Programming a proximity key to a 2020 Ford F150 (with active alarm!) | AutoProPAD G2

In today's episode, Tyler uses the new AutoProPAD G2 to program a proximity key to a 2020 Ford F150 with an active alarm!
This software isn't purely exclusive to the G2 and should work the same with older AutoProPAD units, we just wanted to show the new machine in action!
(The AutoProPAD Lite has not been tested yet. The VCI would theoretically need to be backpowered to keep connected when the battery is pulled but it's not known if it would interfere with anything otherwise)

Why do you have to disconnect the vehicle battery ? Is just a requirement of the autopropad? I’ve done a lost keys in a mustang 2018 with alarm activate and I didn’t disconnect the battery with smartbox

For some of the 2019/2020 models, they've done away with the ability to simply wait the 10 minutes and require the AutoProPAD to force it into programming mode as shown here with the battery disconnect.

Suggestion: Turn Bluetooth off and connect USB cable ....certain functions on many programmers require to be Hard-wired to complete the task

Last I checked you can add a key if you have a key already programmed. If you don't have that key then you have to erase the old key(s) to program a new key to add a second one. So to add a second key, you must have a key already programmed.

There are two diffrent frequencies for this one. You will need to verify what one it needs using the vin.
