You could contact a local zoo and ask the zoo keepers if they’d offer some of your grubs to their bears. The only cost would be mailing them a bag of grubs.

@@fullcirclebio Thanks for your prumpt reply. Could you please be more specific: how much in each batch? for how long? how powerfull is your microwave? etc

@@EH-ks8ol I use three microwaves, and they're all different powers. I put a couple handfuls in a dish and microwave for 5 min at a time. They're done when they pop like popcorn and smell toasted. They can burn though.

My last online order claimed fraud and hit me with a chargeback. There was no fraud -- it was confirmed with the customer. I was so ticked off that I took the store down.
Not only do they take the money back out of my account, I also get a $15 fee. Multiply ticked off. So, I'm taking a break from online sales.

@@fullcirclebio OMG! Crap what the person did... Even worse what the payment processor did.
Sorry to hear that... Wish I had a solution but I don't...
Idk if pay with Amazon, stripe, or anything else is less bad... Which processor were you using?

@@l0gic23 Payments are all handled through my web platform - Wix. I have no options of recourse. To sum it all up: I received the initial order and it went out the next day. Done. On to the next task. Then a month later I received a notification that there was a chargeback placed on the order. Reason: fraud/card not present. That’s a weird reason for a purchase of dried larvae. Who fraudulently purchases larvae with someone else’s card? I emailed the customer asking about any issue with the order. They responded that they indeed received the order and their birds love the product. However my statement identifier on their monthly statement didn’t have my business information- as it should have - and ID’d the transaction as a web hosting company. Not a true representation of my business at all. (Also a disclaimer on the Wix website: although you may try to change your statement ID line, the bank may display it incorrectly or not at all.)
The customer did end up righting the chargeback by repaying for the order and then also paying for the chargeback later. I had asked if they could drop the chargeback but they chose not to for unknown reasons. But the ease that a small business can be taken advantage of is infuriating. I had the option to dispute the chargeback, which I attempted and filed all the documents, including a letter to state my case. My dispute was denied. So the bank gets $15 from me for saying no, the customer’s initial claim still stands. What?
I’ve considered making a video not about larvae farming but about the trials and tribulations of small business. Moreso as a cathartic vent session for me. And don’t get me started on credit card processing fees…

@@fullcirclebio thanks for sharing your story. I think many of us are also interested in the business side of things...
Does wix not let you use any other payment processor?
Well color me influenced not to bother with wix if I ever launch anything...

I'm not sure if any other platform offers that option. And it really goes back to the customer's bank when they so easily handed them their money back for a reason that made zero sense in the situation.
If you are really interested in receiving some dried larvae, you can email me and we can go from there.

Well, you'll just have to feed them some peppers then eat a couple of them. You'll let us know how that goes!? lol

I think some day I will try them, but because I know how the sausage is made, and I would change a few preparation techniques before I'd eat them.
