I had somebody come back to me recently after six months with a re con laptop, I stated batteries are not guaranteed on refurbes, turns out battery was issue! The client was very nice over it, I decided to supply a battery as a good will gesture, I guess you might be the same, would rather have a good reputation. Keep going.

    This is why most dealers in Australia offer 50% off retail for trades. I.e. a $15,000 car they would retail on their pitch they would offer no more than $7,500. It is very rare to find anyone who would pay more because of warranty jobs and bills often come in for $2,500. Auction cars are about a quarter of retail because of the unknown.

    If a dealer claims they have done the work before selling, is it unreasonable to ask to see receipts for the work ? and how would you feel James if this was asked of you?
    I would personally like it for peace of mind, but i also think it shows a little distrust towards the dealer.

      @johnedwards3198 11 дней назад +2

      Over how many simulated years should they test it for? The rubbers should last several years but how long can't be guaranteed as they can't truly test the parts longevity exposed to all sorts of environments and temperature over years of real use. That's why most parts only have a 5 or 7 year warranty. Their main concern should be testing the engine, gearbox and suspension components that would blow up or cause accidents... Oh wait obvs didn't work with EcoBoost testing 😅
