Use the right words instead of those which are bad or or avoid the negative ones:
    1. bú shì dōng xi
    不是东西 - You're a jerk!
(You should say “老师是活生生的人” instead. - Teacher, you're a live human being.)
    2. sòng zhōng
    送钟
    To send someone a clock
(Send other gifts to your teacher instead, like cup, pen)
    3. yào fàn
    要饭
To beg (for food or money)
(Should say "你要尝一尝吗" instead in the video. - Do you want to have a taste?)
    4. chǎo yóu yú
    炒鱿鱼
    To fire sb
(Avoid saying this in working time or business - nobody wants to get fired.)
    5. chī ruǎn fàn
    吃软饭
    To live off a woman
(Should say 吃软一点儿的米饭 - eat softer rice)
    6. miàn mù quán fēi
    面目全非
    Nothing remains the same.
(Say 女大十八变,越变越好看 instead - You becomes more and more beautiful.)
    7. chī bù liǎo dōu zhe zǒu
    吃不了兜着走
You'll have to take the consequences.
(Should say “你可以放在兜里以后吃” instead - You can put it in your pocket and eat it later.)
    8. lǜ mào zi
    绿帽子
    Cuckold
(Avoid giving a green color of hat to someone as a gift)

What should you say instead of 吃豆腐?

    • @EverydayChinese

      所以炒鱿鱼和软饭要怎么反应呢?还有绿帽子在中国没人卖吗?

    • @EverydayChinese
      @EverydayChinese  4 года назад +1

      @@ellyana2157 避免在不合适的情况下说炒鱿鱼和吃软饭就行。
      绿帽子在中国也有人卖的,比如小孩儿和青少年等未成年的帽子可能有绿色的。因为我们一般不会笑话未成年戴绿帽子,他们都没有谈恋爱或者结婚。

It's very different! You have managed to make the lessons lively and memorable, that helps a lot. I really enjoy watching your videos, 非常感谢你! Чудесный учитель! Greetings from Russia :)

Everyday Chinese Yes, it’s normal speed for Chinese people speaking with each other, but that’s not the speed you teach a beginner wishing to learn a language. Also, you don’t indicate anywhere in the video or in the title of the video what level of student the video is meant for. If you have the chinese characters on screen, along with the pinyin, why not add the English? 😁
