badly afterwards. Last story: I hope British Columbia's Worksafe was able to do something about the places that were accidents waiting to happen as well.
At least this 16-17 employee could read a coupon when clearly this adult woman couldn't read even after OP and the manager showed her multiple times where it said in red print dine in only and she still couldn't read it
I was hoping there would be more details about the court hearing, and possibly penalties for being a no-show to court, and potentially all of those delivery places getting their own hinds delivered to them for being unsafe..
Regarding the first story - I worked for a number of years for Ferndale, Michigan - the humble beginnings of the Dream Cruise. In the beginning, a guy by the name of Nelson House wanted a one day car show in order to raise funds to create and upkeep for a soccer field at one of the parks in the City. Obviously, a huge success and over the last 28 years this car show happens long M-1 from 8 Mile (Ferndale/Detroit border) to Pontiac where Woodward ends. While many, many, many people come down and enjoy it (millions I'm talking about) there are many who are residents who live off of Woodward who despise it and try to get the heck out of town for the weekend. As someone who use to work for Ferndale, I didn't care for it as we were encourage to volunteer our time for it on Saturday to help out. Even during the 2003 Blackout (for those who remember) the Cruise carried on. It's been a number of years and I stay far, far, far away from Woodward during the month of August because the cars and fans come out long before the third weekend of August. LOL.
Some of these crappy bosses just think that they're invisible and can't get into trouble. I think it hilarious when they open his or her mouths and shove their whole foot into it and knock themselves down a peg or too on the stupidity pole
The Woodward Dream Cruise. I always plan my vacation around it, to make sure I'm out of town. A friend of mine made bumper stickers for it and t-shirts (about 20 years ago) that read: "Nice car, sorry about your penis". 😂
Everyone loves the Dream Cruise unless you work on Woodward, live near Woodward, or have to go anywhere near Woodward during those days. I'm so glad I can avoid the Dream Gridlock.

Say what you will about the Chevy Cavalier, but the 1988 Chevy Cavalier Z24 5-speed manual transmission was for the money, a fast little V6! And it had those cool looking little indents on the rocker panels I mean it is an ATS car to remember! And a lot of people had them and you can't find them anymore because Unfortunately they weren't the best of cars the holdup and people literally gave them to their kids and they drove them into the effing ground the regular four door Cavalier just the regular one those were not nice but the z24s like I said I'm not saying they're the best car ever made but those little bees had some stupid behind them when you hit the gas they took off! LOL
