37 things you love about 37 strings.
that's just a small harp at that point.
Except i Djents!
It must happen.
They're EPIC!
Excuse me WHAT THE FUCK
1, it has a string
2, it has one more string
3, even more string
4, one bass string
5, one new string
6, there are already 6 strings
7, theres a lot of strings here
8, that's a lot of cool strings bro
dude 12th fret 1st string is still E. blew my mind. also more string
@@jacksolomon451 10th lol
@@malcolm_mal2055 no its not 12th fret on every string is is the same note its an octave above
@@malcolm_mal205512th fret
Waiting for 18 string guitar... It'll be if it isn't already.. then a 24,30, etc..

Didn't I just see you on a Davie video? You are campaigning hard! Hope to see some fun results before next election!

Lol
The fact that the guitar is constantly getting tossed around during transitions hurts me so much
It's like a child. It should not be hurt.
He should have added on the start: "No guitars were harmed in the making of this video"
Had mini heart attacks during all the transitions haha
@Gary h I wouldn’t call the number 5 drop tiny lmao that thing was FLYING
Seemed like the video was in the same style as his guitar course
I can smell a “8 things I hate about 8 strings” video coming.
Second channel.
Kmac will do that.
Obviously. More free views. Gotta keep those stonks up
8 things I 8 about 8 strings
well
I was actually getting nervous by #7 that somehow a certain term wasn't going to get mentioned. Should've had faith!
*sweats in Rick Riffson*
The most important thing i found out was that Rob can walk through walls
And can distort space-time into strange non-euclidean and hyperbolic geometries, entering the same room he exited through door opposite the wall he walked out. Rob Scallon is an Eldritch Old One confirmed, not that we didn't have our suspicions beforehand. Certainly explains his otherworldly skill and with so many instruments
Everytime Rob tosses the guitar, I get a heart attack
It scares me...Alot(⊙ˍ⊙)
The tossing is alright. The eventual successful catching is what numbs my mind! o_0
Why? It doesn't even look that nice or expensive, it's not even painted or stained.
@@SkinnyBlackout it is a guitar...it has soul
@@balinttakacs6951 Not really. It'd be a shame to drop a pretty guitar and scratch it or something, but this thing would probably be fine, satin finish and all. It's not going to break unless it was shoddily made.
He's not wearing a hat. I'M SCARED
its in one of those washing machines, clearly
@@zilvion9276 finally
It’s not just A hat it’s HIS hat
Finally embracing baldness
@@juandemartini817 gotta get rid of the bangs for that. So freeing.
A beard helps
Not to mention if you can play bass parts on an 8 string, it gives the bass guitar some room to play a solo. So not only are you gaining more musical territory, you’re giving the bassist more room to add to songs!

I don't think I've ever heard Rob scream before. I kinda like it
8 things I love about the 8 string
“Lists all the strings in order”
8-string guitar: **exists**
John Mayer: EXTENDO THUMB
I love the transitions.
"26 minutes of 8 string guitar" was the thing that made me buy one.
I was hoping he'd play it 8 different ways.
8 things that I love about 8 strings:
1. Rob loves them.
2. I love them too.
I totally agree with you so much on every single point of this vid. I play guitar for over 20 years now and recently bought my first (cheap, yet effective) 8-string multiscale and I hadn't this much fun in playing the guitar in years. Especially since I've seen all the awesome stuff people (like you) do with it besides djenting around. Not that I don't love the djent, but there's so much more to it than just that. The 8-string actually motivated me to dive deeper into music theory, scales, modes, tapping, sweeping and all this stuff that I missed out on for so long. The 8-string saved me from depression, suicidal thoughts, sleeplessness and gave me the stuff that as I can remember only the Cello gave me. So in my opinion you're 100% right. Thumbs up.
I love to smoke crack
Yeah I totally agree with you too ! 8-string guitar did cure my cancer, got my wive back, and a promotion at my job ! Also my hair stopped falling, and grew back again ! All hail 8-string ! 🙏🙏🙏
It takes 1 single sideline, to give you a lead back into life again.
I er, got a little nervous when the guitar was heading for a launderette 🫣, but it was a fun video.
If you get a 7 string and tune it on a traditional Russian classical guitar tuning you get a whole 100 years worth of repertoire of classical guitar songs.
Also there is a 10 string guitar called Decachorde
This is why I love Rob's videos. They're creative, well made and don't waste your time. Amazing!
Your transitions give me anxiety lmao

The cinematography is insane on this one. Love to see the progression!
Loved the edit. Thanks for your efforts one and all
My favorite band is Archspire, and the guitarist Dean, I believe he plays an 8 string guitar.
Archspire best
Yes, he plays Kiesel 8 string guitars
Number 8 was perfectly executed. The whole arrangement of this vid was so creative
The video is so cinematic, you can really see your progress as a filmmaker ! So proud to be an OG fan.
I love the transitions
I just came here to say I unironically, unsarcastically love your RUclips ads. It brings me joy seeing you 1) make dat money and 2) being unapologetically a RUclipsr in your ad. It reminds me of your channel when the algorythm betrays you, I can support my favorite tubers by NOT skipping the ad, AND its entertaining as hell!!! Keep doing you man, your helping redefine what this industry looks like
This editing is SPECTACULAR, Mate!!!👏👏👏
Great edition as well, keep it up!
Very entertaining video/edit! Love your music!
Them transitions are fire 🔥🔥🔥
Omg you're SO good at creating content, please never stop
I couldn't understand what's wrong for a very long time: he is without his сар

He's still got receding hairline , he just covered it up combing the back hair over the top...
I really enjoyed the transitions. thank you for the extra effort.
1:38 just gonna call out Animals as Leaders like that
Ah. So you didnt notice javier in the background.
Ben Dooley Javier plays an 8 string guitar as well?
The transitions were great!
Those transitions are so clean!
Amazing editing in this!!!
Great video and excellent editing!!!
Really cool video, love the edits!
Spectacular video, man!
Just ordered mine today, looking forward to trying to learn it!
This dude is just awesome, cool headed and a true djentleman.
The transitions are epic
Dude such a fun, detailed intro to this concept in playing guitar. I'm picking my first one up next month.
The production here is fantastic.
I just love how this rather simple video got way too much serious with all the montage things x)
That's some really clever editing and camera work!
these transitions are insane
Great editing, great background music, great video
_I miss my Agile 8-string guitar! 🎃 The tones and range was incredible!_
The song is insane man!!
this channel feels very classic old school youtube. Great content
Totally understand sparking new inspiration. I felt that recently even just switching from a 5 string bass to a 6 string.
I loved the editing
RUclips doesn't deserve this video quality, you are awesome rob, DJEEEEENT 🤘
Really creative way to promote Anchor and the next single.....Can't wait for it BTW
This video was done soooo well. Confirming what you know.
But like...

Bro. The videography and editing is op.. loved it ❤
He’s back!
Rob is like Destin from Smarter Every Day's grungy little brother.
I remember when you dropped anchor sittin on the washer. Beautiful song. Sounds great with drums
I love when he walks from one room into the same room.
Seriously tho we need a making of video
"I spent a ton of money on quarters so maybe give it a watch." I've never heard a more legitimate reason for to ask someone to watch my video before lol.
I’ve been thinking about getting an 8 string. Glad this video came out
Production quality just went up 3 fold.. Really nice work, Rob!
These visual effects are pretty good
Number 8 blowed my mind!
Always a good day when rob uploads
Very nice video productions, feels fresh :)
I bought an 8 string 4 months ago and since then I cannot stop playing. It's just too fun and refreshing
You are looking good!!!! Great video!!!!
I love you baby boy, glad you are back
Yoooo, that djent transition killed me
Loved this
Excellent presentation. Things I never considered in an 8 string!
The transitions were so damn smooth
I’m certain he’s botched throwing and grabbing the guitar at least once
Just yeets a $1000 dollar guitar at the wall
EVERYTIME YOU THROW THAT FLIPPIN' GUITAR, MY HEART JUST STOPS🥲😵😰😭
Why is this video so well made? Rob scallion ur amazing - u made a top ten list entertaining
it was so good!
This is the best thing I’ve ever seen
You frikkin' got me with that Djent moment, man. I've never laughed so hard, holy crow.
That last one. Yes.
I was waiting for it...
came here from the second channel for the guitar throwing, stayed for the octa-awesome 8 string facts
fun editing. What more can I say!
What I like most about the 8 string is the fact that I can use all the bass techniques that don't sound as good on regular guitar and all the guitar techniques that don't work well on bass, and I can use these techniques simultaneously. I love slapping it! The thing that annoys me about the 8 string is Djent, which often underutilizes the range and over uses the bass strings, but that's not the guitar's fault. Also, that thing about the string tension is weird, the strings are greater, thicker, and longer on an 8 string putting them under more tension, so you'd think that would make them harder to fret, but I've yet to play a guitar that's easier to fret than my 8 string.
That little rack focus at the start is a really nice touch.
The transitions though!
Love your look without the hat man!
JBurd killing it as usual!
Awesome video
Anybody else really like the editing and transitions
There is juat something special about how you djent Rob. I like it, im sure Mr Riffson would change his mind
The cinematography 😘👌🍷
I'd kill for a course by you specifically for the 8 string guitar!! I've only just had mine for about a year and it has inspired me to practice waaay more so my skills have gotten better overall, but there's just so much new territory to cover!!
Hey Rob! It would be nice to create a video explaining all the different tunings you use for 8 strings
