Lyrics are often very toungue in cheek and often humorous ("rap is the save as Billy Graham... just a different haircut") but always poignant. Thanks again. Man its amazing. Bob Carlisle who sang Buttlefly Kisses is the singer and he sounds just like Sammy Hagar on the song Devil Is A Liar. If you want to hear something that is pure rock sound ala Sammy Hagar 1983 style check out that Devil Is A Liar song
Daniel Band is from Canada and are pretty good. My favorite song from them is Run From The Darkness. Other songs by them are Rise Up, Bethel and Walk On The Water. You could label them as hard rock. I never cared much for Allies but Idle Cure is also worth checking out.
John Elefante is the former lead singer of Kansas. Him and his brother Dino produced some of their material and provided their band name. Their band Mastedon is worth a listen. John Schlitt is the former lead singer of Head East (never been any reason for you to think about me....save my life I'm going down for the last time) and Petra. The Elefantes also produced the albums for the latter. The singer from the allies went on to become famous for "Butterfly kisses." Sorry. And Randy Thomas wrote some big hits for top 40 artists. John X Volz was the original lead singer for Petra. John Schlitt became the lead singer for Petra when the band wanted to go in a different direction musically. Idle Cure plays Arena Rock. White Heart plays one of my all time favorite songs Independence Day. Daniel Band is a good hard rock band. No as for Allies I never really got into them but this wasn't to terrible. I might have to go revisit them again.
I thought this had a little bit of a Wild Cherry vibe to it; kind of like it was a second cousin to Play That Funky Music. I was having flashbacks to roller rink days! The ending was little belabored but this was otherwise decent for me and I enjoyed it.....
This guy is capable of sounding exactly like Sammy Hagar… unfortunately he doesn’t do it very often. The problem with Allies is they needed some to say “We’re heading into lame territory here” because they had a lot of promise - very talented people- but they always seemed to get cheesy or weak with their choices.
