What do you think about this new color? Are you a fan? ☺️ Here’s an affiliate link to the products I used on this flip: urlgeni.us/amzn/DixieDeadSalmon
I am a lover of all things pink! However, the hot pink was not it on these! I love the color you chose with just the slight undertone of pale pink, and the drawer liners were beautiful. One hundred percent improved!
Oh, I love what you did with the nightstands! But I gotta say, it’s unfortunate nite stands were in such sad shape prior to painting because I loved the hot pink too! 😜 The beige is much, much more sellable. I just love seeing items saved from landfills. I’ve always believed in recycling and the older I get the more I appreciate young women like you, who give older furniture a second life!
This is Lorraine from Corning New York you did an excellent job on the hot pink stance they look beautiful they were a mess now you turn them into something great that is so nice maybe you could get more stuff and redo it over and sell it just a thought you are a wonderful person and a blessed person keep the videos coming I hope you have a Merry Christmas and 2024 and a Happy New Year and 2024 be blessed be happy be safe be well and be merry
Love the change in color. Whoever you got it from, did "the best to their ability". However, it was kinda a disaster, cause it really wasn't properly repaired before the painting. Which put you at a disadvantage on what you could do for your roi. You did a fabulous job as always, this color is sooooo much better❤❤😅😅
Yeah, I didn’t look them over close enough. It’s always a little awkward when you’re right there with the seller. 😬 I have passed on pieces, but since this had a maker’s mark I thought I’d be good. Once I saw all the damage though 😩
Wow! These pieces look great! I give you so much credit for all of the work you did to make them refinishable in the future showed great respect for the furniture. I appreciate you and your work! I also love to see your various techniques on the different repairs - that is so helpful to me as I attempt to repair old beaten antiques I’ve inherited. I love the color you chose, although salmon in the name gave me a start after all of the hot pink mess! 😂
Thanks!! It’s always a delicate balance in refinishing and also being practically minded when it comes to the business side. I figured a more nuanced pink would tone down the hot pink and if they don’t sell I can always paint them black! 😅🖤
Amazing taking on a difficult project like this. I’d also say you’re quite brave to fix the drawers after you’ve painted. I’d have messed up my paint job if I’d done that. 😊
That looks like the set my grandma ,GG, had. It was a medium dark veneer with the same handles. She had the set for years. Then she must have donated or sold them and went for white rattan instead.
For me the hot pink wasnt the deal breaker. When u were trying to fit the drawer slide. That oricess made my stomach tighten up. That is the point i want to rat a piece of chocolate, cover my head w/ a blanket and whimper 'why did i ever start this?'
As much as I like pink, your finish was way better! When I let my imagination go and I think about what goes into the landfill in our county, let alone the entire planet, I shudder! Thanks for making furniture useful and beautiful again! $400 /pair?
Those are beautiful! I absolutely love that color. I have no idea what that kind of furniture sells for, but the way you repaired and painted, they look perfect to me. Top price! I love your videos Lisa, always something to learn. I need to become more proficient in drawer repairs. 🤦♀️. ❤❤❤
Thanks Lisa! I love the color too! I hope I find the right buyer. It’s a very popular color in the design world, so we’ll see. 🤞🏼 I hate drawer repairs 😑
Frankly, anything would have been an improvement on that hot pink! Having said that, you did a great job, as ever, and these are now in the fit into any home category. Well done. 👍
What a horrible name for a paint color, lol. I guess sometimes a bit of humor goes a long way. They are gorgeous. I think they will go well with Pantone's color of the year. I appreciate how you show us all the hard parts and the (what must be) aggravation! Thanks again for another wonderful video. Happy Holidays!
Right?! My friend said I should have gotten them for free. If I had taken the time to really look them over, I’m not sure I would have bought them. Oh well, lesson learned 😬

Aw, thanks Julee! Glad you like them!
What a gorgeous save!
Thanks so much!! 🤩🙌🏼
A lot of hard work & they now look great!
Indeed, they were rough. 😬 Thanks! 😊
Beautiful! And a great color choice as well!
Aw, thank you! 😊
Wow! Very beautiful I love how it turned out. From ugly duckling to a swan❤
Indeed! Thanks Cynthia!

I agree! I think the hot pink would have worked if she had fixed the substrate first. Oh well, they have a second life now. Thanks Judy! 😊🙌🏼
As always, you made them beautiful!! They need to change the name of that paint!

@ivylane-home oh for sure I get that, and the makers mark is worth something to someone. And who knows someone will maybe able to repair it
Beautiful colour! Fantastic work!❤
Great job, love the color.
They look fantastic!! I think that paint color was an excellent choice for the style.
Aw, thank you! I’m glad you like it 😊🙌🏼
You made them beautiful!

Thanks Diana! 😊🫶
Thank you for the info on your business decision on the extra hardware; helpful. Beautiful as usual 😊
You are so welcome! Glad it was helpful 😊🙌🏼
Beautiful color!!!!! I love them.
Me too!! Thanks, Sophia! 😊🙌🏼
Just beautiful, you have way more patience than me!!
Oh gosh, I had my moments of frustration 😑
Very classy.
I think so too! 😊
Lol WWKT? (what would Kacha think?) About that pink? Lol
These were cute as is, but as usual you did a gorgeous transformation.💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
I would never hav3 taken this pair on. Glad that you did, though. Lovely
I should not have 😑🫣😬 Thanks!
That was a hot mess! Love the color you chose.😍
Hot mess, indeed! Why do I do this to myself?!
@@ivylane-homeanything campaign is your kryptonite!😂 Although I guess you can’t say that with the brutalist nightstands.🤔😆
I feel your pain with that drawer slide. Fought with one on my last project!
I hate them! 😑

Thanks so much! It is a risk for sure with some paints, but Command paint dries so rock hard I wasn’t concerned. 😊🙌🏼
Love the dressers but more interested in B/W background wallpaper scene
@@nancymcclain2533 right?! It’s so good!

I’ve refinished a desk in the same style and there was beautiful veneer on all the doors. It’s such a timeless style.
For me the hot pink wasnt the deal breaker. When u were trying to fit the drawer slide. That oricess made my stomach tighten up. That is the point i want to rat a piece of chocolate, cover my head w/ a blanket and whimper 'why did i ever start this?'
Color isn’t my favorite but I think you did an excellent job.
Thanks!!😊🙌🏼

I wonder about all the IKEA furniture in 20 years. 🫣
Thanks, Laurie! I listed them for $450. We’ll see 🤞🏼

Thanks, Ellen! I was thinking the same thing about the Mocha Mousse. 😊🙌🏼
Great job! I can’t believe they priced them at $80.
Right?! My friend said I should have gotten them for free. If I had taken the time to really look them over, I’m not sure I would have bought them. Oh well, lesson learned 😬
bella❤
😊🙌🏼
❤❤
Thanks, Dorothy!! ☺️🙌🏼
Im thinking....some furniture does need to be sent to the landfill. But then you made them reusable again!
I had been moments of doubts, but I was pleased with the final results. Thanks, Linda!
Personally the color wasn't my favorite. I think all the accent choices were excellent! They really did turn out lovely 💖💖💖
Thanks so much! 😊 We’ll see if it sells. I figure I can always paint them black if not 😅
I like the dead salmon, but not the name.
It’s an awful name, but I guess people remember it. 😊🙌🏼
I can't believe she charged $80 for nightstands in such bad shape, i.e. missing parts, veneer, the overspray and color mess she made,
Right?! My friend said I should have gotten them for free 😬 I’m such a sucker for this style and way over optimistic 😑
I would prefer if you removed the paint and not repainted it.
Oh, me too! It was just too far gone. 🫠
