Yes, it's Little River Band, but with their original singer Glenn Shorrock. IMO, this track, written by Graeham Goble, is a masterpiece 🙌🙌 If you want a live version, try the band's appearance on the Aussie TV music show GTK from 1975. The camera work is awful, but the performance is absolutely incredible ☺️

Little River Band fans correct me if I'm wrong but the lead singer in this was Glenn Shorrock
Written by Graeham Goble in 1972, the song was inspired by his regular trips from Melbourne to visit his family in Adelaide. The song was initially performed by Goble's earlier band Mississippi, which included three subsequent members of Little River band: Goble, Beeb Birtles and Derek Pellicci. Ric Formosa played lead guitar, Glenn Shorrock sang lead vocals, with Goble and Birtles providing harmonies.

Glen Shorrock was fantastic, John Farnham had similarities was great as an individual performer, but I preferred Glen in the group. Little River Band LRB formed in 1975 this song is LRB’s debut single . LRB formed out of members from other Australian bands so they are regarded as Australian supergroup .
They was also managed by Glenn Wheatley who was John Farnham’s longtime manager from 1980 until Glenn Wheatley passing last year .
LRB had many members coming and going 38 members in total .
The classic line up only lasted 3 of their albums from 1977 to 1979 .
John Farnham was lead singer from 1982 until 1986
Original singer Glenn Shorrock 1975 to 1982 then again 1988 to 1995
Glenn Shorrock recorded 8 albums with LRB
When John Farnham recorded 3 .
LRB has sold over 25 million records worldwide.
    LRB biggest hits in USA
    Reminiscing 1978
    Lady 1978
    Cool Change 1979
    Lonesome Loser 1979
    The Night Owls 1981
The Other Guy John Farnham vocals 1983
    * In Australia biggest hits
    Curiosity Killed The Cat 1976
Help Is On Its Way 1977
Down On The Border - John Farnham vocals 1982
    Love Is A Bridge 1988 .
John Farnham’s signature LRB song Playing To Win unfortunately wasn’t a hit at the time of release in 1984 but has gained popularity as a sporting anthem over the decades , it’s also the only LRB song John Farnham continue to sing in his successful solo career after he left LRB .
The current lineup is American based and no original members and no Australians within the band . Original members can’t reform as The Little River Band or even LRB under legal circumstances the last member left holds the naming rights .

I remember a YT post from a US truck driver who stated that he was listening to a radio station while night driving on a long haul.
The radio presenter was introducing an album from a new band called Little River Band and the radio station was doing a promotion (giving away a few albums). After listening to 'It's a Long Way There', the Truck Driver took a detour and drove over 200 miles (to that radio station), to pick up one of the free albums. He loved to song and the album. @@tonyquinn8405 yes, spot on. This was when little Johnny Farnham was presented to us as adult John Farnham. It did wonders for his career but not so much for Little River Band.

One of my favourites of LRB is love is the bridge. Then again, I remember the other band with Glenn. The twilights. Another great band with Glenn and Axiom with one of the best music writer's and performers , Brian Cadd. Sooo great. Today, they all sing through their nose or the back of their throats and just copy artists.

Yeah, Glen Shorrock was the singer for about a decade before Farnham. Have a look at "curiosity Killed the Cat" Video to see a real 70s band. You may get a kick out of it.

They are touring this year. Idk where you live but you may have a chance to see them live! They are a good band. This is one of my all time favorites and I swear they have a studio version that is far better and over 10 mins if I'm not mistaken.

John only sang with Little River Band at the end. After LRB, he put together the band that made him more popular than ever.
You should listen to Axiom, Little ray of sunshine, then you will see Glenn Shorrock and Brian Cadd

Glenn’s vocals are amazing, as are the harmonies and the band as a whole . Glenn was awesome when I first heard Little Ray Of Sunshine with Axiom

If you love these harmonies (🤗), check out "Human Nature"!! 👍😁 That's Glen Shorrock (he was also was in "Axiom"), he has a strong Aussie accent + Beeb Birtles!? 😉 I remember seeing a video of them in the USA travelling in a bus, maybe the song written over there! 🤔

I loved watching you doubt yourself about the voice. You had the right instincts but went with head knowledge. I always thought John was hired because he and Glenn have a similar sound.

Yeah but you need to understand I was only 10 years of age when John sang with LRB (I was already a fan of LRB) my young ears weren’t very experienced 😄
