The DJI Mic 2 makes using wireless audio a dream as well! Put industrial velcro on the inside od the helmet and on the Mic 2 transmitter, set gain to -12 and never need wires for audio!
I don’t understand, where you want to put transmitter ? In helmet ? Outside of helmet ? If you put it to camera directly, side of transmitter will be in your vision … or what you talking about ? Connect by cable transmitter and fix it in helmet with mic ?
@@Ebenezum13 you have various options with the dji mic. you can plug the receiver into the camera (it's sideways and will not reduce you sight with a helmet mount, I have used it that way myself before I switched the new newer DJI Mic 2), and put the transmitter in your pocket with a lavalier into the helmet for example. If you dont want the receiver to add you your camera size/weight you can also just use a usb c cable and put the receiver unit in your pocket as well. works like a charm, too. the best thing DJI did was to releasse the DJI Mic 2. these transmitters can connect to the Action 4 wireless on their own. Great video Terry. The action 4 is definitely the way to go now. The hero 12 just doesn’t cut it anymore. Plus as you said if you have dji mic 2 is a wireless mic so no need for cables coming from the camera. Love the bike and it sounds so perfect.
Nice New Bike !!!!!......Terry , Also nice Camera Package.......That was a great experience riding with you through the Camera, like a Tom Cruise Mission Impossible Motorcycle Scene , Great Filming !!!!!...........Be Safe out on those Roads.....
Enjoyed the video and review. Lost my GoPro whilst riding in Namibia (and all my 2 weeks of footage). Anyway - I may buy this Action4. Chin Mount is a problem on my enduro helmet - anyway I subscribed to channel - enjoy the sports bike footage
Nice Video! I like your Setup i looked for something like that to replace my Hero 7, it does not great on my Bike. Just that magnetic Holder... man i Love it, i think i will get an Action 4. Thanks for that Video, keep up that great work! Greetings from Germany, Ride Safe!
Mounted to your helmet stabilization will work well including horizon leveling. If you mount it to your motorcycle, car or boat, the engine vibration seems to affect the gyroscopes. DJI literally told me to turn off stabilization. Here’s my experience with a boat ruclips.net/video/gEuXfDJ5Wwk/видео.htmlsi=QZoAzr3cuOCbyqh0
I have the action 4 and the DJI mic 2 - just wish the sound was better. I've had a motorcycle for forever and am just starting to think of video ideas for it - but I really need the sound to be better and not so muffled. I've seen other vides whose sound was good. Not sure what the difference is though since you're using the same setup - almost - theirs was a wireless setup and they used magnetic tape and just put the mic right inside the helmet - I'm gonna have to experiment.
can you link which j connector you have specifically? i bought the chin mounts bracket as well and was wondering how tf i was suppose to connect my camera to it but i cant find any j connectors on amazon, at least not one that comes alone, they mainly come as a package deal and the connectors always go with THAT SPECIFIC setup they arent for chin mounts specifically :/
Man, you should get an external recorder like a Zoom H1n with a wind muff and put it under the pillion seat. Then just sync the audio from it to the one from the camera... The Zoom H1n also allows gain control so do some tests. To sync the audio: before you go, start both the recorder and the camera, then honk three times so you can see them spikes in the audio file in your editor on both camera and recorder. I had a ZX6R as my first motorcycle from 2008 to 2013... it was an 2000 model! Loved that bike!
I've tried many different combinations of ND filters and manual exposures just to realize and accept that the recommended 1/(fps*2) just doesn't work satisfyingly for moto vlogging. Fast movement and micro jitters while riding cause very irritating and ugly jittering and regular artefacts in the final video simply because the stabilizer needs a certain FPS to work properly. You can spot these near the sky or the power lines throughout the test video. It turned out you need at least 1/150 to 1/200 to completely get rid off this jitter, which makes finding a proper ND/ISO balance very hard. Personally I sacrificed the nice blur for jitter free videos for now until I find a satisfying solution. Other than that, I love using the new DJI MIc 2 due to the wireless connection feature, keeping the camera completely closed and water proof. Just pity you can only connect one transmitter this way... if I ever want to use an additional lavalier in the helmet I'll probably have to put the receiver back on.
Hi! I have the same camera and i am using it for motovlogging too! I can see that on my footage on high speeds I have the EIS issue and the footage is little shaky and on your video aren't! My settings are exactly the same as yours! The only thing that is different is the ISO, your is locked to 100, mine is 100/1600! Do you think that this may couse the problem? P.S. Great video !!
Yes. If you dont set your iso to a particular value, the camera will always try to compensate and keep changing its values and on action cameras that created an issue with the stabilisation. If youre using the manual shutter speed, then also keep iso manual as well.
Bro, that Chin Mount is 3D Printed Plastic. It's the definition of "Cheap" .. cost them $0.35 to print, and they sell them for $35. (Personally own Three 3D Printers.. I've printed my own mounts)
Man great video, i read in more video tutorial, this: "the motion blur effect dont work if the rokstady stabilization are ON" with osmo action3, its true or not?
Gopro: best , have everything but stability depends on luck. DJI :men, if the dev can make all its functions stable or have all the features that gopro has then i don't hesitate to say dji is the best dji they killed a product right from launch, features are still broken, people complain, Mods be like: "inbox me and i will send you a patch." like wtf, your products are broken and you only send the patch to single person in a private message?
So much ghosting and jitters at this shutter speed. Gotta make it at least 1/200 if you want electronic stabilization to work properly without ghosting and jitters.
Question on the shutter speed…I noticed you kept the shutter speed to 1/60 and I didn’t notice any jitters…I’ve seen videos where people claim that rocksteady doesn’t work well with ND filters at lower shutter speeds…did you do any stabilization in post?

Hi, on the video we can see that it is jittering a little but my videos are jittering A LOT. How can you have such a good video with such a low shutter speed, with RS on and ND filter ?? I dont get it, i am trying various settings and it is still not working.
Can someone answer honestly. Which is better video quality... Insta 360 one Rs with Leica 1 inch lense or DJI action 4.....opinions please. I just launched my channel with a GP7 😂 both these are mentioned cams are up second hand nearby... Ive no idea what best. Thanks 🙏 *CrapGame* 🎉
The problem with the action cameras is that their stabilization is digital. That means it will not work well until the image is very sharp (between frames), and to be sharp you need a high shutter speed, for this camera you would need at least 1/200, and if you have this shutter speed you will lose the cinematic effect. If you want cinematic effect, you will need to turn rocksteady off(OR MOUNT A GIMBAL to the moto) to keep that 1/60 shutter speed. The powerlines, the cars are ghosting like crazy each time the camera tries to stabilize and it looks awful. Just pick one, the cinematic effect and 1/60 shutter speed, and the nd filter OR the stabilization and none of these.
Man I wouldn't worry about no wires and stuff when you got the dji mic too. Best part is the wireless use of it. Screw them wires! I just ordered a whole kit for myself. Can't wait!

Purchased one recently, came back to this video to say that this camera is actually fabulous. 10/10
