Hey. I have tested the auto detect walk and it is not going including the first 10 minutes. You said it does in the video. Is there another setting besides auto detect? Thanks.
strange. on mine it does 🤔 It starts after 10 minutes of walking but also shows the walk in the first 10 minutes in the activity (just doesnt display the walking screen on the watch for the first 10 minutes)
Hello, I'm new to the Garmin world and enjoying the Venu thus far! I've noticed that with the default 'wear on left' the buttons are oriented towards your hand/wrist bone, which can result in accidental presses when weight training with gloves on, etc. I think I might have seen somewhere that other watches in the Garmin line allow for an orientation adjustment- essentially flipping the watchface 180 degrees and placing the buttons on the elbow side (like the default for a right wrist wearer). Is this possible on the Venu, and if so, how?? Thanks!
Here are some Venu 3 exclusives: - More battery life (14 days instead of 9) - Better HR sensor - Better GPS (with the multi-GNSS chip) - It can track more activities - Nap tracking and sleep coach
If im mtn biking , i know i can track everything and it will show where you rode but if my phone is dead can i use watch to get back home ? Will it show myself my highlighted route on the watch without my phone ?
You can put komoot on the watch and download routes to the watch. And it will show you the route similar like on your phone and also record the activity meanwhile.
Hello there. One question. If I have my Garmin Edge 530 and I want to upload the data from the sensors of my bike to my smartwatch can I do it with Garmin Venu 3? Garmin Edge 530 works with Garmin Connect app in my phone, so I guess that a Garmin smartwatch has to have this functionality as well? I mean I want to upload this data to Strava and also my smartwatch as well. Thank you so much
Does it auto detect cycling? I cycle every day and my old Venu 2 didn't track or record unless I did it manually. It did it for walking and when going into the app was aware of when I had cycled but didn't track or log it as an exercise?
@@JonnekeRoepers from what I saw no, I got a Fitbit instead which does auto track cycling but tbh is no where near as good of a fitness tracker as my Garmin was. I'm definitely going back to Garmin
Ive never used the golf activity but when I try to use it, my watch says I have to download the Garmin Golf app to download courses. So, I can't answer your question but maybe doing more research about the Garmin Golf app could answer your question.
From what Ive seen, a lot of them do. This watch for example (The Venu 3) has it. I also know the Vevoactive 5 along with the Forerunner watches have it.
They are all very different watches. Forerunner 965 puts exercise first (especially running), the Venu 3 puts more health and smartwatch features first (but still with lots of exercise capability) and as for the aw 9, I don't know much about it.
Hi I was wondering if with the Venu 3 you can add custom activities to the watch face using the connect app and how you would do this? Can’t seem to find a video on it anywhere
I just saw deezer, amazon music, spotify, youtube music, locally stored musik and it also can just be a remote to whatever is playing on your phone (displaying the song, pausing/playing, volume, ...)
I love the Garmin. I'm having the most trouble figuring what to use for my beach body workouts. Most of my workouts have cardio, lifting, and some type of aerobics. The Venu 3 won't let me create a custom workout and send it.
Will have to return garmin venu 3 watch because voice assistant not working with vivo x100 ultra. In addition, why while I am walking or jogging there is no way to see what the time is ?!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never tried it, it shows the call on the watch, you can accept it from there but I always accept it from my phone because I dont want to talk in my watch as I think its just strange xD I mean it has speakers (you can play music on the watch) and a Microphone (you can use google assistant over the watch on your phone and it will answer on the watch) so it probably will just let you have the call via the watch kinda like a bluetooth headset. But idk, never tried it I just use my phone to accept it after I see it on the watch xD
Regarding garmin pay. I don't see the venu 3 (I have the 3s) having garmin pay at all. The wallet icon doesn't exist on the venu 3 apparently. Pretty dumb considering the price.
@ absolutely I mean it has a constant heart rate sensor monitor ‘ unlike Apple’s watch and the battery on the Garmin watches last a lot longer. Those are just two great features.
I super hate that you cant use voice commands to do something as simple as set a timer using voice commands and then the timer coming up on the watches screen. Even the Fitbit Sense 1 is capable of this very basic feature. Also cant add Amex to Garmin pay. Prettier than a Fitbit for sure though for what thats worth

I'm just diving into the Garmin smartwatch universe for the first time. Can anyone tell me why this watch allows Android users to reply to texts with quick replies, but not iphone users? Is it something that a future software update might solve, or is it Apple being annoying and saying they will only allow iphone users to do that with an Apple watch?
The latter. There will never be any firmware update on a Garmin or any other watches allowing iPhone users to use anything other than an Apple watch for that functionality. Just the way their closed ecosystem works.
@@Viperr101 Likely they don;t have the talent to program these things. They can't even get voice input on this watch. Something that could extend battery life since i'm not loitering over my watch screen trying to type on a T9 keyboard.
Can someone explain why Venu 3 is so expensive? Compared to Samsung Galaxy 6 classic 47mm? The Venu 3 feels and looks very cheap (I had the white version in my hands), no premium look you could expect for this price. Also, the buttons are much worse than in Samsung - small, shaky, not properly responsive. The screen is protruding above the surface which means it will have scratches very quickly. Venu 3 does not feature body composition, snore detection, ECG, text-to-speech reminders. Battery life is great, right, but the price cannot be that high only because of this. If it cost 100EUR less, probably it could be an option and alternative for the GW6.
The SQ was a "Lite" version of the Venu watch line up so that's why the price is much lower. The Venu 3 has almost all of Garmin's newest health, sleep, and smart watch features. For example the Venu 3 has a mic for a voice assistant and taking calls, sleep coach and nap tracking, and more sensors like an altimeter.
