As I think back over my childhood I grew up in California Los Angeles to be exact and it was amazing. My children were raised in Texas they had a great childhood summer times were awesome they were safe. Didn't have to worry about them getting hurt. All the parents in the neighborhood we watched each other's kids so they would run and chase each other up and down the street with no shoes on they played out after dark we didn't have those kind of problems and could spend the night at each other's houses. Now my grandbabies,so far I have nine of them , their childhood is in no way any kind of resemblance of mine or their parent's. It's neither fun or Carefree. It consists of schedules ,planning,Amen chores ,assignments ,checking in ,safety plans. There are no sleeping overs no hanging out at the mall.
