- A JOURNEY IN TIME ALONG THE GREAT WESTERN MAIN LINE FROM TEMPLE MEADS TO YATTON JUNCTION. ON THE WAY WE WILL PASS PYLLE HILL GOODS DEPOT, BEDMINSTER STATION, MALAGO VALE CARRIAGE SIDINGS, PARSON STREET STATION, BRISTOL WEST DEPOT, FLAX BOURTON STATION, TYNTESFIELD SIDINGS AND NAILSEA & BACKWELL STATION.
Enjoyed that, takes me back. Especially the photos of Yatton, spent plenty of time there.
Fantastic, I’m from Bristol and found this very interesting
Glad you enjoyed it. Regards Dave.
What a great film, I enjoyed identifying the Bedminster parts especially! What a find, thanks.
Hello Phil. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards Dave.
What no shots of Long Ashton station?
Not even that awful one with the bypass viaduct supports unceremoniously plonked on each platform?
Nevertheless, thank you very much for the photos of Flax Bourton station especially.
I used to cycle over that bridge every morning on my paper round and always wanted to know what it looked like.
Also might have clambered over the fuel tanks once or twice.
Shh! Don't tell the enemy!
Another fine set of photos Dave ! Loved the semaphores at Bedminster. Thanks.
Many thanks
Well done - superb. I worked in some of those places for a time.
Many thanks. Regards Dave.
How fascinating, and rather poignant, particularly Flax Bourton station, how well kept it looked in the picture with the Hall (or Grange) passing through
Great shame these little stations have disappeared.
Hope you have something featuring Weston-super-Mare?
Hello Mike. Will be coming in the future. Regards Dave.
