good explanation sir, but small correction never improve the p.f from lagging to unity by capcitor bank in inductive load otherwise improve near(0.90 to 0.99) not unity.Because naturally vast majarity of inductive load consume reactive power. we slightly controle this power but not completely.so never come sine wave from out of phase to inphase at inductive load, some angle deviation is exist in p.f correction by capacitor.

Sir i have 905 Kva transformer running 24 by 7 i am having induction furnace when i run production power factor is maintained , but when i dont on the furnace my power factor drops . when i dont run the furnace i switch on 17 kvar capacitor every day it drops by 0.04. when i on the furnace i switch on 75 kvar capacitor and 30 kvar apfc pf is maintained . every month on the last day when eb resets pf to 100 within an hour it drops to 40 eventough 17 kvar is on please advise as now there is curfew
