- Land Rover Mercedes and High end car prices are dropping as the car market comes back down. I bought a $124,000 Land Rover Range Rover for only $60,000 and here is how and why prices on super cars and luxury high end cars have come down as well. Is it time to buy again?

we have the same model, bought with 27k miles. Paid $37k. 2014 but after updating the head unit and ac panel, you wouldn't know it was an older model (even has a fully digital dash) The headlights being a little different are the only thing that gives it away from not being a 2022. It is the supercharged V8 extended wheel base. Back seat is HUGE! has been fantastic with car seats in the back. And lots of cargo space. Sticker was over $100k new, it has been our favorite vehicle we've owned. Not to mention it rides like a dream! I've heard they can be nightmares with high miles, but owning ours has been a dream
Range Rovers, love the white, they're beautiful machines, plush interiors, they drive really nice, they're dirt cheap for what you get ....but even a 10 foot pole connected to a 10 foot extension, I still wouldn't touch it. lol
because you couldnt afford one.
@@executiveinvestments "because you couldnt afford one.".
Unless it still has a couple of years of factory warranty, who would want to?
But even if it did have some type of warranty, keep in mind it cost $125K new, Two years later it's worth $50K and in 18 months time it will be worth $25K and will be close to being mechanically totaled ....where my ten foot pole?
btw it's incredible how you can precisely assess my financial situation based on just one post...you're very talented.
People are fools with their borrowing. Love when I hear about the losses. Fools pay for market adjustments.
Buying with emotion instead of logic. Modern Range Rovers are just status cars. If you want to get laid by a Gold Digger just rent that car. Then go buy a Toyota. lol
not everyone is broke like you. Shit you are a hater.
I have a strict rule when I go the auction, don't touch Land Rover and Jaguar....I call it a beautiful POS
He knows that. He buys everything for RUclips content.
Do I love range rovers? Yes!
Would I want to own one out of warranty? Hell no!
The Doug demuro range rover vid about the carmax extended warranty was a good example .
At least you sold the Rover before it broke.
Range Rovers are Never a good deal at any price.
I got your market adjustment right here
So this guy bought a Range Rover for $135,000 (including tax) and sold it less than two years later for $60K? Double wow! He should have just rented one and saved himself thousands of dollars. I would drive it until it fell apart...which would be about 3 or 4 years. *evil grin*
Haters gonna hate, keep doing what youre doing. I enjoy the informative narrative.
I will predict 45k from the auction.
Hey, don't ride without eye protection. You're in a buggy part of the country. One large buy could end your sight. BTW it's a law in most states.
Florida has been hard on Craig. He has aged significantly since the move! Flying Wheel Chair Wheels coming soon!
Father Time is coming after you, too, if it hasn't already.
@ Yep, I admit he’s coming for me too. I’m the same age as you Andrew (47).
@VanisleNSX Got 'em! 🤣
My name isn't Andrew.
it seems relevant to mention that people who buy $125000 and up new cars are not crying about depreciation when they desire a new car. there is a reason why high line cars sell at discount. The cards depreciates but the maintenance cost never do , plus the labor is more costly and requires more involvement to keep complicated luxury system working as the vehicle ages.
Funny thing, my wealthiest friends? Stupid generational wealth load, crazy- while they live in beautiful homes & all, vehicles? Toyota Highlanders, just 2...
Why do people act like they can’t just say no, then talk about how much they lost on the trade! Baffling
That’s why most people ship this type of vehicle enclosed.
Apparently were back to "CRYING WHEELS". Craig may be the only guy to detail a vehicle and then ship it on an open truck 1000 miles away. El oh El
We’re
That's what I thought. 100,00 dollar car and you don't at least rap it in a hurricane?
He’s always concerned with the possible $100 savings while also wasting $1000 decisions simultaneously…..fun to watch!
@@rc70ysyawn 😮. English class
The only people crying is you. Always saying the same thing over and over again lmao. Come up with new material.
2021 hellcat durango $120k some paid $140k and now I see them for 69k with 15k miles 😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is facts 😭
What ever happened to delayed gratification? Pay 125k for a vehicle and sell at a loss only 2 years later? He needs a bigger vehicle than a Land Rover? A fool and his money are soon parted.
Yes You deaf? He has a family unlike you, that is growing. If you have 3 kids this rover is way too small. Thats why there are bigger SUV's on the market. DUhhh. This is a MID size SUV. Yeah a fool. You seem so upset about something you cant afford.
I like the fact that he says there is so much exiting cars (Lamborghini, etc) while pointing at minivans and panel vans! XD
Wow those are financial disasters. I'm keeping my 2000 Accord EX and 06 CVPI. Both were cheap and yeah it helps i can do my own repairs but even if I couldn't I'd be way way ahead.
If you want to drive a Range Rover every day, you need two Range Rovers.
"Here is how I caught a flaming, falling knife"
I remember when Flying Wheels was a channel that showed how to flip cars for profit. Now it's just about buying fancy cars and losing money. I hope things work out for Craig but this content just doesn't hit like it used to.
I literally bought it to resell
I bought a Land Rover Range Rover. 2 months later, oil burned out and engine seized. Never bought again
Getting an Aftermarket warranty may have saved you.
sounds pretty normal for LR/RR
@@Revoncheap totally would have. It had 100,000 and was a used car. Now I know why they sold it
@@olikat8 yep… never trying again
Love the Video! Thanks for the shoutout!
Thanks for the car.I really enjoyed it!
What happen to fixing cars and flipping. Now hes just playing with expensive cars
it's fast depreciating junk
Great video, at least this channel is transparent on buying and selling cars. Interesting to see how it turnout. Keep up the good work Craig. Even if people in the comments dont like range rovers, who cares, people own them and buy them. would imagine the insurance salesman selling it used it as a business loss. win , win if you can sell it for a profit. If not keep making these fun videos.
Find it interesting a guy would buy 124,000 for a new car. But lives in a townhouse, without a garage for his two cars.
Super interesting
you blind? He has a garage right there. And who TF puts a SUV in a garage?
Well, he said "Boston" (though the architecture makes me think it's not proper Boston). A studio apartment in Boston sells for a million dollars, so $134k car is not actually crazy, if he lives in a $2M condo.
@ what does his house have to do with his cars? People live in $5M homes and drive Toyotas.
@@executiveinvestments He's implying he doesn't spend his money wisely and his cars are worth more than his house.
P400 , fuji white? Thats nothing special. Its pretty much the bottom end free color and a 6cyl engine.these guys act like this thing came from the future
lol thanks and yep spot on
Craig addicted to losing money. Midlife crisis is wild
Lol you would think the hand carwash was some new invention the way he's talking. The UK have had these over 20yrs nothing new.
The seller in New Hampshire makes me laugh. Need a bigger vehicle for growing family. What's bigger than a Ranger rover? A school bus. Guy in driveway should of just said I am losing my ass money wise on this thing and I need it gone. He sure was taking the plates off real fast.
Wants a Lamborghini Urus... Which has an Audi motor in it...
Yea, retail sucks. Buyers are a pain in the ass.
You make it sound like this is the first time you have seen a carwash
My neighbor has exact same truck. He is the neighborhood drug dealer. Pills, ski and everything in between. Lol, Craig entered new realm of ownership class....
That guy must be a good insurance salesman to be able to absorb such a big loss on that Rover. Sweet ride but way outta my league
Likely debt up to his eyeballs and needed to bail - its all flash, the guy's was living in a duplex/condo/zero lot line unit
That blue Mercedes is an AMG GTS, not an SLS.
Just remember....Range Rover are made by Tata Motors of India......
Craig, you lost $40k on an Audi EV and you are worried about your wife by some $20 knick-knacks at the car wash? Maybe she should be the one going to the car auctions?
People with low-IQs like you don't realize he makes money off certain car videos.
You think he actually lost $40k. 😂
He's smarter than you.
How Not to Buy Cars
I'm not one for range rovers. But, I have to admit I do like that one! Looks really sporty!
I wouldn’t put 1k miles on a 29k mile Range Rover. You know that.
You could not pay me to waste money on a Land Rover. Biggest piles of crap on the road. Well ,when they are actually on the road and not broke down that is. LOL
Agree with you 1000%
Total POS ..
Disagree, mine have been totally reliable and great to own.
@@coltbrown7473 You got extremely lucky.
@@briankendall65 when have you owned one? Love when kids talk about shit they never owned. Can i say hater?
You said last month the car market was back?
On cheap stuff
Range Rover is more of a look at me type of suv because you definitely don't buy it for reliability lol.
the dude is clearly a show off, his range turd has more space than his house , properly he doesn't have a bed frame just a mattress on the floor
Yep and UHaul boxes for furniture, figured he was a 'realtor' until he said insurance - likely just drowning in debt
127k to 60k in two years?? How does this make sense financially??
It doesn't. People who buy them either have more money than they know what to do with are dumb or both.
I am guessing a business expense. So tax free $
@@mph5896 You do realize expenses reduce income right? Expenses mean less money for food, concerts, housing, etc.
@@DuffyGabi I understand how a business expense works. Do you? Fed, state, ssi both sides, Medicare. You are down to around 50% of gross
It never does. Never!
Thank you for sharing
Hilarious, Craig, you think the car market is on the upswing! 😂 Also, you get so glittery-eye at all the fancy cars in Florida, you’re going to get your a$$ handed to you when you try and sell them after you buy them! Lol 😂
I owned a 2004 Range Rover HSE for 7 years then sold it. As much as I loved it, I wouldn't buy another one, the maintnance & parts cost were very high. Only drive Escalades, Yukon and Tahoe now.
They have those car washes in Texas too
*Amazing video, thanks for the steady stream. I'm favoured, $450k Returns the Lord is my saviour in times of my need!!!*

That's exactly what I need. Does she address risk management?
Can’t deny I was hoping you would hit the yellow post. Seemed like a solution to the RR problem. Another is to never buy a garbage pile like that.
Wow, this was epic! Keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
@@FlyingWheels poor Craig, only bots like his videos.
That printed price sheet looked "home-made" - just saying!
love the color scheme on the range
Dude , You will lose money on this range rover, and not even close to breaking even.
But you do make some RUclips money, Assuming that’s your goal
I was like noo not crieg sounding like a consumer untill i heard its a ticking time bomb lol
This was one of the best episodes I've seen recently. Im genuinely curious what the RR will sell for
This is so much more fun Craig 👍🏻
Regarding the dealer markup. Your friend said, “There wasn’t anything you could do about it.” Yes there was, you don’t buy it. I was looking for a new 4Runner TRD Pro back then. I found one where the dealer wanted a $10k markup. I didn’t buy it. I ended up buying one from another dealer at MSRP.
I bought my 2022 Tahoe z71 w/6.2 new from the dealer and even though I ordered it, it sill had a 8000 add on. But same thing they were like if you don't take this allocation it will be gone in no time. I still have it luckily my wife loves it and were keeping it. I'm really glad for the most part these add on are going away.
why wouldnt you use an enclosed transport? lol
Cause he doesn't care about the paint. He took it to the car wash that scratches the shit out of it. Then they have the guys drying it with the same towels they cleaned the previous cars wheels
@ funny thing there are ZERO scratches on it from the wash. And show me where they used dirty towels to dry the car. Cool theory though. But you keep crying like an ignorant kid.
@@The_jason1Did that segment make you cry?
Let's be fair, Craig. The things your wife likes to buy are most likely less than a few hundred dollars. The things that you like to buy are in the THOUSANDS..... sometimes TENS OF THOUSANDS.
You walked past that bad ass burgundy firebird😮
Does Papa AL Go To FL, For The Winter ??
I wish
When did he move? He never once said he was moving.
Spending money on nonsense? 😂
Lives in a duplex buys $124000 vehicle?
Half
$1,000,000 my friend. Seems like you don’t know Boston.
Yup, I own multiple properties in Southern California, I am $$$$$$$. I would never buy a new Range Rover it is well known they lose value very fast and are expensive to fix. Two years old and lost 50%? that does not include taxes. Maybe I should look for a nice used car may be more unsmart people out there.
That townhouse/duplex is at least $650K… and it’s his monies.😮
@@thomasharris5151yes it is! And I’ll spend it how I want haha!
Whatever you paid for that RR you got ripped off.
Those car washes are such a rip off. And they are always too rough on tires and paint.
busting ass non stop for chump change in the Florida heat doesn't create the most motivated work environment.
not true at all. My SUV goes through the wash twice a week. Learn about shit.
Previous owner is cool.
@@Revoncheap i appreciate that! Thanks!!
Creig you losing money 💰 on you're extremely expensive refrigerator makes me happy
Never buy first hand!! Second hand well maintained! All my rovers are second hand, love them and haven’t lost $ when resale. What’s worse is the guys who paid 100-150k above sticker on a g wagon and now selling used for 130-150k…ouch. Also all my rovers are the 5.0sc, I won’t do the v6! The straight 6 are good aswell.
Craig Your thoughts on a shared dealer license been in business 40 years lots of auction market experience quoted 300 month an sell retail/wholesale advise
@$60K it's a beautiful (used) vehicle, just need that extended warranty.
I wouldn't buy a used car from Florida because of the risk of flood damage from Hurricanes. How to you determine that these cars are from flood areas
You mentioning “tchotchkes” makes me me immediately think of office space 😂😂😂
Where is the rust worse? NH or Fla?
Nh
8:16 just casually ignore the skyline in the shot and don't mention it!!
Yeah except a G wagon is at least 2 or 3 times more!
great stuff thanks
Oh yeah, its all going back to normal again! 😂
And that's how people that make good money stay poor. Buy a 124k car and lose 64k on it 2 years later.
Interesting video 📹
Glad you enjoyed it
Your channel is getting boring. It was much better when you were selling cars. Now not so much. You never told us how much you sold the Range Rover for.
Next video
He just doesent give a shit, as long as me makes money he's happy. He doesent realise we dont care about these videoes. Old style videoes where he sells and fixes cars is what we want. Instead he buys a bunch of junk and then cries he has too many projects. Crying wheels is what is should be called at this point
Wow, Craig...pot calling the kettle black. Your wife spends on nonsense? What have we been watching you do for a number of years? :)
" I like this. They are fast, they are fun!" - and it's broken again...and again. And again. And again!
perhaps he should pay down his mortgage before he takes a bath on a dog

The Land Rover isn’t a special LR it’s just an upgraded package nothing w motor
Pedal that yellow Ferrari the 360s are headaches. Try to find a California they are starting to come to reasonable levels in price and aren’t as difficult to work on. Definitely not as flashy but still fun
What if they had Auto accessories in that car wash store. Steering wheel covers, sample rims and tires. Floor matt covering for OEM floor matts. Catalogues with aftermarket and OEM parts. After market bumpers. New types of auto interior cleaning items. Lucky I don't own that place I would have a women's and a men's waiting area
Good!
