He didn't unlock a spot (i.e., ran too slow) so the talk was with the ones that did unlock spots. Loved that Korir rocked his VaporFly 3's at the media event!!! Happy for him to finish 3rd this year as he was so close in 2020!!
I almost feel sorrow for the women that did not make the cut because they have been working so hard for so long. But were was Molly? OK, I see now that she injured her knee. Dang that girl has some bad luck.
The US men had already unlocked two spots at the Olympics (Conner Mantz and Clayton Youg run under the qualifying time in prior races). On Saturday they were racing again to determine who gets to go to the Olympics. If someone run under the qualifying time, the US would get a third spot. This means that if you run at or under the qualifying time you're not guaranteered a spot at the Olympics, you still have to race again in the US trials.

@@AmtcboyThe two first guys already have ran under 2:08, they just needed to secure a spot in the team (which they did)running the trials. The third guy hasn’t ran under 2:08 yet.

Am I the only one that noticed that at mile 15 Sarah Hall took off her watch and threw it away?
I wish someone asked her why.
Most likely
A. Top 10 in Paris if they have an amazing day.
GALEN will be missed . One of the greatest side by side with Shorter & CO
Why only two spots for men? Isn't it normally the top 3 men and women go to the olympics?
Top 3 who have met the Olympic standard. Only Mantz and Young have met the Olympic standard (in another race).
Shrinkflation
Is called BS

The reporter said the top 2 automatically are in the team. The third placer though, the organizers will still “deliberate.”
Hmm….

qualifying time for men (Olympics) is 2:08:10.
If followed, no one qualified.
Yup, organizers’ discretion.
