67’ 894s were perfect for skating, but seems like they are being phased out, not sure why they decided to change. The black and white tag looked better than this new tag. Plus the seat in the new slim fit skateboarding series looks kind of blown out for some reason, almost like giant diaper style. The 894 slims were perfect at first couple years, then they started to make em baggy so I stopped ordering them. I’m gonna order some of these new skateboarding ones and try em out, pics are hard to gauge by, but these do look baggy, models might be wearing a few sizes larger than waist size so legs are bulkier?
The 874 and skate reg very similar fit - is a wider straight leg and the skate fit sits higher on the waist. I do give visual size comparisons and try them on in that review link I sent you.
Hey man i bought the new skateboarding slim pants. They fit more like the regular Dickies slim/straight. They have flex but they felt thinner... unfortunately mine were great till the first time I slammed skating a bowl..looked down to see a full rip in the knee & my leg bleeding haha. Jus letting you know my experience..kinda disappointed tbh.
Hahaha I do hate people who are fake over excited in vides fools are thirsty. Recorded this at 330 AM which may account for such mellowness but I’m laid back so…thanks for the positivity ✌🏼
You are so right about the sizing. Ordered 34x30 and had to send back for 36x30 in the slim fit. That should do it. Also picked up 2 pairs of 874 Flex at Walmart for 26.00 a pair. All black color.
the jamie foy pants come in a 30" inseam, just hard to find! i go to walmart and buy the 874 flex pants for $21. favorite pants ever! just wish they had a cell phone pocket!
I recently stopped buying those ones I would wear the grey ones for years and after awhile they look like pajamas and I hate how they are super loose and baggy. So I went to my skate shop and bought the slim 874’s I have have brown ones finally!! And navy blue which my brothers would call janitor pants.
Are popular as dickies are…imo there still severly underated…they look good and are durable…i can wear them to the office and not have to worry when i need to get under the hood of my car or underneath
I like Dickies stuff, but I have to say, I don't like how often they discontinue products. I got a jacket for example, and it was gone the next year, so I can apparently never get it again. WTH.
Super great. I’m pretty sure you’re the actor dude on that show called Girls on HBO. Yeah - you probably never heard of it I’m sure ha. Anyways are you him? I mean maybe you are. Regardless, dope review, favorite part was the end when you were trying to remember what you’d learned, hilarious, it shows you’re good at memorizing, anyways thx for the cool little show man, and telling me way more than you could ever hope to dig up on their shit website. Cheers man
Thanks….i have heard of Girls but never watched it so no it’s not me hahaha acting was never my bag when I lived in San Diego my friends would drive up to LA and try out for things but I preferred to stay home, skate, blaze and chill. glad u enjoyed the laid back review ✌🏼
Interested in the slim straight skateboarding or 67. Seems thatjthe 67 would be slightly slimmer? Anyone try both and have impressions? Any difference in rise or seat?
The 67 slim has a tapered leg while the skateboarding slim does not. The 67 to me feels a little roomier in the seat. The 67 slim is softer has more cotton but the 67 regular fit is very similar to the dickies skateboarding regular fit. The pockets are the same on both 67 slim and skateboarding slim. The skateboarding slim feels like a heavier weight fabric as well. Hope that may help you some.
@@SOLESERFER Thanks. That does help. I have a pair of Dickies from long ago, some slim straight with a clasp closure. Maybe it is the 873. Size 29 since I weighted more before and as only certain brands make below 28, I never tried such. With ideal weight, I can fit in a 26. I hear there's variation in sizing, even among the same style in different colors. From photos, it seems like the skateboarding slim has a roomer thigh but maybe that is just the photo angle. Hard to say. I might get the 67 slim first and the skateboarding slim later. I've worn jeans for many years, and forgot how much more comfortable are pants. So I don't have any pants close to ideal size and having both would be fine. Just concerned if one might offer a little more room in the seat and/or stretch a bit more there in case the fit is a bit off or I gain a bit of weight.
Not much but dickies tend to be a bit more affordable due to mass manufacturing and the skate brands pay more attention to quality and details that’s why you pay more. In the end it doesn’t matter too much if you’re just going to skate in them and they will all get f’d up.
It sucks you can only get a 28" inseam in the 874. I wish they made a 28" inseam for the 874 flex. I have a brown pair of the 874 originals 36x28 that I ordered from their website. I normally wear a 32" in the waist you have to go up 2 sizes for sure, I dig them but they are a little too loose in the thigh area. I have the same brown color in the 874 flex but unfortunately the shortest inseam they make for those is 30". The 874 flex has a better fit not as loose in the crotch and thigh as the 874 original. I don't like cutting off the bottom of my pants because it never seems to look right..to me. I have them rolled once and I iron the roll to keep it in place. I'm thinking of taking them to the Chinese laundry place by my house to get them hemmed to a 28" they do good work and its only 12 bucks. Do you or anyone know how the Ben Davis originals fit? Are they true to size? I love the brown color of the Dickies they have that kinda cool retro 60's 70's look... and look really rad with a brighter color flannel or t shirt and any shoes. Can wear them to skate, work and if you have to dress up. Hope my info helped somebody..peace
Thank you for the info and your experience. I used to live in California where you could find Ben Davis but haven’t worn any or ordered any since I moved back East years ago. Maybe I’ll have to check out their site see what’s on offer. Thanks Mason.
Gave my slims away kept the regular but as I remember the slim has a very similar opening to the regular if only slightly smaller. It’s a straight pipe leg on the slims too so you do get a wider opening at the bottom than most slim pants.
The symptoms became overwhelming for me I kept hoping it would be better the next day I was sent to emergency room after a trip to a clinic because I thought I had stomach or colon cancer. After blood tests though they found out it was hyperthyroidism so now I take meds every day and see my endocrinologist regularly after getting blood labs done each time. If you have any doubts about your health make an appt talk about it and get blood work done don’t put it off no matter what it is brotha.
I did a review between the 874 flex and the skateboarding regular fit since the skate pant is based on the 874 you can check that out if you want - they are very similar
To me the original 874 are more baggy or loose in the thigh and crotch than the 874 flex. Total opposite. I have short skinny legs maybe that has something to do with it. Lol
Hi bro I'm from Paraguay, and I bought a regular fit 874 and those are so cool, but I forgot to buy one size more, and now I want this dickies but I can't find the link to these... thanks brother..
For me personally they were two sizes small if it helps you can also check out the reviews on the dickies site under the pants in question to see I’m not alone in that department. Yes the regular fit is roomier than the slim has a wider leg.
The regular fit skateboarding pant is based on the 874 with a few tweaks - so if you want to save some money grab the 874s definitely a baggier look - not a taper or slim leg on either of those. If you want to spend even more money you can grab the Jamie Foy’s those are the baggiest of all the new dickies skate pants.
@@SOLESERFER do the 874s run 2 sizes down as well or what you would usually wear because im also into the baggier look im usually a 32 but had to get a 36 for the baggier look in the slim straight skateboarding pants. And what 874s should i get? The work pants originals or flex
Oh wow that sucks I haven’t had any problems yet but the way these things are manufactured make them all not equal. Hope it was just some bad sewing on yours!
This was the most chill review I’ve seen of anything
I laugh when I see this video because I’m too relaxed 🤣 it was like 3 or 4am.
This G knows everything about the Dickies and his explainations are very exact!
Thanks homie ✌🏼
Dude this review is magnificent
You are being too generous but I appreciate it.
I’m glad I watched those video before my purchase, thank you

44.00 on Amazon for the regular fit. A little pricey but I ordered them. Thanks for the review

i m in france and love your reviews, keep em comin !
Big ups to France! Thank you.
hey thanks i wanted to get a pair for awhile but i was worried about the size
I wear a 32" in all pants except dickies 874 I wear a 36" ...biggest complaint I hear about dickies is they run small

The regular fit skateboarding are the ones I wear slightly baggy wider leg.

Thank you just bought 4 will see how they fit
I like mine wear them all the time . Thanks for the comment!
6ft tall! why would you need the shorter than 30" im 5'7" and 30" length is perfect.
I don’t necessarily need them shorter but some people like high waters aka short pants so it would be nice if it was offered
He could have a longer body and shorter legs
Hi mate what pants do johnny knoxville wear is it dickies ?
If I had to guess maybe the dickies 874 but I really don’t know.
@SOLESERFER ok thanks for replying i would love those style of pants they look good 👍🏼

The dickies skateboarding regular fit is a high rise supposed to have more room in the seat they do run small in the waist though for me.
You should do a review on polar 93 pants
I’ll check em out

how do they compare to the dickies 874 flex pants? love the 874 flex over the original fit due to the more room and movement in the thighs
