I can attest to this, I did a lot of work in the oak park area, right across from Austin and it wasn’t uncommon to find downward holes in gutters and the occasional dent and bullet

I really don’t know what it takes but here’s what I think. Charlie has over half a million subscribers so he has to be make somewhat decent money to pay for traveling from @RUclips and donations from @cash app and @PayPal. Takes free time, money, safe working vehicle and camera equipment. I’m sure it’s 99% if not all his footage. If I’m not mistaken Jay z has some of Charlies captured footage in one of his music videos.
I'm guessing he either had a job he could do from the computer, or even like a trucking job. Something that afforded him the money and travel time to start. But at this point, he easily gets enough interaction, that the youtube likely supports him and his travels. If you're familiar with the layout of the country, you can see the directions he is headed and pretty much predict what area he will be in next. If you scroll his videos in order and the anount of time between each video, it's all reasonable to be where he is at at each given time.
Chicago has many alleyways. One of the best cities in that regard. Big cities w/o good alley systems (NYC) really miss out and are forced to put all their trash in big piles on main streets, which looks/smells like shit for everyone
We have gangways too. Those are quite scarey at night especially when doing door dash or uber eats. Btw The Grudge 3 was filmed in Chicago. Some parts of the city give off a erie, horror film vibe

Hey in comparison to past years this seemed pretty calm! Haha didn’t hear one switch either. And they adhered to the rule that the first 5 minutes after midnight are okay to make noise, but got quiet after.😂 good job everyone Happy New Year 👍

It’s funny being 34 yrs old now & African American born & raised from Kansas City Missouri. I still remember in late 90s my folks waiting till 12 hit & amazed all my uncles had big boy rifles & cannons letting off… the surrounding blocks sounded like a war zone outside I heard fully automatics U NAME IT not just semi auto but FULLYS!!! I now own a arsenal myself but don’t shoot anymore on new years because bullets gotta come down

Born & raised in Chicago. Imagine actually being there it's very intimidating & scary, so yeah, it definitely feels like a war zone. Same experience on the 4th of July.
