      Because it's a.c current due to change of magnetic field current induced in the circuit

      If we rotate that will give electricity
      Or
      If we give electric supply . that will rotate .....

      But that LED also works when u rotating anti clock wise direction. Better u connect diodes in front of diods. It prevents reverse bios led. Any ur explanation is very good
