I love your RUclips channel. Thank you for sharing your experience working while travelling. If you ever come to mandurah Western Australia. You are more than welcome to stop and park in our property 😊
Hi Hayley & Brad that was an excellent episode. I retired around 20 months ago, so I am a lot older than you, but currently waiting for a new tow vehicle and planning the big trip for next year to head over to the east, pulling the caravan across for the first time. Watching your videos really helps to what we have to look forward. Keep up the great work, you are such a down to earth couple. Cheers Peter
G’day Peter, and congratulations on the retirement mate 🙌🏼 I bet you’re itching to get the new rig and get on the road!! Happy planning and safe travels. Thanks for tuning in mate 😁
The comment below beat me. Nice to see down to earth, unpretentious Aussies. "SO cold...!" at 4:48 (with both jackets unbuttoned/unzipped) 🤣 From Melbourne, 🇦🇺🦘 PS Just finished watching this video, my first. Now subscribed!
Hi Hayley and Brad, I have watched a few of your videos but this one explains how life is while travelling. I think you are such an amazing, enthusiastic, energetic young and sensible couple. You are so much lovely together and you are both creating such a beautiful experience. Brad you know so much about the technical side of maintaining your equipment. I am sending you greetings and love from the Sunshine Coast.
Awesome video , you are both such down to earth people . Very refreshing to watch someone who is not just trying to sell you something !! Looking forward to hitting the road in a couple of years time for a two year lap . Thanks .
Hey Ray, appreciate the kind words and that’s what we aim for! I bet you guys are looking forward to that. In the meantime, keep the notepad out and will show you some great spots to hit on your way around 🤙🏼😎
Thank you guys so much for this video, perfect timing. Ive got the 79 and an off rd van but have been a bit hesitant to go. I have my own gardening business on the Gold Coast and at the young age of 60 is pretty daunting leaving after not ever being out of work. The only thing I have to take into mind is my dog. But your video has given me a boot up the arse, so thank you. Im also a truck driver🙂
G’day David. Your almost ready to go then!! Plenty of people are out here travelling with their pups, it’s really just National Parks that won’t allow dogs. Take care mate & hopefully catch you on the road soon 🤙🏼😁

This is the first of your videos I’ve seen, and I’m now subscribed. So good to see people working the old fashioned way, we can’t all get by on online work. We’ve been full time on the road for 14 months now, did three months work in kalgooorlie and now parked up in port Augusta doing a 2 month house sit so I’m about to start working here too. Such an awesome way to see the country. Now to go down the rabbit hole of the rest of your videos.
Appreciate the note & agree! To be honest I think the work/travel lifestyle is much less stressful and enjoyable than trying to get by making a living on social media (having a foot in both camps) That's why I think for us its important to find a nice balance between them both 😊 Take care & thanks once again for the lovely comment 🙏
The biggest mistake You Tubers make is trying to make their episodes like a TV program, I like to watch anyone just as they are, It's more interesting, mistakes and all , I left my property 2008, Travelling and working , best thing I ever did, in my home built caravan, 100 series, I've met so many fellow travelers, You are right , jobs are not hard to find, Now semi retired, just doing volunteer care driving, Happy safe travels, enjoyed episode, information, Cheers Bevan from Sapphire Central Qld 🤠❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺
Great to hear from you Bevan & hope you're keeping well mate! Patsy said the same thing to me and which is what lead to the creation of this video. It's great to have another perspective sometimes. Im stoked that we now have this record of this time in our lives. The trusty 100 series, the best LC ever made? Safe travels & catch you on the road 🤠🤙
Hi Brad and Patsy, I love watching your videos, you guy's are refreshing compared to some others on RUclips. You always give out really good info on area's you are visiting, Thank you for being down to earth people and I think you are a lovely couple, Thank you for providing me some entertainment as I am laid up at the moment recovering from a operation. The working while travelling video was an eye opener especially as to how much work is out there for those who want to do it. Thanks again, travel safe, Regards Paul D
G’day Paul. I’m glad we can provide some entertainment while you recover from the op! Appreciate the kind words mate and glad the videos and travels are being received how we intend to portray them 😊🙏🏼 Wishing you a speedy recovery. All the best from Patsy and Brad 🤙🏼
Hey legends ! Super interested in your coffee comments 😊. Am a total coffee snob from Melbourne & wondering how your making coffee ? Have you brought a machine with you ? Do you use a French press or something else? Loving your videos ❤
Excellent video! Happy travels. We did 6 weeks driving machinery for an almond harvest in Feb this year. Stayed on farm with power and water provided and free diesel too. Definitely makes saving a lot easier. Not in a town to spend money either which we always find we spend too much money when we stop in large towns too 🤪 happy travels. It’s great getting the renewed excitement to hit the road again too. Totally relate.
That’s awesome & exactly what we will be looking at for next time 🙌🏼😄 Absolutely, I feel like we have a new lease life after that stint! Safe travels guys take care 😊
Hi Y'all. Not looking at doing the big trip anytime soon but loving your informative and real-life nature of videos. Only found your YT channel a couple of weeks ago and now I have to go back to the start to see it all. Cheers. BTW, my wife and I are living in a caravan but it's not going anywhere. Took 2 days and 3 gate posts to get it in situ. Besides, we have a dog, cat and 2 horses as well.
Hey Dave & appreciate the kind words mate. Thanks for stepping back and checking out some of our other vids too 😊 Haha sounds like she’s pretty well stationary then 😅 Enjoy the farm life guys!! Come along with us now and then to get your travel fix 🤙🏼
I just watched my first episode of your channel and found it very inspiring. I returned to work 14 months ago after a 6 month van trip whilst on paid long service leave. Over the past month I have been deliberating whether I could afford to semi retire and hit the road long term, hopefully gaining some work along the way. Your video has definitely given me much more confident to continue with my dream of seeing this wonderful country of ours. Safe travels.
Great to see you guys are going well and getting plenty of work. I did what you guys are doing for four years traveling around Australia, I am a chef so finding work was always pretty easy and I met many life long friends. I think the biggest difference was Caravan parks were much cheaper 10 years ago but yes you always spend way more than you think you will. I was lucky enough to go right round the country 2 and half times and finally settled in Brissy but I am ready to go travellin' again. Stay safe and most importantly have fun...
Hey Brady! Going well & trust you are too mate. It’s a great experience & hope our vids bring back some memories of your time travelling around. I think once you get the bug it’s hard to shake & can understand the itchy feet!!
We have been enjoying your wonderful Aus trip videos since you first set off. This is a great sitrep/update video. Your honest approach is not only refreshing but more informative as a result. We spent a month in Aus in Feb from the UK and can see you need to spend as a much time as you can in each place, otherwise it just becomes a bit of blur.
Hi Tutti and thanks for the kind words 🥰 that’s awesome and hope you enjoyed your time here. You’re absolutely right. There is so much to see and do. I’m not quite sure you could do it in a Lifetime!!
Appreciate the video. We left Darwin to travel in our van and stopped in Gladston to help out a the local smelter for 6 months. 2 yrs later we called it and hit the road again and heading for SA and south WA to stop for some work. When we stop it gives a sense of community getting to know the different people and feel of the place. It's cold but after 30 yrs without a winter we're looking forward to it.
South West Haulage, old #2. She's carted a lot of logs over the years. Great video too, and I too have been caught with not knowing to buy the aquarium tickets from the start of the jetty. Lol
G’day Darren, and thanks for tuning in mate! Absolutely and with 1.5 million on the clock she is still going strong 💪🏼 Yep, we learnt the hard way and will definitely not make the same mistake when we head back there 😅🤣
Keep up the good work, my wife and I really enjoy your authenticity, we worked around Australia for 3 years in 1973 from Sydney settled in Perth and can agree that we had the time of our lives, now retired we have continued to travel for the last 10 years with our caravan averaging 4 trips per year up to 3 months at a time going East or local WA. Just clocked 150,000 klm of caravan travel and still enjoying it, getting motivated by your travels to revisit all the lovely places you are going to. Well done regards Tony
That’s really kind Tony! We are very grateful for you guys to be tuning in 😁 What an experience to look back on & to be able to continue in some form for the last 10 years is what we plan on doing too 🙌🏼 Perth is absolutely lovely and we enjoyed a brief visit there last week, safe travels & will see you on the road or in the next one 😎
Hi new subscriber from Queensland i worked and traveled when i was younger i got to meet nice people along the way i recommend anyone who wants to work and travel definitely do it while you are younger its a great experience i enjoyed it would i do it again absolutely
Thanks for the vid, we are definitely considering working as we travel. We have talked about getting a truck license before leaving and after watching you guys, I think we will
Great episode. Hope you are enjoying the Ozglide. We had a very similar set up to yours and the Ozglide improved both the ride for us and how the van travelled.
We have to say we were really happy with it on the bitumen and dirt roads, but have just taken them van down a soft corrugated sand road with big deep bog holes and was amazed how well the van behaved going through the rough stuff. Really come into its own here and keen to put together the review soon 😊

So good, nearly skipped watching but am so pleased I did. As others have said it's refreshing watching a travel vid that's not pushing sales. As another teacher its helped to see it can be done. Wouldn't have put you as a truck driver Brad, but a great skill set to pick up work on the road. Go hard or go home :) Enjoy the next phase of travelling.
Great video! It's all about work life balance! A bit of work for a while leads to a better life on your next adventure! I think you said it also makes you appreciate how good life is! Thanks safe Travels
Absolutely Scott. We feel reinvigorated with our energy and appreciation for what we are doing after stopping for work. Definitely need a reset like that every once in awhile. Hope all is well. Take care. B&H 🙏🏼
Hi Hayley & Brad! Great episode but just like to add I live in Bunbury and we never have a problem with crime and would hate to have your subaribers think it is a bad place to visit. I guarantee you get up at 3.30am in a lot of places you’ll find undesirable people around. Wait until you hit some of the NW towns people will say there’s a problem. A lot of crime is opportunistic with people leaving their stuff out or doors unlocked. Having said all that really enjoyed the summary and hope overall you enjoyed your time in Bunbury and thanks for putting the video together.
Hi Ashley & thanks for tuning in! We did enjoy our days off there in Bunbury! Apologies if it come off like we were bagging it, we were just sharing our experience. Thanks for leaving a comment & all the best B&H 😊
@@our.australia.trip. Fair enough...you can only shoot it as you see it. We look forward to seeing more of your adventures and if we are up north and see you guys I'll say a G'day
Hey David, no we aren’t, reason being we don’t want to be the baseline for what viewers think they can earn in a 3 month stint. It will differ greatly depending on individual circumstances (location/setup/qualifications/personal expenses etc.)
Great video guys. If you can get there, Kennedy Ranges are beautiful. They are inland from Carnarvon. We are heading to Shark Bay next week so maybe will bump into you.
Hey Brad awesome video mate, love the footage of SWH and what you did while working for me ha ha, got my van and did first trip to sharks bay and back down the coast to Manjimup. Looking at full time travel in our van next year so who knows I might see ya out there, now I’m subscribed to you guys I look forward to seeing your travels. Take care guys and keep having fun. Brendan
Thanks Brendan & hope everything is well down there!! That's awesome & Shark Bay would be a great spot to break her in 🙌 Yes certainly a good chance of that, still plenty to see for us. Safe travels & all the best!
Good on you guys, great to see you enjoying life. We are a lot older than you both but would work if we had to and it is good to see how easy it is to get work
Just started watching you guys from other you tubers you have collaborate with. I live in mandurah wa and have heard now more and more about that one particular caravan park in Bunbury. I was just about to book for a soccer tournament down there. We usually stay at Bunbury Village
We (lippyz adventures) are currently living in our van and are about to finally take off in about a month for full time travel this video was an awesome watch as it shows exactly how we are planning to travel keep up the great work
That’s awesome guys! It is crunch time and can imagine how hectic life is for you guys right now in preparation for the trip! Glad you got some insight, thanks for watching and safe travels😄🤙🏼
I really enjoyed this video, so nice to see another perspective of living on the road. Love watching you guys, no matter what you are getting up to. Excited for you to head north: there are some amazing things waiting for you. Maybe I’ll even catch a glimpse of you in Broome in August if you’ve made it to there by then 🤷♀️
Thanks for watching as always Robyn 🥰 We have just started to experience what this state is all about & are LOVING it. Weather has turned quite foul for a few days though so we are getting the whole experience 🤣😅 Yes I think it is going to be a real possibility & are looking forward to catching up 🍷🍻
Thanks for another great episode. I think travelling and working has sparked a lot of interest. The Kenworth you call old is substantially better than say an old Foden from the sixties with dual gearboxes, try shifting two boxes at once. You make the18 speed road ranger look easy and even fun. I did not much like the 18 speed road rangers, particularly with a single plate clutch but 600 or so hp and a decent strong clutch may make the difference. I'm not a driver by any stretch of the imagination but have had to take a D8 to the bush on a couple of occassions when I was merely a child and then driving a dual axle body truck for late evening deliveries to a nearby town. Bunbury I remember as a nice little place, we built, installed and commissioned a CIP system for the road train tankers delivering into the dairy factory at Brunswick Junction.
Hi Roberts, and thanks for checking in again! No complaints with the old KW, I loved it. The suspension seat was a nice touch, the old girl had 6rod suspension as oppose to airbags. I would love to have a crack at twin stick, seen plenty of vids online of those old trucks.. how cool 💪🏼 That’s awesome, did you live over here for a bit? Or was this out of Brisbane? Saw plenty of milk trucks out and about, must’ve been a sizeable system those road trains must be able to carry nearly 60t of milk!!
@@our.australia.trip. Born in Brisbane but grew up in far northern NSW. I spent a lot of time in the bush near the border. I have a lot of experience in WA southern region working over there for many years approximately one week each month in food and beverage engineering, travelling across from Brisbane and Sydney.
Loved the video Hayley (Patsie) and Brad. You are both truly nice people. We were offered work also when over there in 2007. Could have managed a Caravan Park on the "Holy Mile" near Bussleton. Thanks from Graham and Kath in Fredo.
hi well done for working ..if it keeps the dream alive then to bad ..Question how much truck / road ranger experience did you have to rock up to a transport company and get the jig... I've got a HC licence but it's been a while since I've driven trailers...and 18 speed.
I didn’t have any experience, other than sitting in the passenger seat from a young age 😂 A lot of these company’s have driver trainers so they won’t just throw you in a truck without signing you off first. They will get you where you need to be before sending you on your own 🤙🏼
Truck license is a great one with minimal outlay. There is a ton of seasonal farm work about too if you dont mind a bit of manual labour 😀 Heaps of info on FB groups around the farm work 😊
Such a great video and information you're sharing. Could you please link the website/app that you're using to find the teaching relief work? Enjoy you're adventure.
Hey guys, loving your videos, especially this one, great information about your work days, thanks for sharing this. We are planning on picking up work on the road too, although we have a small online business my husband is very keen to learn more about truck driving, he loved your insight into the industry. Although he has a heavy rigid license he would be very keen to know how you got your truck driving license? TIA. Happy travels, Beth and Greg
Hi Beth, and thanks for watching! I’m glad you guys found some value in this video and got some insights. I had my heavy rigid license to then upgraded a few years before we left to a heavy combination license. I think the hardest part is finding an employer willing to hire you with no prior experience but in saying that there are plenty of companies out there that want people with lower class licenses, and are willing to pay for them to up skill if you can pay them back with time 😊 Hope this helps, and all the best 🙏🏼
I found this video fascinating! Great insights and information. How were you changing gears in the truck without using the clutch on most of the shifts??!!! Magic!! Haha. Awesome work guys keep it going.
Hey Terry! Stoked to hear you enjoy vid mate 😁 most prime movers have different gearboxes to cars and utes. They have what you call a constant mesh gearbox (no synchros) so as long as the road speed matches the engine rpm, you can float through the gears without using the clutch! Thanks for watching and see you in the next one 🤙🏼
Great video guys! Just a quick question not sure if it's already been asked, have you been able to teach in other states? How did you manage with different accreditation?
Hey Cassie, there is a bit of paperwork to do, just head to the state you want to teach in dept of education website and follow along from there. Allow about a month to complete paperwork, get approvals & accreditations 😊
Good vid. We live and work on the road also, (not doing the "direct marketing scam", doing real work like you guys.. We stay in an area and work and explore that area for about 3 months, then move on to another area. I am a chippy so get work everywhere, and my wife has a job she can do remotely with a laptop.. PS Mchitch is back in business
It’s a great way to travel, we enjoy stopping and working on our way round. Makes you appreciate the travels more. I suspect the people that are pushing that crap are in a much worse financial position than they lead on… Yes it’s quite funny that, repopulating once cleared farm land for growing trees is a great way to soak up some carbon!!
Let us know how your new hitch goes Brad. We also run the 4.5 McHitch auto coupler and am worried if something goes wrong with it we won't be able to sorce stock readily
Will do, and that was my concern as well. So far, no issues with the DO 35 & finding it just as easy to use as the mchitch. Will keep you updated and mention it in the Ozglide review video. 🤙🏼
Great video guys, I’m lucky to retire at the end of the year but it’s still interesting to see how you young ones manage to travel and work. By the way, what’s that with Patsy?
G’day Hans, I bet you’re looking forward to retirement mate! It’s definitely not a conventional way life, but I try to make it work! Patsy is a nickname Hayley was given when she was just a youngen, I think we discuss the origin in our Nullarbor video 😊
Hey & thanks for watching! The ute is with racq & we have got the top roadside assistance option with that. Caravan is with CIL. The insurance bill is pretty exxy and one of our main expenses but with the amount of time we spend on the road there is peace of mind everything is covered in pretty much any situation 👍🏼
@@our.australia.trip. Cheers mate for the fast reply and details! Another question sorry: when you are going down some of the tracks for e.g. the tele track is your vehicle insured or what is the go with that?
Good on you guys, great to see you enjoying life. We are a lot older than you both but would work if we had to and it is good to see how easy it is to get work

We are very grateful for you guys to be tuning in 😁
What an experience to look back on & to be able to continue in some form for the last 10 years is what we plan on doing too 🙌🏼
Perth is absolutely lovely and we enjoyed a brief visit there last week, safe travels & will see you on the road or in the next one 😎
I like you changed gears all the different ways.... there was bound to be some know it all and tell you "thats not how you do it" lol
😂 there are plenty of experts on the internet, most of them have never been bogged before !!
I live in Bunbury. Didnt realise the crime was so bad at caravan parks 😂
Thanks for the tips about working 😊
Haha definitely saw some questionable things on our stay! Glad you enjoyed & thanks for binging the episodes 😁
Thank you , very interesting
Glad you enjoyed Rex. Cheers
Great video.
Thanks John, Appreciate the comment as well 🤙😎
Great Info....
Cheers Mark!
Hi new subscriber from Queensland i worked and traveled when i was younger i got to meet nice people along the way i recommend anyone who wants to work and travel definitely do it while you are younger its a great experience i enjoyed it would i do it again absolutely
Awesome video guys.
Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed! 😁
awesome vlog..., keeping it real....
Appreciate the comment Graeme! 😎
Thanks for the vid, we are definitely considering working as we travel. We have talked about getting a truck license before leaving and after watching you guys, I think we will
It’s a great ticket to have, and is work available just about anywhere 🙌🏼
Great episode. Hope you are enjoying the Ozglide. We had a very similar set up to yours and the Ozglide improved both the ride for us and how the van travelled.
We have to say we were really happy with it on the bitumen and dirt roads, but have just taken them van down a soft corrugated sand road with big deep bog holes and was amazed how well the van behaved going through the rough stuff. Really come into its own here and keen to put together the review soon 😊

Great video. What a great way to earn holiday coin carting the woodchip. 👍🏻👍🏻
Cheers! It was a good job, made us appreciate life on the road as well stopping for work.
Thanks for tuning in Leanne! This episode was much different to our others so we are please you enjoyed 😊
Take care, Hayley & Brad
Very informative video guys for folk that want to live our lifestyle. Well done
Hey Steve, nice to know as seasoned veterans of the work and travel lifestyle that you enjoyed the video!
🙏🏼😎
Well done guys. Good to see you again. Looking forward to your trip north. Stay safe.
Thanks for the comment David! We are super excited for the months ahead too 😎😄
Great video!
We look forward to seeing more of your adventures and if we are up north and see you guys I'll say a G'day
Are you going to release how much you were able to top up the travel kitty after all expenses?
Hey David, no we aren’t, reason being we don’t want to be the baseline for what viewers think they can earn in a 3 month stint. It will differ greatly depending on individual circumstances (location/setup/qualifications/personal expenses etc.)
Great video guys. If you can get there, Kennedy Ranges are beautiful. They are inland from Carnarvon. We are heading to Shark Bay next week so maybe will bump into you.
Thanks for the tip Rob! If we’ve got the time we will definitely go out for a look. Keep an eye out mate you never know where we will be!!
We are a lot older than you both but would work if we had to and it is good to see how easy it is to get work
Plenty of variety for young & old Dave!
Great episode guys!
Thanks Ben, great to hear you enjoyed 😁
A great video, Thanks for the detail of your life. We are fairly new subscribers and love your enthusiasm and we are just catching up. Take care
Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to tune in guys. Welcome 🤗
Brilliant video guys 😊 really interesting yarn and nice to see some trucking action !
Cheers Wayne glad you enjoyed mate 😎
Love your work
Thank you! Cheers!
Just started watching you guys from other you tubers you have collaborate with.
I live in mandurah wa and have heard now more and more about that one particular caravan park in Bunbury. I was just about to book for a soccer tournament down there. We usually stay at Bunbury Village
Great video guys, really enjoyed it.
Thanks for tuning in Laurie 😊
Great video guys. Lots of useful information, thanks. Looking forward to following your travels again 😊
Hi Klara, hope you got something from the rambling 🤣
We are stoked to be getting back into it! 😁
Thanks for sharing guys. Loving your vids 👍
Cheers guys 😎🤙🏼
Excellent content guys keep up the good work👍
Cheers Sean, thanks for tuning in 🤙🏼🙏🏼
Thanks for the video guys, good insight. Cheers Pm
Thanks Pete 🤙🏼
Hey guys! thanks for the vid this week. Great insight on how to find the right balance between content creation and working on the road!
No worries, and thank you for watching. There is a fine line to toe between work and play and I think we might just be figuring it out 🙌🏼😁
We (lippyz adventures) are currently living in our van and are about to finally take off in about a month for full time travel this video was an awesome watch as it shows exactly how we are planning to travel
keep up the great work
That’s awesome guys! It is crunch time and can imagine how hectic life is for you guys right now in preparation for the trip! Glad you got some insight, thanks for watching and safe travels😄🤙🏼
Great video guys. Really well done.😊 Luck Bay along the Port Gregory/ Kalbarri road is a great stop for a couple of days and don't forget Shark Bay.
Thank you for the tips & really appreciate the kind words guys 🥰😄
Great video, looking forward to your northern adventures
Thanks Lesley, we look forward to them too & creating some awesome movies 😁
Great episode Hayley and Brad! Thanks for the helpful info. Enjoy resuming your travels. Looking forward to seeing where you go from here. 😁🤩
Hi Therese, and thank you for the comment! We are loving life back on the road and can’t wait to share it with you😄🥳
Great info. Loved it. Enjoy your travels
Thanks Paul for the message and all the best mate 🙏🏼
I really enjoyed this video, so nice to see another perspective of living on the road. Love watching you guys, no matter what you are getting up to. Excited for you to head north: there are some amazing things waiting for you. Maybe I’ll even catch a glimpse of you in Broome in August if you’ve made it to there by then 🤷♀️
Thanks for watching as always Robyn 🥰
We have just started to experience what this state is all about & are LOVING it. Weather has turned quite foul for a few days though so we are getting the whole experience 🤣😅
Yes I think it is going to be a real possibility & are looking forward to catching up 🍷🍻
Thanks for another great episode.
I would love to have a crack at twin stick, seen plenty of vids online of those old trucks.. how cool 💪🏼
That’s awesome, did you live over here for a bit? Or was this out of Brisbane?
Saw plenty of milk trucks out and about, must’ve been a sizeable system those road trains must be able to carry nearly 60t of milk!!
@@our.australia.trip. Born in Brisbane but grew up in far northern NSW. I spent a lot of time in the bush near the border. I have a lot of experience in WA southern region working over there for many years approximately one week each month in food and beverage engineering, travelling across from Brisbane and Sydney.
Great video guys, great QA session
Thanks Greg, glad you enjoyed!
Also thank you for being a long term subscriber! We really appreciate it 😁🙏
Great insight. Fantastic info, and nice to learn a little more about life on the road. Well done. Cheers, dd
Thanks Dave. Glad you enjoyed 😊Hope you had a good weekend & will catch you in the next one.🤙🏼
Loved the video Hayley (Patsie) and Brad. You are both truly nice people. We were offered work also when over there in 2007. Could have managed a Caravan Park on the "Holy Mile" near Bussleton. Thanks from Graham and Kath in Fredo.
Hey guys, and thanks for watching 😊 Busselton is such a beautiful place and we can’t wait to get back there. All the best, B&H
hi
well done for working ..if it keeps the dream alive then to bad ..Question how much truck / road ranger experience did you have to rock up to a transport company and get the jig... I've got a HC licence but it's been a while since I've driven trailers...and 18 speed.
I didn’t have any experience, other than sitting in the passenger seat from a young age 😂
A lot of these company’s have driver trainers so they won’t just throw you in a truck without signing you off first. They will get you where you need to be before sending you on your own 🤙🏼
Arrh margaret river, you’re in our area, it’s the best.
It sure is! We love it down there 😍
Bit late to watch this one, but great video guys!
Thanks for watching!
Hi what is a good skill set to have for getting work when traveling? Great video as usual 😁
Thanks Tam, I’ll get Hayley to pop it in the description now 👍🏼
Good
We think so too 😎
Hey guys, loving your videos, especially this one, great information about your work days, thanks for sharing this.
I think the hardest part is finding an employer willing to hire you with no prior experience but in saying that there are plenty of companies out there that want people with lower class licenses, and are willing to pay for them to up skill if you can pay them back with time 😊
Hope this helps, and all the best 🙏🏼
PS Mchitch is back in business
oh and to think people are saving the world by using less paper. actually they are saving it by using more
It’s a great way to travel, we enjoy stopping and working on our way round. Makes you appreciate the travels more. I suspect the people that are pushing that crap are in a much worse financial position than they lead on…
Yes it’s quite funny that, repopulating once cleared farm land for growing trees is a great way to soak up some carbon!!
Love your videos ! Did you have any experience as a truck driver before going for the job? Apart from getting your license.
Thanks Adam! I had little bit of rigid experience but no real semi trailer or road ranger experience which I think is the hardest to get 😀
Hey guys love the vids! Quick question! What type of insurance did you guys get for your aus trip?
Hey & thanks for watching!
The ute is with racq & we have got the top roadside assistance option with that.
Caravan is with CIL.
The insurance bill is pretty exxy and one of our main expenses but with the amount of time we spend on the road there is peace of mind everything is covered in pretty much any situation 👍🏼
@@our.australia.trip. Cheers mate for the fast reply and details! Another question sorry: when you are going down some of the tracks for e.g. the tele track is your vehicle insured or what is the go with that?
Have you looked into house sitting for a few months while working? Free place to stay
Yes we did a few in QLD but after taking care of people’s pets that were not trained was quite exhausting 😅😅
@@our.australia.trip. oo interesting. What was hard about it?
Good on you guys, great to see you enjoying life. We are a lot older than you both but would work if we had to and it is good to see how easy it is to get work
