Listening to this song I wish their was a song for the First Minnesota. There were so many heroes at Gettysburg, so many gallant men who died to save the Union.
Hey may you sing "The diggers' song" please? Gerrard Winstanley, you may be gone but you will be forever remembered. "You noble Diggers all stand up now, stand up now"
It's a bit strange to hear my own home state as the focus of a song (and one that fits my own musical tastes at that). Never thought I'd hear another one about it after we left the 4th grade and stopped singing the 16 counties song.
There’s a memorial to Joshua Chamberlain in my city. His saber is also in the historical society.
New Brunswick?

It's in Bangor at the GAR museum. I had the pleasure of seeing Chamberlain's sword this past summer.

May not be from maine but I am from New England and this song makes me feel so happy to be from the North East
"Stand fast, ye boys of Maine."
From the shadow of Katahdin in the North Woods of Maine, thank you.

I've found one on RUclips, but it's upbeat. Dosen't have an excellent gritty vibe like this one
You may not write your own songs, but you're my favorite musician. Can't thank you enough for all the good music you've made all these years 🏆🏆

As a descendant of Diggers and Roundheads I appreciate you making this request.
Are you planning to do Hard Times Come Again No More?
