I didn't think to use them to reduce bulk! I usually use them (more my pinking rotary blade) to cut wovens to help reduce fraying while I work. I will definitely be using them on future projects to reduce bulk!!
Who are you and where have you been all my life? Never heard of anyone using them to reduce fabric bulk. I'm new to this stuff. Inherited my Mom's sewing machine which I know nothing about because when she tried to teach me years ago I was so bad she'd just say, "Here, let me do it." She tried. She really did. I'm the youngest of 8 and my mother had patience for days but not when it came to teaching me sewing. Final straw was the machine needle through my finger lol. I was welcomed no more into her sewing room. Hand stitching for me. How odd that I inherited the beast. All my other syblings already had one at their houses. I was the only one that didn't. So I'm learning on you tube. And you are not your typical youtuber sewing person. On to watch more. Wish me luck lol Ps I've always had pinking shears in my sewing kit. Thought everyone did. Need them when you don't sew well. My mother almost died when she saw me making 'fancy paper' with hers as a kid. Learned that day that cloth scissors and paper scissors are not interchangeable. I won't tell you how I terrorized my father's tools. Lol the tapemeasures and chalkline thingy were too irresistible.
I would use them for almost all future projects. I always hear good things but I've never owned a pair. I was surprised it cut through that zipper! Fiskars are one of my favs brands of scissors.
Could those pinking sheers also be used in place if hemming? Say you forgot to measure out your hem and one side is longer than the other. Could those sheers be used instead of the hem?
I would love a pair of pinking shears for making clothes for my son. As I get into more complicated patterns, I can't use my Serger for every stitch. I would love a good pair of pinking shears to help cut down the seam bulk. 😊
I love useing mine when I make my dolls. Unfortunately Mine turned up missing when I needed them this time. Just what happens when you have four kids. Lol

Fraying is my second use for sure!

You would still see the cut though... It could keep a hem from FRAYING

Awesome that you're trying more complicated patterns!
I would love pinkking shears for making my daughter clothes. I'm a newbie sewer and self taught so I really need to build my sewing supplies...
I could really use some pinking shears for my woven projects like aprons and booties!
It'd be interesting if you sewed something like a beautiful dress for your wife
You are so awesome.
I don’t own any, but would love some to make sewing knit garments easier.
My pooch needs some new bandannas, I would use them for this.
i usethem for my sewing all the time

They are way too expensive where I live, I'll just keep zig-zagging and hemming.
You need a mic.
We actually had a wireless mic failure filming this episode, so had to use the back up. GOOD EAR!
No shade, but look at Mrs Kasha Davis, out of drag and tell me yall don't resemble. I thought you were her with a diff channel.
