Hi. I'll be in Costa Rica and Guatemala next April. I would like to do this trek but everybody in your video (and the other videos I've seen) are under 40. I'm 61. I'm not in bad shape but I'm not an athlete. But even though it's over 20km a day it looks like the only part uphill is when you are actually on the pyramids. Do you think my age would be a problem? Also, I was surprised to see you in a tank top and people in shorts. Are there no mosquitos?

I'm planning to do it in March and I'm in my 50s. Judging by what I've read and seen it doesn't look toooooo hard :)

Hi there, there are mosquitos, but we used repellent. It's very very very hot and humid. The trail has some uphill parts but not a lot. I think if you hike regularly and are an active person you should be fine. I hope you have a great time!!

I am 73 and 24km would be doable over 5 hours or so. So if you get the chance, go, if you don’t you will wish you did.
