Good video - I had the same issue with the loose wire on the new assembly causing a tight fit. Also my connecter on the new assembly had trouble fitting in to the plug. This was solved by insuring the red locking slide was fully pulled up - I actually heard a little click when it fully opened. The other new assembly for the passenger side also had this issue. I then had no trouble with the install. Last point is that I am a bit miffed at myself that I did not do this sooner. I purchased the new headlight assembly for about $200 - including all bulbs. As a side note - my Volvo dealer wanted $500 installed. Considering I was considering paying $100 to have a body shop try to clean the lens which I have been told doesn't work that well - this was a great deal and the best way to solve the problem.
Thanks, literally hit a deer today and the poor girl destroyed my whole light assembly. Part should be in, in a few days so this makes me more confident i can do this on my own. Hopefully it goes to plan

Awesome news. Yes, I tried cleaning 5he lens too and reached the same conclusion. It doesn't really work.

As far as I know, you can only get that whole assembly as shown in the video. I don’t believe you can get the lenses only.
