MisterTutor2010 Even in death she keeps delivering burns. Quite contrary to the cold touch of death...Yeah. She would like that. Not even the cold touch of death can withstand the burns delivered by The Queen of Thorns!
The poison didn't kill her. She faked her death and went to Braavos where she now has a new boy toy every night and has little tarts fetching figs for her. This is what I choose to believe!!
We didnt see her die yet. She might just have an antidote in some closet that she will take after jaimy leaves the room. We'll see if shes really dead in a few hours :)
I wish she'd interacted with every single character on the show, and sass them all out to seven hells and back. Diana Rigg was such a delight to watch as Olenna, and her interacting with other talented actors on the show would've been great to behold. Anyway, I will keep on believing she survived with an antidote she'd kept at the ready in the room, and escaped soon after, even if we don't see her on the show anymore.
I agree. I would have liked to see her meeting Sansa again and give her some more advice but also to aknowledge how much she has changed since their first meeting. I really hope she found some way to avoid death since we never really see her die which is very unusual for Game of Thrones and is secretly plotting her true revenge.
+Mary Barr Well now that you mention it, I think I saw her slipping something small under her dress, probably was a bezoar. And thanks, yours is nice too. :)
Lyanna is 10. When Stannis receives the note from the Mormonts he says something to the effect of look at what this wretched girl of 10 said!! Still to young for Jon at least at this point. Maybe when she is 17-18 and Jon is approaching 30 they can hook up without the ick factor.
She'd outsmart that hag in her 20 already at that pace. Although I seen a lot of kids being way ahead of their age, almost all of them end up losing that, they burn too bright and extinguish fast. Getting ahead of time is one thing, but keeping it up is whole another level.
That's almost all the scenes she ever appeared on in the show.. what a sharply written character and what an amazing actor to leave such an impression behind. She owned her death scene
She's so savage! I'd like to see a spin-off show of her locked in a room with Lyanna Mormont, The Hound, Bronn and Tyrion and listen to all their sarcastic quips and sassy one-liners for hours. It would be entitled "Game of Sass"
And the OH SHIT look on Mace's face as he turns to Cersei and Jaime is PRICELESS!! Love that scene! - and Stannis for sharing the secret with entire kingdom
She is amazing. She knows Jaime will have mercy on her because it's in his nature. Then she proceeded to say something to Jaime that'll get him pissed off enough to get him to leave the room so that he never actually sees her die. She takes the antidote. She's one sly fox 😏 ALL HAIL THE QUEEN OF THORN
I find it stunning what a great pick Diana Rigg and Natalie Dormer are for acting two relatives. They resemble each other well in certain expressions, like smile, at least for my eye.
Hers was the only death I was not angry about or crying over - she was simply as badass as she had been throughout all seasons. Awesome female character.
god I love Olenna's death scene. she takes the poison, knowing from that moment she's beyond being tortured or humiliated, she spills the beans. you may take her castle and her lands, she may leave your lands untouched, but she will rip your entire world asunder and leave nothing but an empty void.
Many of the supporting characters are of such high caliber that you wish they had their own show. The life of the Q of Thorns. The life of Little Bear. The life of Varis. Etc. It is a huge part of what makes this show something extra special and wonderful.
'Another golden rose, how original. I eat from plates stamped with roses, I sleep in sheets embroidered with roses, I have a golden rose painted on my chamber pot... as if that makes it smell any better. Roses are boring, dear. "Growing Strong." Ha! The dullest words of any House. "Winter Is Coming." Now that's memorable. "We Do Not Sow." Strong, strong, those are Houses you watch out for. Direwolves and krakens, fierce beasts... but a golden rose growing strong? Ha! That strikes fear in the heart. Look, little loves. A spider in the garden. Run along, now. Grow strong.'
Her final 'you must be very wise by now' burn is my fav one. I'm suprised her face isn't full of bruises after a lifetime of pixelated thug life glasses descending on her face.
Lady Olenna was a political "veteran" of sorts and an absolute delight on the show. Always sharp as a dagger and just about unshakeable in everything she did; a truly formidable player in the game of thrones, without ever losing that hint of 'old grandma'.
I may not be a sword swallower, but I do love bleach. Care for a trip down my throat? Or in my eyes? The show jumped the shark for me and I need something to help me get over it. You in?
We don't actually see Lady Olenna die. I know she took the poison but her death was off-screen so it's possible she survived as there's no way she wouldn't have learned something about poisons and antidotes (she also met with the Sands so may have picked up knowledge from them).
Albagaga fair enough so then maybe this lil exchange between ollena and Jaime talking about how bad cersei is ya know olenna is basically telling all at this moment because she knows that's it and she chooses to say two things that she killed Joffrey and cersei is a monster...it def impacted Jaime I think 💭 to send him either to his death or the other side hopefully it's the latter because he's my favorite
Albagaga- I think "hate" is a strong word and I'm not at all convinced that Jaimie harbors that much ill will toward Tyrion. He knows that it was his lover's/monster's doing that forced Tyrion away from their family by her life long hatred of him for things over which he had absolutely no control (being a dwarf and because Joanna Lannister died giving birth to him). He told Bronn that he would kill Tyrion if he ever saw him again BEFORE the monster blew up the Sept of Baelor, and their last remaining child took his life because of her actions. Perhaps this is wishful thinking on my part but I'm still holding out hope that Jaimie is in fact the Valonqar of Maggy the Frog's prophecy and he chokes the life out of Cersei.
But the thing is, EVERYTHING went left in the Lannister family the moment Tyrion was falsely accused of Joffrey's poisoning. Tywin was murdered, because he sentenced Tyrion to death (even though he knew deep down that his son was innocent), then Tommen committed suicide because of his own mom's stupidity, then Myrcella was poisoned... Tyrion's sentencing was the downfall of house Lannister and all this just from ONE single move from Lady Olenna. Now there are just two remaining and I can already predict Euron Greyjoy WILL find a way to take the power or have Cersei killed if they ever get married. But yeah, I don't think Tyrion and Jaime can rekindle, too much happened.
I loved the look on Jaime's face when Olena admitted she was the one who killed Joffrey. Tells you how good of an actor he is when he can fake the look of someone screaming internally. XD
Olenna ultimately went out on her own terms and in the best possible way given the circumstances. I mean, come on guys as well written as she was and as amazingly as Dame Diana portrayed her, she's old as fuck and her house had no importance anymore. I'm glad she was given a respectful send-off before she passed away irl.
They really did Olenna's death well. As much as I hate to see her go, her house is already extinct the moment the other Tyrells died. Still, the way she just stares at Jaime after telling him that she was the one who killed Joffrey was staggering. She didn't have a sword but she stabbed Jaime through and through like he was a barbecue.
One of my favourites was Olenna's first meeting with Brienne - "Well, aren't you just MARVELLOUS! I heard you knocked my grandson into the dirt like the silly little boy he is." For Brienne, so used to being dismissed and ridiculed by so many, to get such admiration from a formidable lady like Olenna was a rare moment, and you could see how much it meant to her.
I love how several characters from Game Of Thrones speak! But this is a really badass old woman xDDD. She is basically the female version from Tywin Lannister in Game of thrones! Both of them speak in a really badass way!
Olenna and Tywin trading barbs in the afterlife.
Olenna wins by saying "At least I didn't die on a toilet." :)
MisterTutor2010 Even in death she keeps delivering burns. Quite contrary to the cold touch of death...Yeah. She would like that. Not even the cold touch of death can withstand the burns delivered by The Queen of Thorns!
True, if those two were a team, I wouldn't envy whoever stands in their way.
Contrary to popular opinion, it turned out Tywin Lannister did not in fact shit gold
OOOOOOOOH! LMAO 😂😆
"Olenna and Tywin trading barbs in the afterlife"
that's the GoT spin off I want to see.
"A sword swallower through and through" ended me HAHAHA
Same!!! Haha
Lmao!!
Lulz!!!
Oh my god XD
Here here !!!!
The poison didn't kill her. She faked her death and went to Braavos where she now has a new boy toy every night and has little tarts fetching figs for her. This is what I choose to believe!!
I shall also share your view! Long live the Queen of Sass and Thorns.
Brandon P THIS IS CANNON
If you do not see someone dying on screen, the person is still alive. It's a fact.
It is known.
Maybe she's immune to poisons as she is the queen of thorns.
She may not have had that much screen time but she owned every second of what she did have! Absolute legend
She actually have a lot of screen time.s3 e2 - s7 e3 she have 1hrs30mins screentime.
RIP....Rest in POWER, Lady Olenna!
klausweasley nice 👍🏻
We didnt see her die yet.
She might just have an antidote in some closet that she will take after jaimy leaves the room.
We'll see if shes really dead in a few hours :)
klausweasley Preach!!
Even if she has a antidote she can't sneak out of high garden with all the Lannister soldiers guarding the place
No. we did, that extended focus on her at the end of the episode was her dying.
She looked like she really had fun in that role.
If I have half the sass she does, I'll be one happy old lady. 😎
*Manic Pixie Fangirl * Shame she died!
So would I, but sass doesn't come to me naturally. It's quite unfortunate, I know.
*Manic Pixie Fangirl * too bad you're a dude
My Grandmother was the twin of Olenna. She’d just literally tell you how it was....😂
no
I wish she'd interacted with every single character on the show, and sass them all out to seven hells and back. Diana Rigg was such a delight to watch as Olenna, and her interacting with other talented actors on the show would've been great to behold. Anyway, I will keep on believing she survived with an antidote she'd kept at the ready in the room, and escaped soon after, even if we don't see her on the show anymore.
I was hoping she would survive for one scene at least with Jon and Davos.
I agree. I would have liked to see her meeting Sansa again and give her some more advice but also to aknowledge how much she has changed since their first meeting.
I really hope she found some way to avoid death since we never really see her die which is very unusual for Game of Thrones and is secretly plotting her true revenge.
A bezoar perhaps? Nice profile picture by the way.
+Mary Barr Well now that you mention it, I think I saw her slipping something small under her dress, probably was a bezoar. And thanks, yours is nice too. :)
We can only hope she lives. :)
Lady Olenna and Tywin's conversations are pure gold.
We still have Lyanna Mormont and she is 7.
Imagine her with 70.
Pyrphoros Yessss!
She wont get to be 70 cause she would have to fight in wars and would eventually fall
Pyrphoros OMG 😂😂😂
'Yes all Lannisters are lions and when a Tyrell farts, it smells like a rose"
Hahahahahahah
Even when shes dead she still pisses cersei off..... what a legend
What a great actress!
LOL "He's a sword swallower"
Never knew she said that ha
I never noticed until now either, she was the best.
Not only the script is amazing, but Diana Rigg delivers her lines brilliantly!
You need both, but the end result was definitely worth it.
She's still alive. She knew Jamie wouldn't kill her violently and would use poison. She already had an antidote and we actually never see her die
TSSF what antidote.. she doesn't even know which poison she drank.
Luka0708 She could have used a bezoar
Yes yes that's what I thought
Brandon Goodman yeah gonna have to disagree with that
so she's alive...then what? She just walks out of the now Lannister controlled castle?
You sir, are an eejit
They don't call her the queen of thorns for nothing. RIP
LTC cherno m
tahsin m ?
"The cheese will be served when I want the cheese served, and I want the cheese served now!"
Woman after my own heart
"What happens when the non existent bumps against the decrepit? Question for the philosophers"
gotta love how Varys looked down after she said that line.
SillyThingsMe
🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭😅
Fire and Blood!
Oh no no seduce me away its been so long
Can someone explain to me wth that means ?
That's almost all the scenes she ever appeared on in the show.. what a sharply written character and what an amazing actor to leave such an impression behind. She owned her death scene
She's so savage! I'd like to see a spin-off show of her locked in a room with Lyanna Mormont, The Hound, Bronn and Tyrion and listen to all their sarcastic quips and sassy one-liners for hours. It would be entitled "Game of Sass"
Adam Fitzpatrick Hey, Hodor has a one line he could share too, for hours & hours no less
dafttool of course. How could I forget Hodor, the King of sass?
With Varys and little finger it would be gold
Jaime: "There are always lessons in failures" Ollena: "yes, you must be very wise by now"
I forgot about the sword swallower line, laughed way to long at that
Almost a good as "he can't be a great swordsman, he's been stabbing Renly Baratheon for years and he still hasn't died"
Right. Gotta LOVE all those gay jokes.
@@adammacleod925 yup. They are amazing
"A sword swallower thru and thru"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
HELLOOO Why does every Olenna list exclude the "You are not the Queen, Margaery is the queen" scene
Because she makes a crack at the Lannisters' incest. How's your head?
And the OH SHIT look on Mace's face as he turns to Cersei and Jaime is PRICELESS!! Love that scene! - and Stannis for sharing the secret with entire kingdom
My favorite was when she asked Tywin if he ver experimented with other boys as a squire and acted super surprised when he said no
Dame Diana Riggs passed away today. I loved her portrayal of Lady Olenna Tyrell. R.I.P.
We'll definitely miss her!!!!!
maybe she knew that Jamie would use poison so she could have used an antidote. But idk
She is amazing. She knows Jaime will have mercy on her because it's in his nature. Then she proceeded to say something to Jaime that'll get him pissed off enough to get him to leave the room so that he never actually sees her die. She takes the antidote. She's one sly fox 😏
ALL HAIL THE QUEEN OF THORN
Nah she died. She loved her family and when they were all blown up she had nothing left to live for.
Me: RIP Lady Ol...
Lady Olena: Oh shut up I'm trying to sleep!
And the famous tart queen Cersei , my favourite line
You could cut the estrogen with a knife.
"He really was a cunt, wasn't he?" LMAO love her
I find it stunning what a great pick Diana Rigg and Natalie Dormer are for acting two relatives. They resemble each other well in certain expressions, like smile, at least for my eye.
Vares: You've taken an interest in Sansa Stark
Olena: Why shouldn't I? She's an interesting girl
Vares: Is she?
Olena: No not particularly
First scene = Typical Caribbean Mother
So true!!!
Lmao 😂😂😂
jo sam Same here!
Bruh 😂
jo sam true lol
I love her just for the fact that she killed Joffrey, i take it as revenge for Ned Stark's death. Go Olenna!!
You cut off the "sword swallower" comment too soon. Should have left it until she said what she did about brothers and sisters!
I can't be the only one that's watched this about 100 times already just for the sick burn 2 seconds in!! 😂
Rest in Paradise Diana Rigg. Thank you for giving justice to the character Olenna Tyrell.
Aren't all her moments just sass-filled? 😂💗
Gonna miss Lady Olenna! Diana Rigg is superb! Nice seeing her again! I remember her from the "Avengers"!☺
We will miss you Lady Savage
Hers was the only death I was not angry about or crying over - she was simply as badass as she had been throughout all seasons. Awesome female character.
RIP! Thank you for your contribution to the series. Wouldn't have been the same without her!🙏🙏
god I love Olenna's death scene. she takes the poison, knowing from that moment she's beyond being tortured or humiliated, she spills the beans. you may take her castle and her lands, she may leave your lands untouched, but she will rip your entire world asunder and leave nothing but an empty void.

MY FAV COMMENT
Mark Arandjus
This comment deserves more attention
This was all great, but nothing beats that last scene of hers! UGH! THAT is the way to go!!! SAVAGE and so satisfying!!!
I love her! She reminds me of my grandma 😂
Grandma's don't give two shits anymore that's why they can do that XD
Jake Shattuck xv
Jorie Thomas fh
I need to meet her and make her my BFF lol
margaery: i must be cursed
olenna: NONSENSE!
you can tell how much she loves margaery by how she said "nonsense"
Lady Olenna was a political "veteran" of sorts and an absolute delight on the show. Always sharp as a dagger and just about unshakeable in everything she did; a truly formidable player in the game of thrones, without ever losing that hint of 'old grandma'.
Can I even continue watching the show...
No. Bleaches don't watch shows
Yes you clean blood.
I may not be a sword swallower, but I do love bleach. Care for a trip down my throat? Or in my eyes? The show jumped the shark for me and I need something to help me get over it. You in?

Solytix She took it willingly, her family was gone, she had nothing to live for.
Lady Olenna's sassiest moments are EVERY MOMENT she's on the show. Hoped there was more of her on the show.
Everyone should have a grandma, or at least an old Aunt like Olenna. Can you imagine Olenna at the Thanksgiving table??!! Lol
Man, the westeros hospitals must have been busy... cause the Queen of Thorns keeps sending all these people to the burn unit 😂
i always loved the line " now i shoulld eat some of this food i paid for" and " The cheese will be served when i say it will be served"
RIP to the great Dame Diana Rigg. All respect!! Hail, Great One!
She lived like a boss and died like a boss.
"What happens when the nonexistent bumps along the decrepit?" 😂 😂 😂
Yolanda Perez my all time favorite! Haaaaa🤣🤣🤣🤣
They did a great job of capturing her essence from the books
I loved Olenna from day 1!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
She's my Gramma (not in real life, but in my heart)!!!
"When a tyrell farts , it smells like a rose" 😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂
"The non-existent bumps against the decrepit." Oh. My. Fucking. GOD. I missed that back when i saw that episode.
Diana Rigg did a great job performing Lady Olenna, both the character and the actress are wonderful. I'm a big fan.
I love the harmony when she says"tell Cersi it was me"... fabulous. She is a character who will be missed. I hope Jamie is roasted by the dragon!
Does this give tyrion and Jaime a chance to rekindle the brotherly bond they had and maybe he will betray cersei and join the battle for the dawn
elizabitty213 i was thinking the same thing
Albagaga fair enough so then maybe this lil exchange between ollena and Jaime talking about how bad cersei is ya know olenna is basically telling all at this moment because she knows that's it and she chooses to say two things that she killed Joffrey and cersei is a monster...it def impacted Jaime I think 💭 to send him either to his death or the other side hopefully it's the latter because he's my favorite

elizabitty213 Oh yes her words about Cersei rang in his ears for a LONG time. Even when he was back outside with Bronn.
So with this series we saw Charles dance and Diana Rigg in same frame. Oh the blessing!!
She was awesome. She delivered lines like Ser Arthur Dayne swung swords.
her last scene was her best. RIP Lady Olenna...I wish I had half as much sass as you did.
Lady Olenna's sassiest moments = EVERY SCENE SHE WAS IN
All of Lady Olennas' moments are my favorite. She definitely made this tv series filled with great comeback lines. Tyrion is up there too.
The Tyrells were all great. I'm incredibly sad they're all gone
Diana Rigg - Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (DBE). 😘
Olenna Tyrell died like THE BOSS! Long Live The Queen of Thorns!
My favourite scene was the first time she met Brienne of Tarth, her reaction was priceless!
"A sword swallower" is one of the best euphemism I've ever heard. It makes liking d*** sound incredibly badass XD.
😂
"A sword swallower through and through" Oh my shit I forgot about that one! At least she was open minded...I think
Never realised she was one of my favourite characters.
I loved the look on Jaime's face when Olena admitted she was the one who killed Joffrey.
Tells you how good of an actor he is when he can fake the look of someone screaming internally. XD
"I have known a lot of clever men! I outlived them all! How? By not listening to them!"
If she could ever be in an "Epic Rap Battle"... DAMN!
'What happens when the non-existent bumps against the decrepit? A question for the philosophers.'
The musing of the whole series.
*Right on, sister, "Let the grown women speak"...*
Well done. Nice that you put eps and titles, because these zingers are each part of an entire kickass scene that should be found and enjoyed.
They really did Olenna's death well. As much as I hate to see her go, her house is already extinct the moment the other Tyrells died. Still, the way she just stares at Jaime after telling him that she was the one who killed Joffrey was staggering.
In everything she has been in she has always stole the spotlight and it is truly truly sad to see her go.
RIP you will be missed by all
Number one is when she wiped the floor with cersei when she told her at the end what is left to work with!
the most badass queen in game of thrones :D
How often does someone get to die with "I killed your brat" as their last words?
So good.
Please. That poison is kiddy stuff when compared to the venom that woman had.
Gotta love the Queen of Thornes, but it's still amazing how Varys manages to wrap her arround his finger in less than 5 minutes in that scene.
RIP Dame Diana Riggs. Sassy right until the end indeed.
I love how even olenna cannot take the sand snakes seriously
Her spirit live on in The North. Lady Mormont spitting nothing but hot fire.
Grandma Shade goes out with a sassy bang!
"tell Cersi I want her to know it was me" - that line man :>
I love how several characters from Game Of Thrones speak! But this is a really badass old woman xDDD. She is basically the female version from Tywin Lannister in Game of thrones! Both of them speak in a really badass way!
