Dude seriously, one of the realest things I've heard in my 30 years is you saying "you know something that's really terrible? Losing someone that you really care about....and the worst part is they're still around". I swear to god that quote should be famous because its so damn relatable.
Into the Orange is him seeing the sunrise and having hope she will come home and then hating her when the sun sets realizing she's not coming back and going through that cycle everyday.
... The orange touches all things around... The grass, trees and dew; how I just hare you... -they are reflecting the orange and reminding him his lost love one.
You got me when you said losing somebody you really care about and the worst part is their still around I felt that, much love brother, thank you for your service 🫡🫡🫡
I'm watching my daddy deteriorate and it hurts my soul. I'm 52 but it takes me to when I was 5 learning how to tie my shoes by practicing on my daddy's military boots before he left for work. This guy doesn't know whether they should be together or not. You become like the people you hang with.
I don't think he was stationed in OK. He did grow up in Oologah, OK though. I think the majority of the time he was writing music heavily, he was down in Jacksonville, FL.
She left him. He's going thru stages of losing her....desperation, anger (how I hate you) and getting wasted (poisoning himself). He's reminsicing but can't let her go yet (turn those headlights around and come back to me). It was a significant other...her head resting on his chest would only mean a relationship.
Thank you for your service! This song has me sobbing. It has ripped open a wound still in the process of healing. After being married to a narcissist who knew how to keep me right on the edge of holding on and ending my life… I understand
Love the "two cup" analogy. It's not so much having to fill my own cup, it's the reaction of the other cup holder when you try to stop the flow. Great reaction, as usual!
Soothing in the orange is an hour before sunset. He poison himself at night and the grass trees and doo from morning light reminds him how he hates her
Song reminds me very much of something I went through in my younger years. What I take from the song is they had broken up before... and she keeps coming back where she is almost a little messed up due to something in her life... wants him back but doesn't... then leaves again... he lets his hopes get up again and again (being poisoned again) but then has it all pulled out from under him the next morning.
I think a broken relationship, He knows it will be hard to adjust without her, but he knows it’s over by the meaning of the orange sunset, another chapter done.
The way that you keep those that you've lost around is by finding the lessons that they taught you and letting them change you for the better. That way, even after they've gone, they're still there pushing you to be better.
Hope you've been well! The thing about this song is I think it can apply in all those situations. Whether you lost someone through a standard breakup or to death or dementia, or, as you said, that you love them but you realize they're toxic and you have to let go for your own well-being. And I'm glad you brought up that last scenario. I hadn't thought of that, but your absolutely right. Anyway, it's a gorgeous song. Glad you reacted to it.
He doesn’t hate her he hates the grass, trees and dew that he sees when the orange is no longer around bc that means the night is over and she isnt coming home. He has lost something good and is staying awake all night wanting her to turn around and come back.
I was about to go to bed, when this video pops up. I was going to watch first thing in the morning but saw Zach Bryan and had to watch. I love this music and one of my favorite artist. Also from my home state. You want other Zach Bryan songs try sweet deanne- about his mother I believe Crooked teeth- about a rough bar near this childhood house Heading South - idk background Some of my favorites from him.
She doesnt want to be in the relationship anymore but shes scared to tell him because she doesnt want to hurt him. He hates her for making him feel like this. The person you want to console you is the person youre grieving for. Hes mad she wont come back.
It’s a love song. She left him and he is heart broken. I interpret the “I’ve poisoned myself again” as falling in love again. “Please turn those headlights around” is him going back and forth cause he hates her for leaving him but still loves her, at least that’s how I take it, loved the reaction sir!
My husband of 20 yrs died last year very unexpectedly. Something in the orange is telling me that hes never coming home. Did he still love me? Ill never know.
“The grass, trees and dew, how I just hate you. Please turn those headlights around” He’s saying he hates what reminds him of her, which is the grass, trees and dew. Not that he hates her. He just said it in a roundabout way
@@TormentedVet_Reactions MS is cool. I just saw someone at a concert in Lex, KY. They looked a lot like you and were also a vet. He was wounded and crippled. I really thought he looked like you. I've never served myself, but damn I feel for those of you who have. That is the true strength of the people. Much respect.

Yeah, same here. ❤

With the hate, hes talking about the grass tress and dew because of the sun rising (something in the orange) that tells him shes never coming home.

Just discovered this Chanel, and so appreciate the thoughtful insight on music, relationships,
and talented musicians.
