    Nicely done. I think out here in the USA West with pretty long hauls between towns, the 62Kw pack is minimum. I wished they had an 80 Kw pack. The 62 has 3-cells in parallel architecture wich reduces stress on the cells as an average, so overheating is reduced, and that is important.

    Nice review. I picked up a used 2019 model a few weeks ago with only 7,000 miles on it. Lease turn in from New York city. I guess with all the public transportation in that area low miles on cars is pretty common. Mine has the top of the line option package (SL here in the US) with the larger battery (Plus, isi what they call the larger battery option here). Loving the car.

      The reason you don't hear that as much in ICE cars is because the engine and exhaust noise drowns that out. Decibel wise, EV cars are quieter. You could do like Tesla and have tires with sound deadening material in the wheels. You could also buy sound deadening material for the body.

    I have a 5 1/2 years old 30 kwhr leaf.
    It started out with a range of 107 miles. It now has a range of 78 miles diminishing quite fast with 2 out of 12 battery bars lost, it hasn't been rapid charged much at all, with most of the charging done at home on a 7 kw fast charger. This is in temperate UK, where there are hardly any temperature extremes. The Nissan leaf is a car with a serious flaw and that is the lack of a water cooled battery temperature management system. Instead it just uses natural convection to allow the battery to cool very slowly. This system is completely ineffective in reducing battery degradation. I for one will never buy any Nissan leaf ever again. The 40 kwhr and the 60 kwhr are also of the same poor design.

    As for me, there's one major drawback - no battery temperature management whatsoever, causing rapidgate and faster battery degradation when frequently used for long journeys. One minor one - no tow hook, so one can't even transport bicycles on a platform. But as an all-rounder, a daily commuter car it's a brilliant option, and a cheap one, too.

      I have a 2016 30 kwhr Nissan leaf. It has reduced from 107 miles when new to around 78 miles now with the loss of 2 out of 12 battery bars. Not good ! No thermal active battery management system to prevent rapid battery degradation.

      @stevezodiac491 2 года назад

      Whatever it starts out with it will quickly lose it's range through battery degradation. My Nissan leaf has already lost 2 battery bars out of 12 after 5 1/2 years because of a lack of active battery thermal management. A 30 kwhr, it started out with 107, it now is around 78 miles.

    7kw charging point 5 & 1/2 hours makes it completely impractical. Holiday on Exmoor would be unusable. The tech is going to have to improve in charging times & the infrastructure particularly in Devon & Cornwall. 50kw charging points outside of the motorway network are not that common yet.
