      The seats contain airbags, and since we are removing the seats we need to unplug the airbag connector. It is just a precaution for everyone that you should not play around with airbags.

    Hallo, ik heb een audi tt gekocht zonder elektrische zetels en ben van plan om ze om te wisselen met elektrische zetels. heb je iets speciaals nodig of is het gewoon plug and play?

    • @jtscustomsNL
      @jtscustomsNL  3 года назад

      Heyy, goede keuze! Dat zou eventueel kunnen. Wat je eerst zou moeten controleren is of er onder de stoel een stekker aanwezig is. In mijn geval waren de stoelen elektrisch verstelbaar in de lendensteun, maar verder was alles handmatig. Doordat er al elektronica in de stoel zat was het bij mij plug en play, ik weet helaas niet precies hoe het bij een tt zit maar ik kan me voorstellen dat het gelijk is.

    Very nice. Now you need to clean the seats. Your job was not that dificult, more or less plug&play. I’ve made also a retrofit of interior seats from fabric to leather, but I had a lot of blocking points: UK donor car, wrong airbag connector and missing some brackets specific for avant cars... 😂

    Where does the airbag risk come from? Is it the seats or the side pannels

    • @jtscustomsNL
      @jtscustomsNL  4 месяца назад

      Its the seat airbags, when handling the airbag connectors it could be possible that some static electricity triggers them. Thats why we first touch some ground.
