I put a piece of plywood in my bucket. Left it hang out about two foot. Used chains at the end of the plywood to give it (some) strength. Went from the bolt on hooks down the sides. I need to perfect the chains a little better. Just hauling firewood with it but can haul at least twice as much with the plywood. If i wasnt hauling it so far i would just make more trips.
Thanks Tim. You give me more ideas to make more stuff might or might not use. But at the same time its fun to play with anything that might be of some use.
Great easy to make bucket extension Tim. I love your common sense approach to building it. Very enjoyable and educational video Tim. Thanks
I've got a MidState #40 72" litter bucket. It stays on my tractor more than any other attachment. Great for when I'm walking around picking up fallen branches, I use it for moving small amounts of firewood to the pass-through door, anything that's not crazy heavy. I paid $900 for it back late December 2021. Not sure what they go for now, but worth every penny for me.
I like it! It takes me back to my younger years when I had less money, but more ambition and creativity. Just ignore the looks from the "professionals" driving by. It works just fine! Keep driving.
For me, I think this would be great for hauling firewood to the house. The 1025R bucket just doesn't hold much firewood. Thanks for sharing Tim.
Nice option, GREAT video.... 😮😅😊
Cut a groove in the edge of the 2x6 to accommodate the board warp.
Modern day carpenter!! Cool vid you two!!!
Gm, love this Tim, when you spending time explaining the details! Shows your depth and knowledge about everything! I needed this today ... Been wondering sir! This helps in my recovery....
Curious how well it will pick up snow, perhaps you guys could revisit this project once there is some snow on the ground?
Thanks for the videos, i enjoy your content!
I was just thinking about purchasing debris forks to extend the front of the bucket. I would put either sheet metal or plywood on top to achieve a similar result as this. For the sides, I saw another RUclipsr use old road signs and angle iron to capture snow but they would work great to capture leaves as well. Thanks for the inspiring video!
optical illusions ... its pretty cool that 2x6 has wheels ... (right before the edge is put on it ... (the scaffold in the background))
Good idea- I may try this
Tim great video I was watching your older videos about the snow pusher and the wedges to be on the bucket to push snow.. happy Thanksgiving to your families!! Steve from WV
NICE IDEA!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
i have the edge tamers extenders, works ok
do not have the vertical ones
What a great idea, but I'm not seeing an option for the side guards only for anyone who already purchased the extenders? I posted a video last year showing a similar concept for a snow pusher with the R2 extenders. The R2 tamers are so much better in quality and versatility than all of the knock off brands. It seems like if R2 prices were just a bit lower and if they would do more marketing showing how junky the knockoffs are, they would be selling a lot more R2 tamers and accessories.
These extenders are different.
nice project. functional does not have to be pretty.
This used to be a good channel to watch. Apparently RUclips money has got to them to.
