thank you for this great video. one question : after i have accepted an invitation, if i want to leave the Teams org that initially invited me, how do i do that?
Great Video... I just asked my guest to verify that they can see my org under their avatar, let's see.. However, is there an explanation as to why I can see them as a guest under > Manage Team > Members and Guests but not able to add them to public channel?

Hello! Guests cannot be provisioned with mailboxes, and thus they cannot use the Calendar tab. There's a nice chart in this article that gives more info on what guests can and cannot do: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/guest-experience
I have been using teams but it is always ask login code every 24hrs .. How to keep always open for use??
Hello, do guests have access to the Tasks tab/icon in their Teams app?
Guests will see the tasks tab on the desktop and online web clients, but they only get the tasks app in the team on the mobile experience: docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/manage-tasks-app
Our guests can't see all the open channels in our site. Do you have an idea to fix this?
I've added a quest to my team. In this team we use the app "Planner and to do" to assigns tasks to the different team members, but a quest also has permission to add or delete tasks. Is there a way to only allow people from my own organization to add or delete tasks?
Unfortunately, there isn't a good way to do this.
Nice video thanks..BUT many guest of mine are having log-in issues in joining my team as guest...once in, all smooth, still log-in is often cumbersome and requires a bit mogic...do not understand why
This blog is a bit old. There are more options than we covered here (Shared Channels probably being the most prominent). The biggest issues people have with signing in usually relate to the invitation process or understanding that this process creates a new user in a different tenant.
Because a guest users is a new user in a different tenant they must follow the rules imposed by that tenant. This means they may be required to register new MFA settings. If they use the authenticator app it will show up as a different account in the authenticator app. If they choose a different phone number that will be the number that will get txt's and calls related to MFA challenges.

If an important technical guest comes in from another organization and we need to give them full control, how do we make that guest an owner?
Hello! By design, guest users have limitations to their capabilities. If someone needs full ownership, you may be better served by creating an account for them within your tenant, as the Guest access might not provide the capabilities you're after. Here's a helpful chart showing the different capabilities of guest users vs. internal user:

How can you edit guest information? For example, their name as it appears to the rest of the group?
Guest users are added at the tenant level so you can not change things like "display name" only within a team. An Active Directory (Entra) administrator could change a users name in Entra and that will apply across the tenant including in Teams.
What happens if the team channel (created by external organization) that you have already accepted to join as a guest disappear and you no longer can see that channel?
So, it seems like you are missing some things in your explanation. You can be added to an external channel in two ways.
1. You were added to a Team that exists in an external organization. In which case more than just a channel should disappear. If just one channel is missing, it likely means they deleted it.
2. You were added to a Shared Channel that exists in an external organization. If it is missing, it would imply that you were removed as a member of that shared channel.
Hello! If i am using my own computer and was added as a guest to organisation, can they track my email or other Microsoft programs such as Word, Exel, Outlook etc ? Do they have access to my private files, for example OneDrive ? In which case it is possible?
Being added as a guest to an organization does not allow any access to your personal information. It simply allows you to authenticate and access resources in that company!

Hi, why some guest users do not appear in Teams search?
When you are searching for a user to add to your team, the only users that will be shown are users who have already accepted an invite and exist in your tenant. If you are adding a new user or a user who has not yet accepted your invite they will not be displayed.
If you are here to know how and why you are not seeing guest invitation in your Teams app, I had to restart the teams app after accepting the invitation and the guest account showed up.

Hello Abdulnabi, guests can only attach files or documents within a Channel. In a chat, there is no attachment options for guest users. That's because in private chats, attachments are uploaded to users' OneDrive, which a guest does not have. But in Channels, attachments are uploaded to the SharePoint site for the team

Is there a way to block my status/availability from an external user.
I believe the only way to do this is to enable "privacy mode". However, I haven't used this setting since Skype and Microsoft's documentation isn't great regarding how it works.
This link talks about how privacy mode works in Teams (which is different than Skype). It also says that you can't customize these??? learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/presence-admins#admin-settings-in-teams-compared-to-skype-for-business
This is the PowerShell command that would change the Privacy Mode setting. But I am not sure if that works for Teams. You might want to reach out to Microsoft support. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/skype/set-csprivacyconfiguration?view=skype-ps
NOTE: All of this is for Tenant admins. If you are looking to do this just for you, there isn't a way to do this.
Can guests share screen and manage breakout rooms?
Hello! Guests cannot manage breakout rooms, but guests can share their screen. Only the meeting organizer can create and manage breakout rooms.

Good question. Only in-tenant presenters are available for assignment as breakout rooms managers. People joining as attendees and being promoted to presenters from roster cannot be made managers, even if explicitly invited.

Can I add a guest who has free version of MS Teams?
You can add a guest user of any type. The user would just need to make sure they accept the invite within 24 hours and they sign in with the Microsoft Account associated with the email address you sent the invite to.
Chating is disabled in my teams who can help me
If chatting is disabled, it would have been done by an administrator/owner and you would need to work with them to enable it again. If you are an administrator/owner and you aren't sure how this was disabled, it it depends on what is actually disabled. Are you talking about Channel Posts within a Team Shared Workspace or direct message chatting?
This does not work for us. We don’t want the guest to have full access to the team. We want them to have access to a channel of the team. Maybe I’m asking Teams to be spending it’s not meant to be.
There is a new feature called Shared Channels which would do something similar to what you are asking. However, it requires both tenant administrators to setup a "relationship" between the tenants. You can't just create a Shared Channel and then add guest users to it.
Other than this there isn't another way to do what you want in Teams.
