Another tribute to Claude Rains. The scenes are from the 1935 movie, "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" and the music is Lucas King's "The Manipulator."
Claude Rains always looked more dapper in Black! Dear, sweet, talented, and handsome Claude Rains!
I agree!!!
I wish Claude was still alive. I have emotional breakdowns over him sometimes. Although he died before I was born, truly, I am a huge fan of Claude Rains. I love him.
@@christinedubois5954 Careful. We have to be so careful when we transfer real feelings from a pitiable reality to the ferocious pull of media phantoms. You can become psychotic. I got there once - almost. Who knows what the subliminals might be in these youtubes?

Hey, thank you for sharing this video with me!! Superb work, great song, wow!!!! OMG, I have not heard of this movie, but now I got something I can look into!! Claude Rains will always be a legend, just those piercing eyes and that commanding voice; just an amazing actor all around!!!! Loved him in Battle of the Worlds (1961); that end when he laughs like a madman--reminded me of the Invisible Man's laugh!!!! I found a book on Claude Rains' acting called "Claude Rains: A Comprehensive Illustrated Reference to His Work in Film, Stage, Radio, Television and Recordings." I am waiting to get it in the mail, but I hope it's good! It may be something up your alley too!
You're going to love that book. It's excellent.
@ Belonzo Strangelove - His Phantom of the Opera is my favorite characterization of the man who was driven to become the Phantom. Also, I love Battle of the Worlds partially because of him, but also the film score is so uniquely European. The opening music is very haunting.
Sorry I typed your nom' de'plume wrong.😑
@@tonysantiago255 I so agree! Phantom is so tragic!!! And, dude, towards the end of Battle of Worlds, when Rains laughs crazily as the ship is about to blow is just such a crazy awesome scene because I hear an echo of the Invisible Man!
@@bolzanostrangelove2621 The last mashup that I did was Phantom of the Opera. Wonderful movie.

I really enjoyed your Invisible Man, but I can´t find it now. Could you give me the link?
Thank you! I’d love to see this!
Here's another one where he doesn't get the girl: ruclips.net/video/kMYawsT707k/видео.html

@@nancyjohnson8239 Thank you greatly.
' Life is strange and love is stranger/ broken hearts cut deep/ Opium dreams become a danger/ when they break the bonds of sleep./ Age and youth bide not together/ when the bonds of love they break/poppy smoke and pipes forbidden /panacea for the rake/ John in dreams of luscious pleasure/ lovely Rosa you pursue/ John in hopeless aged Winter/ when I dream, I dream of you.' I'm so privileged that you put your poem on this video. It's beautiful. Perfect. Thank you.
@@nancyjohnson8239 You are very kind! John Jasper as portrayed by CR, in his agony, his despetation, his smoldrring passion..such a tragic and Byronic character. Thank you for the inspiration.
