  • Are you having trouble when you get pressured in your late forehand?
    Watch the video for a full tutorial on playing the cross-court from the late forehand and perhaps getting out of a pressured situation.
    The video will take you through two situations from your late forehand.
    The first is where you are under "neutral" pressure.
    The second is when you are under a lot of pressure.

    Tips for the neutral position late forehand:
    #1 Reach the shuttle at shoulder height.
    #2 Twist your forehand grip slightly.
    #3 Hit the shuttle with a stretched arm.
    #4 Rotate your arm along with your body movement.
    #5 Play the shot when you land with your foot.
    #6 Push away from the corner.
    #7 Hit the shuttle in front of you.
    Tips for the late forehand in a lot of pressure:
    #8 Point your foot towards the corner.
    #9 Use your forearm to hit the shuttle.

    in situations when I am so late that I need to hit the shuttle very close to ground on both deep corners , are there specific techniques or advices that we can use ? ( Thanks for all the great videos on this channel ) .

    This guy is using Backhand thumb grip for Late Forehand CrossCourt POwer Slice shot ( at min 5:30 ) . Ive never seen anyone using Backhand grip for Late Forehad shot

      Actually, it’s not because it’s wrong, it’s just a different technique.
      Morten Frost personally also uses the backhand grip, so it’s really up to you to figure out if it works for you.
      One of the weaknesses using that grip might be playing the clear from that position, slightly more difficult to generate the power.

      @@Basicfeather Tq for your prompt reply. I tried the said backhand thumb grip, it worked but as you said, forehand/bevel grips give more control and variations
