You're right about the Periphery mix sounding crappy imo. It's digitally nip-tucked too much. The Haunted Shores audio quality isn't as polished, but it has better sonic balance. Periph mix sounds like it's being played in a tunnel, drums and guitars are missing the punch and life that this mix has. Most of all, the snare drum in the Periph mix is annoyingly loud and has way too much reverb, especially during the blast beat in verse 2, it drowns everything else out.
