    I just thought of the perfect example.
    There are a lot of constructs surrounding gender roles and how we should express ourselves, and people usually just go with it, without thinking about it. Women shave without actually understanding or even thinking about why they should shave everything off, but men don’t. They wear make up more often than men and often don’t question where this expectation or these insecurities stem from. Men think they have to act a certain way. But really, what is femininity and masculinity really? That make up, the color pink, dresses, shaving etc. is something feminine or only for women is a construct built by society, because really, in nature we don’t wear dresses, make up or shave, these are things we gave created and therefore things we create a construct around that does not exist in our biological makeup. We associate these things because that’s what we have been taught.
    Toodles.

      @randomarcher , I am literally saying I think consumerism is stupid, I think gender is stupid. I think people spending their money on useless shit is stupid and women are mostly manipulated into it, but not because it’s easier? People are taught how to act and how to look, therefore they’re supposed to buy products to conform to those ideas and ideals, but it’s all consumerism and sexism in the end

    Peacocks, lions, snakes... All of them acts in a certain way, acording to it's sexes (and it is determinant). That's not a "social construct".

    One social construct that could also be said is generational social construct. If an old person watch tiktok its considerd weird. If a young person have the same media habits as an old person its also considerd weird

      @@readisgooddewaterkant7890 true! It‘s sad how we are expected to act a certain way! Old people can be playful or modern too and I think it’s great if they are instead of getting set in a routine :)

    hey quick question
    i found you under an old dp/dr video
    have your symptoms changed? i have dp since 2 months and i think im going insane (im german btw)

      @@y0ak1 hey! Die Symptome sind wirklich viel besser und weniger geworden und ich weiß gar nicht was ich geändert habe, vielleicht habe ich mich auch viel daran gewöhnt. Ich spüre mich immer noch sehr disconnected von meinem Körper, aber dieses extreme Gefühl von dp / dr ist seltener geworden und ist am schlimmsten wenn ich wirklich darauf achte. Was auf jeden Fall hilft würde ich sagen sind Achtsamkeits Übungen und Meditation bei der du dich auf deinen Körper konzentrierst. Oder auch in der Natur sein, an einem ungestörten Ort, Sport und schreiben! Ansonsten struggle ich immer noch viel mit Taubheit (emotional, aber auch körperlich). Aber es wird besser, versprochen! Man muss die Arbeit reinstecken und das habe ich immer on und off gemacht, aber ich bin jetzt entschlossen an diesen Dingen zu arbeiten. :)

    One thing i noticed by trying to imagne reverse gender role is how compliments are in norms. As example women/girls being called pretty, Correct me if i am wrong as i could be wrong. That being called pretty for a woman/girl is not that big of a compliment. While a boy/man called pretty is a bigger compliment it often contains intelegent or charming. So i guess for women it would be this compliment. "you have a high competence in choosing clothes and the charisma that is relatively rare".My guess is that maybe strong or competent is the other way around. I am not sure tho.
    I know from my personal experience that strong does not sound like a compliment to me. It sounds more like someone wants me to do work for them.
    I could be wrong or too obvious, i am not sure. My guess tho is that, For women on average the comment from someone not close "you are very pretty" is much less a compliment than a stranger saying "your name is synonymous with competence"

      @HonestlyHolistic  Месяц назад

      @@readisgooddewaterkant7890 I to be honest think that it wouldn’t change anything, gender is a construct and people DO express themselves differently (masculine, feminine etc.) but that‘s all it is, expressing yourself. I think the whole gender thing has gotten a bit out of hand, but I don’t know. Who‘s to say women (or men) are feminine? Or masculine? Or anything other than a female / male with their own individual personality. But idk just my thoughts and Personal experiences

      @@HonestlyHolistic I think it would be very intresting to experience. I tried to imagne it but it is not easy. Men doing most work at home taking care of the kids while women work. It makes me wounder if the compliments receaved would be different.

    the only part i didn't like about this video was when you said you used to be ignorant;
    not just you;
    but everyone remains ignorant;
    you didn't get over your ignorance;
    you better continue to question yourself;
    because of the inexhaustible Source of ignorance;

      oh sure, that is true, there is always ignorance in us and we should always continue to question ourselves and grow as a person. Thanks for watching!
