Modi govt took a visionary step from the year 2015 and implemented one short one year course in our institute namely "Surya Mitra" to train young work force who can have the expertise to install and maintain solar system. The course was dedicated to build a workforce which will be needed in coming year when all over the world expert workers demand will suddenly rise.

0:01: ⚡ India is working towards decreasing its energy dependence on the Middle East and becoming a key energy supplier through the International Solar Alliance.
5:20: 🌍 The world economy heavily relies on fossil fuels for energy consumption, leading to carbon emissions and climate change concerns. Countries are setting zero carbon targets to transition to renewable energy sources.
6:51: ☀ Solar energy is expected to dominate as a renewable energy source due to falling costs, scalability, and abundance of sunlight.
9:39: 🌞 India's advantage in solar energy potential and low cost of electricity production is driving the international solar alliance.
12:55: 💡 The International Solar Alliance (ISA) aims to provide financing, infrastructure, and training to member countries to promote solar energy.
15:52: 🌞 The International Solar Alliance (ISA) aims to promote solar energy and entrepreneurship in India and other countries, with the potential to make India energy independent.

India has the potential to become the energy capital of the world:
    1. We have abundant solar and wind resources, which can be used to generate renewable energy. In fact, India is already the world's fourth-largest producer of solar energy and the fifth-largest producer of wind energy.
    2. Our economy is growing rapidly, which is creating a demand for energy. This demand is being met by a mix of fossil fuels and renewable energy, but the share of renewable energy is increasing.
    3. We have a large and skilled workforce, which is well-suited to the renewable energy sector. This workforce can help to develop and deploy renewable energy technologies, as well as operate and maintain renewable energy projects.
    4. The Indian government is supportive of the development of renewable energy. The government has set ambitious targets for renewable energy deployment, and it has provided financial and regulatory support for the sector.

The reason I made the comment was a little deeper. They also did a study on if there was any adoption of the Star 30 scheme for the past 8 years. If Government consultants were all great the initiative would not have been stuck for such a long time. They also need to take in charge of adoption rather than just announcing a great looking scheme as results come only with adoption.

I was in Turkish village and saw many villages use solar on top of each rooftop ten years back.
India doesn’t fall in high sunlight zone but due to cheaper labor and highly tax incentives is able to produce a subsidized solar panel. If we internally produce enough for our own national grid, it would be a great achievement.
We can also tap great wind energy on our long coastline.
About international alliance is just to get most countries get to buy from made in India rather their own dependence on China . It’s not about global grid, that’s not going to ever happen in next 30-50 years.

Honestly speaking, there is nothing to be proud of being Indian. I mean what's there to be proud about a nation which has a low gdp per capita, hdi rank of 130, low rank in innovation and competitiveness, high corruption, weak passport, disunity, religious disharmony, brain drain and many other never ending problems. In reality, people will truly feel proud of their country if it gives them economic prosperity and top quality life. Culture, history and all that crap are secondary and don't pay the bills. The overproud Indians who brag all over the internet of being proud of being Indian will dash out of India faster than light if they get a foreign visa. Talking about the army, most people join the army and other govt departments just to make money and get benefits, not out of patriotism. Moreover, every rational person knows that India will never be a developed country in it's lifetime. The country has too many problems to comprehend. There is no point of feeling proud of a country which will never become an advanced economy with a high standard of living either. Feeling proud of a country with a bleak future is just insanity. Despite that, many Indians want to brag and boast about India's greatness. Smh

    • @ujjwal2473
      @ujjwal2473 Год назад +16

Nuclear energy is very expensive as it can only be afforded by governments, and it takes a lot of time to build nuclear reactors. Also due to geopolitics over Uranium and plutonium supply, supply of nuclear fuel is critical in advent of nuclear energy.
Third, we need to develop small scale nuclear reactors. US has developed it, but I don't think they are willing to share this tech. Even though it is smaller, one large nuclear reactor equivalent of these would take 5-6 years to build.
Countries like Germany have shut down and are against nuclear power.
There are so many challenges that it highly doubted that nuclear energy can be the future of energy supply.
Btw Ganesh did mention about attenuation when he talked about transmission costs.
