    Great video John, Thank you. Im always worried that my rider wont shut off for some reason, i guess after my kawi 1000cc screamed at top RpM because my retared friend jammed the end of the throttle cable upside down in the carburetor, i been abit nervous lately with engines :-) . Gonna install a kill switch on every motor i have lol, just so i dont take off running again thinking the engine is going to blow up. A kill switch will put my mind at ease, any engine reving at top rpm can be nev racking specially if its not turning off, a 1000cc is a nightmare in that situation . Lol TY

    I put a whole new wiring harness on a used John deer but when I shut the key off I have to choke it out to shut it off . This is just the ideal I had and wanted to see it done . Thank you for the video.

    I t would be nice to illustrate exactly which terminal to use . If I'm not mistaken there are 3 places where wires come out of the coil.

    Would a mower that won’t shut off with the key be a sign the coil is going bad?

    Kill switch has failed on my Toro TimeMaster 30" mower. I suspect the wire from the coil has become unattached. I had hoped you would have shown the coil exposed and how the wire is attaches to that.

    Can you use a toggle switch 🤔

    • @neverbuyadodge910
      @neverbuyadodge910 2 года назад

      Yes works the same you just have to make sure you turn it off to allow your coil to work .

    A snub nose 38 will kill the engine also.

    *Built well, **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend plugged right into my rider 4500 series. Was short the rubber cap key and was was sent right out in the mail. Just ordered another ignition switch for my 6500 rider.*

    could you not just use the key to turn it off?

      I'm here because my key does not turn off the mower, luckily I have a fuel line valve but my battery is always dead.
