- Here's my reaction to Something In The Orange by Zach Bryan! This may be the best country song I've reacted to so far. I used to love country, but have stopped listening over the past ten years or so. Since then I've been a huge metalhead, and decided to revisit my roots and check out some modern country! Thanks for watching and let me know what you want to see me react to next!

I get so excited when I see another reaction to this song! I love your analysis but something I’ve always thought was in the first verse the line “I miss you in the morning when I see the sun” and the sunrise is compared to “the orange” and then he talks about the happy times. Towards the end after he’s gone through it all he talks about it being night and the orange in her eyes. At the end he says “something in the orange tells me you’re never coming home” so it’s the end of the day and he’s talking about going through that grieving process Sunrise to sunset and how it morphs with time even in a day his emotions are all over the place. Can’t wait to get more into your content!
Wow I didn't even catch that, but it totally makes sense! That's super deep and insightful. Thanks for sharing your analysis on it!
"I poisoned myself again" to me sounds like I did this to myself again, and by letting myself get too invested I'm hurt once again. He's felt this before, and didn't intend to feel that way again. None of us really do though right. And to me "something in the orange tells me that you're never coming home" is absolutely heartbreaking. That feeling of knowing that this is it. After right now things will never be the same again can be hard to get past. Idk why I am drawn to heartbreaking music but I always have been. Probably why I love the fiddle so much, because good or bad you can feel the emotion in the sound.
Spot on! Super deep stuff. I absolutely love heartbreak music. The fiddle is super powerful.
I poison myself again” sounds to me like he’s drinking again, or gets drunk again.
YES, drinking and or drugs to cope
I thought that initially, but I do think it's about getting with this wishy-washy girl again.
It's less break up, more a girl who is using him.
Thank you!! I have literally watch a few hrs of reaction to this song, and no one truly understood what he was saying. I kept watching trying to find someone who felt it the way I felt it, and the way he meant, and u nailed it. I will subscribe!
I'm glad you liked it! Thank you so much for watching!
You are amazing and I appreciate you diving into the lyrics. Please keep it up. I subscribed!!!
Thanks so much!
Great analysis and agree with your assessment. Such a great lyricist with so much emotion that speaks to every human in some way or another. He has so many great songs. Looking forward to more reviews.
Thanks so much I appreciate it!
"You couldn't hate enough to love" This song sometimes reminds me of Snuff
To me when he says..
When you place your head between my collar and jaw..i dont know much but theres no weight at all..
Hes saying when she comes to him and he holds her.. shes not really laying the weight of her feelings on him..shes not really LAYING ON HIM..Internally shes pulling back because shes over it..and he can feel that shes not really there emotionally..
Ooh okay yeah I can definitely see that!

Now that I know you read the comments I'll add this..and its wordy and Im sure youre busy so if you cant read its fine..Im still a subscriber..
1. I NEVER leave comments.
2. All I do is watch reaction videos..I dont have Tiktok..Dont watch reels..No tutorials..Alrogithms can kiss my ass..I ONLY WATCH REACTION VIDEOS..from old to recent..people with tons of subscibers to almost none..Thats my deal.
3. There is always a comment on almost every one of them that says they are the best or the King of reactions..and I'm thinking...nah..
4. My least favorites are white people...(I'm white..It is what it is..)
BUT YOU...are so good. You are very insightful and you just have a presence that captures and KEEPS my attention..You really pay attention to the song and the lyrics and put as much of your soul into your reaction/breakdown as the artist does into the song. You appreciate good music..on a level that only a true music lover can recognize..Its very refreshing. I am glad that I found you. Youre awesome.
@@brittanyvickers14 Wow, thank you so much. Your comment truly means everything to me. I try my best to truly understand the message that the song and artist is trying trying to put out. So many people completely overlook what is actually being said. I just want to share how I perceived their message and try to get others to actually LISTEN to the message, not just the catchy chorus. Thank you so much for the kind words I greatly appreciate it ❤️
@@AustinCollinslive have you done Whiskey and You by Chris Stapleton? Even if you dont make a video listen to that shit and tell me whatcha think lol
Agreed!
A wishy washy girl, with a man desperately in love with her.
I know this feeling
While I think your interpretation of 'poisoned myself again' as accurate, it's a Lil more to it. I see it as also relating to substance abuse. Perhaps that was a factor in the breakup, but its also a bad coping mechanism hes using in dealing with the breakup
I don’t know the details of the story but I’ve heard this actually isn’t about a romantic relationship, it’s about he loss of his mother. Didn’t hear that until after I’d had this song on repeat for months, and it gave it a whole new meaning. Great reaction regardless!
Also, if you like Zach, you’d love Tyler Childers! He’s cited Tyler as a huge influence for him. “Lady May” “Charleston Girl” and “Feathered Indians” would be fantastic places to start!
Wow that's interesting! Definitely makes sense though! Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
You have no idea. Poison yourself means he's drinking..
you remind me of mutahar.
To much talking
