@@greywaren621 I started with children of time, honestly just get stuck in. I've just finished the shards of earth trilogy too which is a very different setup but also great. I was going to read some of his 1 shots next but then I discovered this channel and now I have a ton of other books I want to read 😢
@@greywaren621 yeah children is a trilogy too but I've only read the first 2 so far. I've really enjoyed shards of earth, it had some great factions and alien races too.
I'm so glad I came across this channel. It's hard to find new/old books that I haven't read or interest me and now after watching your videos I think I have too many, lol.
You always deliver on some excellent recommendations! And it's always nice when my local independent bookstore has a copy of one of the books in stock. Service Model, here I come! 🤟
I purchase SFF for a public library, so it's great to hear more hype around the titles being promoted by vendors. I bought the first Bobiverse book late last year because no one near us had it and it is SUPER popular compared to some of the newer titles I've purchased. I finished Stardust Grail earlier this week. More of an Indiana Jones vibe than Ocean's Eleven, but was fun, fast-paced, and creative (not perfect, but I do recommend).
Greetings! Some of my viewers have recommended your channel to me, saying our editing styles and humor is so similar. Watched a few of your vids so far and have subscribed! Cheers!
Oooh, Bob-iverse sequel. Can't wait! And, looking forward to another epic Peter F. Hamilton book. I'm currently listening to the 80+ hour long Pandora's Star and Judas Unchained audio books. Reading Peter's books requires commitment.
I feel similar about the PFH book. I do like his books tho, I'll probably get it. I also have MoG on preorder, Usurpation too. Service Model (Broken Binding edition!) arrives tomorrow. So many books, so little time....
I'm SO EXCITED too for the new James SA Corey! I am in the middle of my first reading of The Expanse- and wow! am I loving it! I originally watched the TV series because it was my husband's turn to pick what to watch- and was surprised how much I liked it. Now I'm hooked- and even hunted out some of Daniel Abraham's other books. And I put Semiosis in my cart because you liked it- and am looking forward to trying it. New subscriber, and first time commenting here- really enjoy your videos- thanks!
I have only preordered one book this year - Echo of Worlds by M. R. Carey. It is the second book in a duology. The first book Infinity Gate was one of my favorite books last year so I’m sooo excited to read the conclusion when it comes out in a few days! Haven’t heard too many people talk about this duology so you should check it out if you haven’t.
Exodus: The Archimedes Engine is not a direct tie-in, it only shares the same universe as the game and can be read as a standalone story. It will have a sequel though :)
Great video!! So many of these sound so good. You always make me go out and buy lots of books! Now I can't wait until they arrive. And thanks a lot for NOT recommending some books. Not every novel can be unusual, fantastic, poetic, startling or superb. FYI "Gotten" is misspelled
Alien Clay: Black-wells has it for 20bucks. I got City of Last Chances from them . Womb City: Rachel was so upset with your review she became bed-ridden for weeks. Random: I'm looking forward to Private Rites (Julia Armfield), Summers End (Juneau Black), Don't Let the Forest In (C.G. Lewis) and The City and it's Uncertain Walls (...written by the guy who's book is in the lower left of the screen).
It’s a shame Alien Clay isn’t out for you yet. I’m in Australia and it came out in March. It’s very good and quite different to Cage of Souls but not as good. There’s some biology-horror in it which is excellent.
I’m interested to hear what you think of Pandora’s Star. I read it and Judas Unchained. I’m not a fan of Hamilton style in the series, so his new book will be a pass for me. I thought there was a great space opera in the story, but Hamilton didn’t deliver it.
Coming out this fall is a historical artifact: "Last Dangerous Visions", edited by Harlan Ellison and J. Michael Straczynski. "Dangerous Visions" is a classic anthology of ground breaking (for the time) stories that was first published in 1967. It was followed by "Again, Dangerous Visions" in 1972, and Ellison promised "Last Dangerous Visions" almost until the day he died in June of 2018. Now Straczynski has completed the collection and it should contain some amazing stories. Well worth the pre-order.
Great list! Tchaikovsky is out-Brandon Sandersoning Brandon Sanderson, confirmed! 😂✨
Hahaha!! 😂 thanks
Tchaikovsky intimidates me. Where should I start?

@cogsy8578 Children of Time is the spider one, right? And Shards is the Space Opera?
I found ANOTHER great channel, and my TBR is out of control.

This audio is much much better!! Something you did fixed it from the last video! Excellent work!
Awesome!!! I got a new microphone!!!

It makes me happy when I see that you posted a new video☺️
Hahah i havent left yet! And i just recorded 5 new vids so more coming when i can finish the edits!
Spectacular list of new books!!!!!! This is a crazy good video and every book on this list sounds fantastic. Thanks Whitney
You're so welcome!
Bobiverse!!!! Dennis E. Taylor and Ray Porter on narration are definitely pre-order material.
🔥 yes!!! 🙌🏻
Hyped for China Mieville and Keane Reeves, I mean, what a combination. It’s gotta be good, surely, it’s gotta be good. x
Hahah will find out

Wow!! 🤩 a librarian! Im honored. Glad to hear the grail book is indian jones style, im sold!
I'm flattered. I will remember this when someone's antagonizing me for a 20-cent late fee, lol. Thanks for making great content!
Yeah, the Bobiverse books and the Murderbot diaries are the audiobooks I have on a repeat loop due to the great writing and awesome narration.

Don’t forget the sequel “Judas Unchained.”

On a reading slump now...but will add a few.
Did you read Deamon?
Yep! 👍🏻 loved it
