Nice vid! I’m doing the exact same installation on my new Compass. Drilling holes is always kinda scary. One question, the manual says to drill a 1 3/8” hole, not 1 1/2”. Have you tried the 1 3/8 “ approach and found it too tight?
The bit is called a forster bit. My favorite for making holes in plastic. (IT makes good shavings for filling small screw holes) Pssst... look at the camera lense not the screen 😅
"triple shot is different" It's not even compatible with the default kit. You got to order a adapter plate, which i honestly wouldn't recommend a triple shot on Compass, the adapter plate provides zero protection. Unlike the retractable guardian plates on the outbacks or PA's. Edit - Also forgot to point out that hobie recommends installing the Transducer cable port on the firewall not the floor under the seat at the scupper (Its stated in the manual). They used to have a spot molded in for it under the seat with the old design (old mount plugs were also a lot tougher then the new ones), but placing there with the new design can cause stress issues from flexing.
Good job guys 👍🏼👊🏼💪🏼
Looks good man. 👌🏻
Your assistant though... 👌
y not put through hull hole for fish finder closer to the unit? now u got longer wires running to it and in way of track mount behind it

It's actually a "forstNer" bit. These are bits that every fine woodworker has in his shop.
Part 2?
